Explaining

The sunlight settled on Vienna's calm sleeping face. Her long black hair was sprawled all over the pillow and her lips parted slightly as light snores escaped from them.

Leon was lying next to her, his elbow on the bed as his hand held his face. He stared at her intently, wishing she could wake up quickly and answer his questions.

Last night...

Leon poured himself another drink after Vienna left. Camy and her boyfriend were still engrossed in their conversation, laughing and touching each other every now and then.

It wasn't up to two minutes after Vienna left that Camy's boyfriend stood up too. "Shit I gave Vienna the directions to the old bathroom. She looked pretty drunk, I should go help her find her way to the new one"

"I'll go" Leon volunteered.

"It's alright Leon. Theo will bring Vee safe and sound" Camy smirked at him.

He had no idea why this girl was looking at him this way. It was the same way she had looked at him when they introduced themselves to each other back in Vienna's bedroom. But nevertheless, he still felt strange about this Theo guy. He was used to guys staring at Vienna all the time, which was why he had been her big brother figure while they were younger, but Theo wasn't staring at her the way other guys did so why was he feeling like this. Was it because Theo held her hand longer than expected? Leon was about to object again but Theo had already scurried away and Phina had come to sit beside him.

Phina and Leon chatted away, they had few laughs and Leon found her company soothing and interesting. But he couldn't stop thinking about what had happened to Vienna. How many minutes had gone by and this Theo guy was still not back with her.

"Phina I'll be right back, I need to use the restroom", and without waiting for her reply he excused himself to the path where Vienna and Theo had gone.

Walking down the hall to the bathroom, Leon couldn't help but wonder if Theo was truly in the right state of mind when he sent Vienna here. It looked really dangerous with all the glasses and cigarettes, like a place where teenagers had been. He heard moans coming from a door on his right. Thinking it was Vienna, he moved to open the door but then he remembered that Theo had told Vienna to go left.

He shook his head as he retracted his hand from the door handle. Ofcourse this was just a place where people in the club excused themselves for real pleasurable fun. He jaw clenched at the possibility that this was why Theo sent Vienna here. With anger in his eyes, he hastily made his way to the bathroom.

"Vee or Vienna" those were the first words that reached Leon's ears as he got closer to the bathroom door. He could tell all too well that that was Theo's voice, and he could as well imagine the stupid smirk on that face of his.

Leon opened the door and he couldn't just believe his eyes. Vienna was in Theo's arms and he was just about to kiss her.

"Theo let go" she called but the idiot was still inching closer to her. He even pulled her closer to himself.

"I think she just said to let go" Leon called out. The idiot seemed to realize himself and stared at Leon in shock. But that wasn't enough for Leon as he lunged at him and gave him a lethal blow that threw him off Vienna.

He was just about to advance further and give this guy the beating of his life when suddenly, a gagging noise shifted his attention to Vienna, and before he knew it she threw up all over him.

His eyes widened in shock and irritation. He was here saving her and this was how she could repay him? Before he could open his mouth to speak, the girl was already falling and he was quick enough to grab her before her head hit the floor. He turned back to face Theo but that coward was already gone.

Still holding Vee, he placed her head on his lap as he removed his shirt. It was stained and reeked of her vomit and he couldn't carry her with her face on it. Thankfully he was wearing a singlet so he didn't have to go out bare chested; though he didn't mind. Tossing the shirt carelessly behind him, he picked Vienna up and walked out of the bathroom.

Getting to where the rest were, Leon noticed that Theo was already seated next to Camy, caressing her thighs. 'Horny cheating piece of shit' he mumbled to himself as he made to grab his phone and keys from the table.

"Oh my god what happened?" Phina exclaimed upon seeing Vienna unconscious in Leon's arms.

"Theo said he got an important call and by the time he was done he didn't see Vee in the bathroom. Where did you find her?" Camy asked worried.

Leon glared at Theo at the cheap lie he just fed these girls. The guy seemed ashamed and avoided his gaze. He didn't want to create problems between these two now, he wasn't just ready for that. "She was passed out when I found her" was all he said as he grabbed his things and headed out.

Vienna stirring on the bed and groaning brought Leon back from his thoughts. He stared at her again with a frown on his face. Just what was this girl doing last night? He remembered how Vienna could always defend herself from boys in high school and how she always told him that she didn't need him fighting for her again as she was now a 'big girl'. Look where that 'big girl' had gotten her now.

Leon watched as Vienna groaned and her long dark lashes fluttered, trying to adjust to the brightness of the room. She turned to face him and when her eyes opened, they widened in shock.

"Hey! You? How did you get here? Did your flight just arrive this morning or did you come when I was already asleep?" She quickly sat up and all signs of sleep on her face were gone.

Leon's eyebrows creased in confusion. Was she being serious right now? Or did she just want to pretend so as to avoid scolding from him on why she threw up on him. Did she not remember anything that happened last night?

"Anna" he said the name as if giving her a warning.

And just like that Vienna looked like she was trying to remember something but then she groaned again and held her head in pain. "Ughh I'm having a huge hangover!"

But Leon wasn't having any of it and called her sternly again. "Anna"

Vienna continued groaning in pain. Leon leaned closer to her and called out like he was going to punish her if she didn't answer him at the moment. "Anna"

And just like that she jumped up from the bed and was screaming at him. "Gosh Leon what is wrong with you?! Can't you see your voice is adding more to my problems? Can't you atleast be a good guy and offer me some pills or coffee for this hangover? Tch, jerk"

Leon's mouth dropped in awe. So this girl was really just trying to fool him? "You have some explaining to do about last night Anna?"

Vienna who was still holding her head in pain turned to him sharply, "Hey my name is Vienna okay. If you can't say that then just call me Vee like everyone else."

'I thought she's hungover?' he thought to himself. He got up from the bed and stood infront of her. It seemed he was swift with his move because she was now looking at him in surprise. "Tell me. What. Happened. Anna"

She stared at him for a while, her bold black eyes searching for something as they looked at every corner of his face. But the look was gone as soon as it came and she was glaring at him again.

"Until you learn how to say my name I ain't telling you shit" she whispered to his face and then she turned, heading to her bathroom. "Where did you get that name from? I mean it's VIENNA. You could say 'Enna' but that still doesn't make sense. But Anna? Is that a move to start flirting with me? That isn't even a sweet name. And what's with you and last night? I don't even-"

Before she could finish Leon had already grabbed her arm and pulled her harshly to himself.

This girl was talking way too much and he needed to shut her up and get her to answer him as soon as possible. "Tell me". He said still holding unto her. "Vienna" he whispered and leaned closer to her.
