Academy of Chaos

“…… She’s a failure from birth” The words of her Grandmother echoed continuously in Yetunde’s head, as she aimlessly wandered the forest, with tears running down her pitiful eyes. Her attention and interest immediately got piqued, when she heard an eerie but peaceful song, alongside a cluster of weird but beautiful glowing particles, originating from a cave, deep within the treacherous ends of the forest. At the entrance of the cave, she felt a grotesque energy surge, which for some reason attracted her towards itself, thereby distorting her sense of reasoning. On entering the cave, Yetunde was immediately greeted by a group of infuriated witches. Originally wanting to kill her for intruding, Yetunde finds redemption and solace in the coven. The Queen of the Coven, Ella, surprisingly gifts Yetunde with a rare Arcane treasure, which she believed would help the young girl out of her present predicament. Shortly after the encounter with the witches, Yetunde was suddenly accepted to school at the most prestigious Academy of magic, known famously as “Solaris Arcane Academy”. Her acceptance was due to the sudden awakening of her innate Affinity. Not only gaining popularity, she gained superiority and soon found herself in an environment of both people who despise her and those who loves her. Making both friends and enemies in her new school, Yetunde and her peers wakes to find themselves on a rollercoaster of action, horror, drama, love, tragedy and other thrilling experiences. After going on countless quests and adventures, Yetunde soon discovered a shocking truth behind her existence. It dawned on her after a brief encounter with her previous incarnation. In her previous life, she was famously known as “The Witch of Chaos”, a human God, whose name got forgotten in time, right after her inglorious Battle with the dreaded Demon Lord, Jarzodon. Unlike other humans, she had an abstract affinity which allowed her to comprehend the seven basic Elemental forces of Nature and after further comprehension of these elements, she was able to awaken a far bizarre Affinity called “Chaos”. With her new profound Affinity, Yetunde soon rises through the ranks of her peers, becoming one of the most powerful Mage, the world as ever seen, as she prepared for her fated battle against The Demon Lord of Malevolence. Immediately after the defeat of the Demon Lord, a new foe rose with an Eldritch Affinity, far greater than that of The Witch of Chaos. Easily defeating Yetunde, The New Witch of Chaos, This new foe began to plunged the universe into a state of disorder and darkness. Yetunde, not willing to accept defeat, joined forces with her peers and family, and with this new power, she challenged her foe to another duel. After defeating this new threat, The Witch of Chaos returned the universe to it’s former state of serenity, restoring peace to the world. Shortly after her battle, Yetunde was forced to relinquish her humanity, in order to transcend into Godhood. What would she do? CHAPTER 6: Acceptance Ceremony

A ton of people, Royals, Nobles and commoners, all gathered in their hundreds as they flocked into the Academy.

Yetunde slowly walked towards the giant fortress, while she stared and marveled at the building's mighty architecture. Her father and grumpy grandmother weren't far behind, they too were marveled by The Academy's astounding structure.

Just a glimpse of the building, one could tell that it was entirely built with Arcatech, as it's white walls glittered brightly and it's blue window shone majestically.

As they were being mesmerized, a voice boomed directly at them, "Adebayo!".

Yetunde's father sighed, rolling his eyes as he turned backwards facing the person who called him. "What do you want Boris?" He asked with indifference.

"Oi Mate, what's with that look you're giving me" Boris said, smiling at Mr. Adebayo who was presently giving him a death glare.

The man named Boris, was dressed in a Black tuxedo with a white dinner jacket, tuxedo pants and a patent leather dress shoes. Beside him were two similarly dressed men. One of them was a young male youth, who was roughly same age as Yetunde, while the latter was a middle aged man.

"Like I said earlier, what do you want?" Mr. Adebayo said.

"Nothing mate, I just wanted to greet my old chap!" Boris brightly said.

"And when was I ever you're chap Johnson?" Mr. Adebayo said, hiding his intense rage.

Hearing his words, Boris couldn't help but chuckle as he recalled his ill relationship with Mr. Adebayo. "Olamide, can you just put our past behind us" Boris commented wryly.

"I'm afraid that's going to be impossible" Olamide replied.

As the two men chatted, Yetunde approached the young male with intents of building a form of mutual understanding.

The young male had bright blonde hair with a pair of black eyes. His eyes were extremely cold, which made it seem like he was giving the entire world a wicked death glare. He was also extremely handsome.

"Hey, I'm Yetunde, Yetunde Adebayo" She brightly said, staring earnestly at the young male.

"Davis Johnson" He proudly said with a posh British accent. He didn't even bother to look at Yetunde, as he presently felt that he was above the world.

"It's nice to meet you, I really hope we could be friends." Yetunde said with enthusiasm.

"I'll pass!" Davis immediately answered.

"What?" She confusedly asked.

"I said I'll pass. See, I know who you are, you're Yetunde, the only human being in the world without an Affinity. I don't even know why you even bother coming to the acceptance ceremony, since you're clearly never going to get accepted." Davis said with a stoic expression.

"Come on Jonathan, let's get going" Davis said to the middle aged man that stood by his side.

"As you wish Sire" Jonathan replied.

Davis and his Butler proudly walked into the academy, leaving Yetunde dumbstruck. Her confused expression slowly changed, as she became furious. Her rage erupted with an intense bloodlust which everyone around her felt.

Sensing his daughter's bloodlust, Olamide rushed towards her, trying to calm her down but his efforts were in vain. "I'll meet you inside!" Yetunde said with a stoic expression, surprising both her father and grandmother.

She angrily stomped into the academy leaving her father in shock. Seeing this, Olamide angrily glared at Boris, who presently had a mischievous smile.

"You'll pay for this" He viciously said, glaring at Boris.

"Let's go mom" He added, walking away from the scene, not even minding if his mother was following.

Meanwhile,

Inside the Academy.

People stared with confusion, as they saw a teenage girl angrily walking towards the Ceremony hall. The girl was definitely Yetunde. Her bloodlust was increasing drastically as she stomped her feet on the ground. Accidentally, she bumped into someone, sending the person butt first to the floor.

"Hey what was that for?" The person angrily asked.

Judging by the person's voice, one could deduce the person was a teenage male. Realizing what she has done, Yetunde stopped to help the person out. She helped the person back to his feet and immediately apologized with a polite curtsy "My deepest apologies".

"You know you got to be more careful.." The Guy said, shifting his attention to Yetunde. He couldn't believe his eyes, the girl before him was extremely beautiful. He soon got lost in her beauty, as he locked eyes with Yetunde. Her black braided hair were extremely luxurious and her chocolate colored skin lustrous, glittering brightly as the sunlight shone on it. The guy felt like he was in the presence of a Goddess.

In Yetunde point of view, she couldn't believe her own eyes. In all her days on earth, she hasn't seen anyone as handsome as him. He had spiky bright crimson colored hair with bright green bulgy eyes. His skin was extremely fair while his face was flawless. Yetunde felt like she was in the presence of a God.

Both of them earnestly stared at each other without saying anything. Before the guy could make his move, Yetunde rapidly dashed away, leaving the guy dumbstruck.

"Who the hell was that?"

This question continued ringing in both Yetunde and Her admirers head. After a couple of seconds, Yetunde reached the Ceremony hall. Without further hesitation, she entered into the hall.

The Hall resembled a huge arena, as it was filled with multiple ascending seats. She immediately headed over to the Noble reserved seats. Picking a spot, she sat and patiently waited for her father and grandmother's arrival.

Shortly, They arrived, taking their designated seats by Yetunde's side. Not long after their arrival, the ceremony began. The crowd was addressed by The Principal of The Academy, who also happened to be the Mayor of Solaris City. Behind him, was a high table which had nine chairs, with one chair free which was for the Principal. Immediately he spoke, the entire hall became silent.

"Good day to you all, I am Nelson Heming. The Principal of Solaris Arcane Academy and also The Mayor of Solaris City. Every year, we gather here to handpick the future generation of Mage's and Scientist and this year, isn't any different.

Behind me, are the head instructor's of each Faction in this school and with their help, I have selected the best of the best. A total of two thousand young adults enrolled for the Academy but only a hundred will be accepted!" Nelson said with charisma.

Hearing him, The crowd began to chat amongst themselves. They were all shocked at the acceptance rate of student's. It was extremely frightening.

"Helping me out today, everyone give a round of applause for the Head Instructor of The Dark Faction, Instructor Lupercio" Nelson immediately added.

As the crowd clapped their hands, a man reluctantly stood up from his chair in the Instructor's high table, with a stoic expression. His skin was pale, his hair, black as night, his eyes were cold and seemed lifeless and his frown was wicked. Everyone could clearly sense his immense bloodlust.

"Hello, I'm Head Instructor Lupercio. As the Principal said, Only a hundred will be inducted today, but firstly. According to the entrance exams scores, the following individuals were ranked as highest among their peers. They're twenty in number and will be asked to take the Induction test momentarily" He said with indifference.

Suddenly, in the middle of the stage where Lupercio stood on, A door shaped glass, slowly ascended from an opening. While this happened, Lupercio took out a scroll and dramatically opened it in front of the audience.

Pointing at the door shaped glass, Lupercio said "This is an Arcane system which we would use to assess the nominees various Affinity".

"Once you're name is called, please head over to the platform for your Induction test" Lupercio added, taking a brief glance at the scroll he had at hand.

"First on the list is Tatsuki Kishimoto" Lupercio calmly exclaimed.

Almost immediately, a girl stood up from the Noble reserved section. From her name, you could tell she was Japanese. She was really beautiful but couldn't still be compared with Yetunde. She wore a black kimono which had multiple Sakura blossom designs. Tatsuki casually walked towards the platform with her head held high.

"Tatsuki, please place your hand on the system" Lupercio said.

"Alright sir!" She replied and without any hesitation, she placed her hand on the glass door.

Suddenly, a computerized voice echoed across the hall "Affinity detected. Affinity Identification: Wind".

As soon Tatsuki heard the voice, she instinctively removed her hand from the glass, when suddenly a runic symbol which signified wind, appeared on her right hand. It glowed green briefly and then disappeared.

"Congratulations Tatsuki, from today henceforth you're now recognized as a student of Solaris Arcane Academy" Lupercio casually said.

"Thank you!" Tatsuki said, respectfully bowing. She went back to her seat while Lupercio glanced at the scroll. All eyes were on Tatsuki, as they began to chat amongst themselves about her.

"Next, we have Davis Johnson!" Lupercio calmly exclaimed.

Just like with Tatsuki, Davis stood and went straight towards the platform. He was then told to place his hand on the Glass door which he did.

"Affinity detected. Affinity identification: Space" The Computerized voice said.

Hearing Davis Affinity, the audience erupted with excitement. Among all the Abstract Affinities, Space Affinity was considered as rare. Same with Tatsuki, a silver colored runic symbol which signified Abstract, appeared briefly on his right hand and then disappeared.

As he went back to his seat, Lupercio took a glance at the scroll and was shocked, but instantly regained his composure.

"The next on the list is none other than...Yetunde Adebayo!" He said.
