Chapter 32 Lightning Enhancement.

The eight towers are very important to the economy of this continent.

Inside the tower the coins drop from killing monsters.

And those monsters are kinda like illusionary even though they gave real damage they vanish once killed leaving behind drops like in video games.

But the most dangerous part of the tower is the restrictions it gives to the challengers.

First the number should only be eight people max, and second depending on the type of tower, it will give them restraints that will increase per floor taken.

So the adventure group they talk about are definitely amazing to move fast. Although their record will only be applicable since it was their first try, on that certain tower, taking it another time won't count anymore since that has been the case after multiple clear times.

This also includes the strength of individuals or groups so talking about record breaking clear time might hold some truth. unless they raid a different tower and challenge in breaking its record.

And another thing, the loot that you get must be deducted by a few percent. Making it really strict because if not careful the economy of this continent might collapse.

Like I said, those towers drop loot which includes coins. And these coins have special properties which makes it impossible to plagiarize.

So these coins became the general consensus money to use in all places. Gradually changing the economy.

Those guys are actually right to think you will get rich hunting there because of the coin drops. but they are wrong if they think they could instantly and continuously get rich.

The reason is that the towers have their own buffer time. it is like when a machine is being run they suddenly shut down.

They might have not known this because they are new here but those who have connections knew the truth about the towers.

And one of it is the buffer time that I heard from Prof. Philip. It is when the tower closed off to the public due to over-hunting of monsters, giving too many blessings and more.

In this phase the tower will replenish its energy in a duration of one-day to a month normally. because there was once a time when my great grandfather reached the top earning him a huge blessing shutting down the tower for a full decade.

Ever since then the towers were strictly guarded by the nations to prevent the drop of economy. and to those that hunt there will have to pay a portion of their loots.

Crazy how the market is still running since then because my great grandfather's group had raided all the eight towers shutting them down for at least a decade.

Also for another info the coins has a special use other than for trading. in it there are special mechanisms that help a person gather mana making it very essential to creating a core.

And I might have used this when I was dealing with the chimera before. I didn't know because I did not learn how to use the coins before.

Anyway at that time they must have strictly stopped people from using this function because if they did the coins would crumble into fine dust even mithril would crumble.

So yeah the allied nation controlled the distribution of the coins since then.

Doing a quest was surprisingly helpful to me. I noticed this a few days ago but if I use my skills and technique on a regular basis I somehow get a good understanding of them.

After a few days all of the awkward movements of mine are becoming better and better. From the looks of it, I really need experience.

And my previous battle against the hungry jackal is definitely an embarrassing way of how I use my abilities.

Right now as I master my abilities I thought of something. Right now my usage of magic is close to perfection. And I feel like I can use my body more easily and freely.

So why not try that? I have been trying to use this technique for a long time but everytime I do it I would hurt myself and would take a long time to recover.

"Since now I am able to understand more about myself, why not try it."

Thinking it is alright I started looking at a target far from here. I saw a small horned rabbit from afar and it seemed to be a variant since it is black, not the usual white or brown color.

As I fired myself up I charged myself with mana while using my mind acceleration. although i am not using my domain since i don't want to overload myself right now.

Gradually I changed my mana into lightning. That's right, I am enhancing my body with lightning elements.

Usually this would only work with weapons or to higher ranking warriors. But since I have a multi path core I thought I could do this.

As time passed by my whole body was running with high frequency of electricity and when I thought it was enough I moved to my target.

And before I knew it I cut down the target. as i finished it gradually relaxed my body.

"Success! haha, haa huu haaa."

I have been trying to do this move for a long time ever since I learned I can slow down my perception. So the thing I needed was experience and complete mastery to accomplish it.

I need to go back and celebrate.

Thinking so dragged my tired body along with my stuff back.

Yesterday was a great success and I celebrated it with the girls. They thought I was happy since the revenue actually increased and we earned a platinum coin that day.

But still that was good so just let it be and celebrated it with them. They seem to be gradually doing well right now.

And Claire is close to reaching her rank up. Things are going great and now I'm going to the adventurers guild to turn in my quests.

"I am done. Here are the proofs."

"Yes, I have received them and they have been confirmed. Here you are Sir Bolt. Also the exam date has been confirmed."

After finishing on giving my quest the receptionist told me that the exam date had been picked.

"So when is it?"

"It is scheduled to take place in three days. Here are the forms, please take a look first and sign it to get your confirmation."

"Of course."

I took a look at the papers. Here it shows that if there is any danger or injury that will happen to the examinee then he/she shall not make the guild be responsible for whatever happens.

Seeing this I figured that there might have been arguments placed to the guild before so they made this request. I still signed the papers and gave it to the receptionist.

"I have confirmed your participation. Please wait and get ready for the examination. We would also like to advise the examinee not to take on excessive tasks before the exam to be in tiptop condition."

"Yes, I will gladly take a break before the exam."

After that I left the guild. and thought of reviewing some lessons during my time at Saga Empire.

I understand the concern of the receptionist for the examinee. And from the reaction of her face I think she faced a lot of criticism due to her advice.

At the same time do something about the request I am receiving and I only have three days before the exam begins.

This is actually normal since the exam would usually take a week before it is scheduled to be alright to be taken.

If it is about D ranks but for higher ranks it would usually take at least a month to a year before they can take an exam. And only during special occasions can they rank themselves fast and take the exam or just skip it.

I returned to my shop and greeted the people there and went straight to my workshop in the basement.

This place right here is actually okay for them to go in since I need my stuff to be cleaned and for maintenance.

But only when I work will then this place be off-limits till i am done.

I looked at the request and thought to myself. Did I just shoot myself on the foot or what? Anyway the deadline for this is something i place so it's alright.

And I think it is alright to go in or out the campus since I didn't hear anything against it from prof. Philip.

Then I started working my ass off, to finish these requests.

After three days of hard work I reviewed only a little and mostly did the rest finishing my work for my orders.

I finished at least a quarter of those orders and I think I can finish them in two weeks. Before the entrance exam for the academy.

I then left the inn and changed to my armor as I arrived at the guild.

"Now then what kind of exam will I be taking?"
