CH-35: Visiting An Old Foe (2)

Just like that two of them went to the basement while everyone was sleeping, and got inside their capsules. Sean invited Tyson to his virtual world and chose the Abomination they would be fighting. It was a damn Gazelle with horns that glowed in a green hue.

"Do you think only two of us can take it on?" Tyson asked Sean.

"Even if we can't, that is alright. It's been bugging me since then. I don't like how we got the longer stick and lived only because of it. If the two of us can beat it now, it means it wasn't just our luck."

"I could say it wasn't just luck if you had asked!"

"Oh yeah? If you hadn't capped your three strings to the limit, or this Aberration wasn't out of his league with the ability it got, do you think we would've survived? Or what if we had met with the worm first?"

"You know it is strong even for a Rank 1 Yellow…" Tyson sighed. " Yes we were lucky, but do you think any others could pull off what we did? Even in the same circumstances. We did great, alright?"

"We will see."

{WOOONG!}

The Abomination materialised, and the leisure time the duo had was over.

"We will talk about this later. Let's get done with this first."

Both of them dashed to de Aberration, with each of them covering a side. Compared to a four-man blockade, however, it gave the Abomination more freedom with its movements. There were no distracting projectiles either. Sean opened his attacks with a punch to Aberration's back, but the skin and fat absorbed the attack with no problem. Although Sean noticed that he had pushed the Abomination slightly. He had gotten stronger since then. He was nearly two times stronger from back then. It wasn't only him who got stronger, Tyson too was about 50% stronger than he was back then. These power increases, however, didn't reflect on the fight much. The Abomination had more freedom to move and use its body, and there weren't others who they could switch with once it attacked. It could attack both at the same time, and both of them would have to defend. No free attacks on the creature, no traps, nothing. Only two of them.

Tyson parried its charge with his glaive and avoided a sure-to-kill attack. The fight wasn't in their favour. Sean wanted to attack right after, but the Aberration kicked him, which Sean could only take with his arms crossed, sending him flying.

"Ptui!" He spit on the fake ground, it was blood. "Let's try it again!"

He once again attacked the Abomination, which Tyson also matched the attack in the front, the Aberration simply evaded the attacks. It was using its ability at the same time, looking at the light its horns were emitting. The two were unphased against the mind-hex, as they had faced it before. Shaking the dizziness off, both of them attacked the Aberration once again. From then on, it was a fierce fight between the two sides. One side couldn't deal significant damage while the other had its biggest weapon ineffective. Blows were traded, leaving Sean and Tyson in tatters, but they were still standing strong. Tyson had tried to break its horn like the last time, but the Abomination didn't let him. Sean, wanting to give Tyson a chance to deal a significant blow, attacked the Abomination behind. The Abomination, however, responded with a kick again.

'Not this time!'

Sean leaned back and grabbed the Aberration by the legs, and pulled with all his strength! The Aberration lost its balance from suddenly being yanked backwards, but it tried to save it by using its front legs to jump backwards, trying to get rid of Sean. Sean wouldn't have it, he tightly clutched the legs and twisted them to the side. While doing so, he was smashed under the Aberration, but it gave Tyson a chance to directly cut its neck. Crimson blood trickled down from its neck and pooled above the ground. Sean was not in a good position, but the Aberration had finally been wounded. Sean rolled to the side as the Aberration was getting up, and he dodged a kick that would've landed on his face by doing so. Meanwhile, Tyson pressed on with his attacks and didn't give it more time to focus on Sean, giving him enough time to get himself out of his predicament. Sean stood up, holding his left shoulder. It was crushed by the Aberration and was useless now.

{CRACK!}

"Gah!"

First, he fixed the misplaced shoulder, and then, he left it to dandle. He looked ridiculous, but it didn't matter. He body-slammed the Aberration with his broken arm, and a sharp pain filled his entire being. He fell with the Aberration and wrapped his remaining arm to its neck, and pushed it to the ground, pinning it down. Tyson quickly attacked, right at where he had cut its neck before, which was now slightly healed. He stabbed his glaive right in the wound, and the blade came out from the other side of its neck. It tried to get up, but Sean was holding it. It soon bled to death.

"Haha!"

"Crazy…"

"Ha-hahaha! I knew it! I knew we could do-"

{BONK!}

"Shut up you maniac. What was that for? Are you tired of being alive? If this wasn't inside the E.V.R.S.T. gear, you would've been hospitalised by now."

"Nah, I'm good." Sean dismissed him. "Just some bandages and I will-"

{POKE}

"Owowowowow! What was that for!"

"Just heal yourself already."

Sean healed himself with a command, and he was good as new. Except the silly grin on his face which Tyson found irritating.

"Go sleep. Tomorrow I will make Latoya work you till you pass out."

Sean felt a chill creep up on his spine, and quickly logged out. It was the fastest he had ever been to his bed, and by the time Tyson logged out and went back to their room, he was fast asleep.
