Chapter Four

Park gasped awake.

"COME ON ITS GO TIME PARK. GO! GO! GO! GO!"

He was back in his dorm room.

He looked at the time. Park suddenly went stiff.

It was 5:05AM.

Was it a drea...

"PARK, I SWEAR IF I PASS BY ONE MORE TIME..."

The door flew open.

"WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING HERE SOLDIER?" A sound bellowed in Park's room.

"Nothing sir." Park responded as he slowly stood in greeting. His eyes slowly scanned his dorm room he clearly didn't believe that he was back.

"LOOK AT MY HANDSOME FACE WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU SOLDIER!!"

Until he saw it.

"Hehehehehe"

Park laughed in disbelief, but not at the sheriff who was clearly balling up his fist, but at the interface that was now floating before his face.

[First illusion Velvet Dreams has increased the ink's existence]

"GET TO THE FIELD AND GIVE ME TWENTY LAPS NOOWW!!"

"Sir yes Sir."

With this last response Park absent-mindedly walked out of his room and down the hallway.

"IF I DON'T SEE SOME RUNNING, YOU'LL BE DOING DOUBLE TIME!!!"

Park slowly gathered more speed as he went to the field.

"Weirdo," The Sheriff grumbled to himself.

When Park got to the field, He could still see it, The soldiers' corpses all over.

He looked at the soldiers but all he got back were puzzled glances. He started running. The first few laps were not so bad. This was a memory that was heavily ingrained in his muscles, ever since the monsters appeared. Eight years down the line and still he didn't forget the feeling.

But this time it was only soothing breeze and not burning smell of asphalt or flesh. He pushed it all back, The huge structures that fell from the skies, An abnormally large withering tree, an outlawed ground full of indescribable beings, so much was currently happening but it didn't matter at this moment. It was all Park now.

The grown man who was spitting at his face as he was running laps? didn't care.

The recruits who were looking at him? didn't care.

The shining eyes in the trees? didn't care.

Hah.

You know what?

He had enough. Park had his fair share today. Let the eyes adore him or whatever they were doing. He saw the end of the lap and was done.

[Speed has slightly increased]

[Body has been slightly adjusted]

The fatigue became lesser. Park joined the rest of the soldiers and carried out drills with them. He glanced back at the trees; the eyes were gone. It was high time Park understood that it wasn't called Dead Men for no reason. Dead and creepy go hand in hand after all.

It was 6:30A.M. Time for breakfast.

Or perhaps a semblance of it. It was a sort of muck plus a piece of hard bread. Reaaallyy hard bread. They were eating weapons for breakfast. There was a rumor that someone was sent to the infirmary because of some altercation, and the piece of bread was flung at him. Body dropped like a piece of wood, poor soul.

6:45A.M

All the recruits were in class.

The recruits had to undergo a mandatory lecture on Wards, Creature Physiology, Possessions, Basic Elements 101 and so much more.

"Good morning everyone," A creature walked in. She had a headwrap with pointy ears poking through. Her huge white volume of hair hid most of her wraps. The only remaining wrapped part visible was her mouth.

But how was she able to talk?

"I see..."

No you don't hehehe.

"Wait I heard that," Park thought.

"Yes you did," she said.

"Quite a rude batch we have this morning."

Wait what?

"I heard that too?" Park was now puzzled.

And from the looks of it, clearly he wasn't the only one who was shocked. There were murmurs behind him. Clearly everyone heard. Foreign voices filled the room.

Could everyone's thoughts be heard?

"Silence please."

"My name is Yelenith."

"As you have seen, my classes tend to have transparency, so please control yourself."

She's kinda hot.

"Hah. Lets just get started. So I will be taking you through Possession."

You can possess me anytime Baby.

There was a long silence.

"Yeah this is going to be tough." Yelenith mumbled under her breath.

In a sigh she began the lesson.

"So what's Hijacking?"
