A Year With Super Stars

Synopsis: It was the first day of school. I hated Mondays, I always have. I was seventeen and was hoping to make my first friends in this new town I was in. My mom called just when I was walking through the hallway. It was awkward as my ringing tone was a cat meows. A girl looked at me weirdly and sighed. "Hey, baby, guess what?" Mom's high pitched voice asked. "What?" I asked, less enthusiastic. "Stray Kids! They're going to be admitted to your school. I knew it that's why I enrolled you there". Of course I didn't believe her. What was she on now? "Mom, I gotta go, bye" I said and was about hanging up. "No, baby, I'm being serious. I'd send you the post from JYPE. Not all of them, but 2000 line. Wait" she hung up. I sighed, I wanted to hang up first. I walked slowly to my new class. Not everyone was in class yet. I wanted to walk up to a pretty girl sitting at the back when a notification came in. And my notification sound was a dog barks. Yes, I am that crazy about animals. I hurriedly check the message while the pretty girl placed her bag on the chair besides her making sure I didn't sit besides her. I frowned, if it was my mom I was so going to be mad. My annoyance turned to confusion and then happiness. I literally screamed. JYPE just confirmed. Stray Kids 2000 and 2001 line was to be admitted to my school. The hyung line was admitted to a nearby university. I screamed again. This year was going to be crazy!

My Dad Came

(My dad came)

So y'all this sheeit happened so fast.

While I was still teasing Nikki on how she was totally distracted due to Felix sitting besides her, a teacher came into my class asking for Emilia Sanchez.

I slowly raised my hands up and she said some man was looking for me outside. And he had been screaming at the gate, for the last twenty minutes.

The way she said with a disgusted look made everyone turn to me like asking "which man?".

 "Co-Coming?" I said with a tiny voice.

The hell was that man who had to embarrass me like this. I basically felt Felix gaze on me but I dared not look.

I could stand rooted there and that won't be good.

None of the rest of 2000line bothered look up. Grateful.

I was now leaving the class.

I halfway ran to the gate to bite whichever man.

But I stopped in my tracks when I saw who it was.

What was my dad doing here!

I made careful steps towards him, hoping he'd not disappear. Am I dreaming?

The security men looked visibly displeased and it confirmed that he may have been really screaming outside.

"What are you doing here?" I asked in tiny.

He pulled my arms and nearly dragged me out of the school if not a security pulled me in. "It is still school hours she can't leave".

My father was about having another fit of rage when I shut him up, "Why are you here. I asked you. I am at school, why are you bothering me?".

He was surprised I raised my voice at him. But he wasn't helping with his attitude.

Him shouting at the security reminded him of his and my mom's quarrels. Those were becoming traumas for me. I hated people arguing.

"I am here to take you home" he said calmly

I scoffed. He watched me leave. Ignored my plea to come back together with mom, now want me home.

"I want to. But not without mom" I folded my arms. My eyes were stinging and I couldn't tell why tears were threatening to pour out.

"Did you ask for once what your mother did?".

"I don't think she should be out here settling family problems when her class is going on" the security reminded.

I remembered the class then. I needed to listen as Nikki might hopelessly still be staring at Felix.

"Dad, call mom. We'd meet at home" I wiped off the tears, they finally fell. He frowned as the security pulled me behind the gates.

"Call mom, okay?" I say as he stormed off.

I get why I was crying. I felt excited he wanted me back. But I still felt broken he didn't want mom back.

 They're my family. They two.

I branched off to the bathroom to wipe my eyes before coming back to the class.

The teacher that had came in asking for Emilia Sanchez called me to the staffroom. She was still frowning as she headed back into the staffroom.

I was close to the girls toilet so I sighed. She'd probably want to ask what happened.

I walked in looking at the floor.

"Lia, I heard your dad came, is something wrong?" Mrs. Lia's voice made my mood become brighter.

"Yeah, he came to-" my breathing hitched.

 "Came to?" Mrs. Lia's asked.

Her eyes were on her book, thankfully. Cos mine was on Chan!

He was sitting at a side at the staffroom, playing with some pens? He looked bored.

Some documents were lying around him and he was fiddling some notes on them. His every arm muscle reacting to his movement with the pens.

He was definitely not what I saw on TV. He was more. His eyes wavered to go up and I dragged mine away from him.

What is this guy still doing here?

"Um, yeah. My dad and my mom are getting a divorce" I cleared my voice and blurt out.

My eyes widened. I wasn't supposed to say that.

Mrs. Lia and the other teacher looked up sharply and gave me a pitiful look. I hated it.

A cold ran down my alone when I noticed Chan looking towards me. I must have been loud as he heard me. He looked concerned though. I felt warm.

"Oh, I'm sorry about that. Was that what your dad came to say?" the other teacher asked. She wasn't frowning and looked teary.

I gulped down saliva and faced her, backing Chan.

"No, it had been decided already. He wanted to take me with him. It's not a very good idea. I prefer them back" I kept on blurting out things that I had been keeping to myself.

His stare was still on me. My toes began curling.

"Can we help?" Mrs. Lia looked into my eyes.

"I bet you moved here cos of that right? Have you made friends?" the teacher asked.

I bet she knew I moved here newly cos of my student profile. I had written my old house address as I didn't know the new one yet.

"Friends aren't that easy to get" I made a nervous laughter, "I am friends with Nikki though".

I wasn't liking the pitiful look my bias was giving me.

I exhaled and flung my hair nonchalantly trying to breeze off the sadness and embarrassment that surrounded me.

"Tell me if you need anything. And Dean is your class president, you can talk to him" Mrs. Lia gave me a smile. Finally, not a pitiful look.

I smiled back and tried hopping away but my feet nearly tripped. I walked straight outta that office into the girls bathroom.

Meeting my bias had been epic, whether I liked it or not. Now I'd be that sad little girl from a broken home.

I banged my head on the stalls. I should have just followed my dad when he said so.
