Chapter 31 Business is Booming

It was the next day. I thought of reporting the progress of my quest but first I gotta check my store.

I got ready and got to my store.

And as I arrived a scene happened in front of my store.

"What did you say kid!"

"I said you need to respect the line, old man!"

"Respect you say? Those who are respected are strong and powerful, and I have both got that kid."

"Oh yeah why don't I show you a good beating to see if you're right?!"

"What did you say?!"

What happened In front of me was a quarrel between two individuals that were lining up. I guess the old man cut the line but the kid my age didn't like it.

So now they are arguing about this situation. And if not solved early this could damage our store's reputation.

Thinking of the consequences I steeled myself to talk these things out. Man I hate talking to strangers, this is why I hired those girls for this. But I guess I need a strong bodyguard if I want to keep my store safe huh.

But I stopped myself from moving when I saw Claire move to the two individuals.

"Please stop troubling other customers."

"Huh what did you say bi**h? You want a piece of me , do you know who I am?"

"You bastard why are you talking to her like that, that does it I'm taking you down."

As the kid my age was about to attack the old man Claire stopped him.

"Sir stop, and you too I think you need to get in line properly or else."

"Or else what! missy?"

The old man gestured as he taunted Claire. As the kid was about to attack something happened that they were not expecting.

"Please get in the line sir or your underwear will be next."

Hearing her say that the old man looked down only to see his pants down.

Embarrassed, he ran out and yelled.

"I'll get you for this you dumb bi*ch!"

As that was done everyone was cheering and laughing at the old man's situation.

"You did great there, miss."

"That was awesome."

"Thank you everyone for the wait. The store will now be open."

Then Claire announced the opening of the store.

People then started their buying spree at my store. Which is surprising since I thought it wasn't like this a few days ago even from yesterday.

Surprised, I walked to my store thinking it was a good time to do so.

"Wait, are you gonna cut the line? If you are, I think you need to think twice before taking another step."

I was then stopped by the kid from earlier. Seeing his expression I think he thought that I'm some kind of spoiled brat cutting the line. And as I was about to tell him the reason Claire came out again and got to our location.

"Miss good timing this guy is about-"

"Welcome back owner, right this way please."

"Sure thing."

The guy was cut off by Claire as she guided me to the store.

I don't know what happened after that all I knew was that everyone was silent when I left.

I am now in my office with Claire and Lina in front of me.

"Claire, how are you feeling right now?"

"I am doing alright."

She answered me as calmly as she could. But the constant twitching of her hands tells me otherwise.

I guess that's normal even though I had to experience that yesterday. Let's think about this next time I need to know how much this store was able to accumulate this week.

"That's good then but you're still not yet fully healed although right now you are already one rank away from your previous rank, but still you mustn't force yourself. Take things slow and tell me if there are any problems with your current situation."

"Yes, owner."

"Then Lina shows us how business is going."

"Yes owner, right now we have accumulated coins equivalent to at least two platinum coins in this week and we expect it to increase double or more the next following days."

"Huh?"

That's unexpected. I thought it was good to have at least a few gold coins a week but to gain more than 1 platinum what's happening.

"Can you tell me the reason for the increase of revenue?"

Don't get me wrong, having to receive this much money is awesome but biting more than we can chew is dangerous. That is also the reason why I am using an alias when doing business. Especially to the black market where danger can happen at any moment.

"Well in the first few days we had received few customers and everything was slow. Until a group of female adventurers comes, most likely they are a party since they are close. Ever since then they have come here frequently and our customers have increased."

"So the line outside?"

"It happened without us knowing. And the feedback they gave us is that our potions are higher quality than most stores and cheaper. Also the female adventurer group ordered these."

Surprised by what is happening I saw the order and noticed that they ordered appliances that are good for outing. I guess those female adventurers might be famous.

Although I am happy this could also mean trouble. I am trying to take things slow and thought these products would go unnoticed but this is different from what I expect.

"I'll get to it then, you girls go back to work."

"Yes, owner."

Haaa I don't know if this is a blessing or a curse but let's just prepare. There might be more orders to come and not to mention competitors.

I am now at the adventurers guild as I left my store after restocking all my supplies of potion and other products. Now my only problem would be making those requests for the appliances.

As for any requests of future customers I just have to deal with it like how I originally planned. So I just have to wait for my patent to be noticed and maybe many will use it and I would have less work to do and more money in my pocket to arrive.

"We have checked all the requests and they have all been accomplished with great quality and quantity. You are now applicable to take a D-ranked exam."

"Okay then can you please fill me up on what the exam is."

"Well although we can't tell you the content of the exam since it will only be revealed during the day of the exam. I can only say that the content is about working in a party. Where, how, who and why are something we can't reveal to the examinee."

"I see, I'd like to be registered then."

"Okay I'll register you now. I hope you can wait till the date is announced. By then you can take on the quest but let it be known that it won't help much in your rank up exam."

"Okay then, I'll take the usual request."

"Of course, here you are, Sir Bolt."

I then took the request and was about to leave the building when I heard people talking about the eight towers.

"You heard about the new adventurer group.*

"Those lassies? Of course I had. And I caught a glimpse of them at that."

"Who didn't."

"Hahahaha."

"Haha, but seriously have you heard of their raid at Gaia tower."

"Oh they finally raided a tower huh?"

"Did they get past the fifth floor?"

"Even better."

"10th?"

"No. They raided till the 15th floor."

"Are you serious?"

"Dead serious bro."

"With those restrictions they can raid that far. Unbelievable!"

"And what's more it was only their first try"

"That's even crazy."

"Wait till you guys hear this."

"What is it? "

"They did it in only under half a day. And they only got out due to having emptied their supplies."

"That's a new record."

"Amazing."

They are talking about how a group of adventurers, most likely women, conquered at least the 15th floor of the Gaia tower.

The eight towers are named from the eight primordial gods. Although it didn't include the god root because if it does it would be nine towers. And the tower that they talked about is the tower of earth goddess Gaia.

Them talking about reaching that high is really a miraculous outcome to many who raid the towers. But for every tower there would be restrictions placed when stepping on each floor.

And it gets dangerous as it goes higher. But the rewards really outweigh the cons of the tower.

"Man if only I could become a C rank or get a C rank team I could be swimming with money now."

"With your spending habits you wish, not to mention your strength."

"Yeah and what do you expect you need to at least be a rank 2 to get a chance to be a C-rank it is impossible for us to rank up cause we don't even have a core, hahahah."

"You're right hahaha."

"Come on, just let me dream a little but seriously I don't need the blessing, just being able to hunt down monsters and get coins is more than enough."

"Yeah right hahaha."

As they talked about the tower I left the place.
