Searching and Searching

"Holy sh*t that was way too close!?" As Ava gasp from running.

"Let's go, it's going to take a while for it to consume this whole place. It looks like a plant organism and it's a big one at that so it would need a lot of sunlight for it to grow in this dim place."

"Shouldn't you have explained that to me first?"

"...You're right, the moment already so let's get going."

I started walking in the dim light with Ava. The further in we went the less of it we saw.

"Do you even know where we're going?"

"...I do."

"What's with the pause."

"Well, I can see where we're going but not far. How the hell are these hallways so long I can't even see the end?"

"Here you go again talking to yourself. Well either way we might find some clues if we open and search every door. And I think we have enough time. Who knows, maybe we might find something to deal with what's outside right now."

After this conversation was done through the long hallway we finally found entrances to other areas besides doors to rooms. The other areas weren't like hallways but instead, there were things that you wouldn't expect to be in this place. There was a gym in one area that looked completely clean except for dust everywhere and a ping pong table in the middle of a kitchen and yes I said kitchen.

"Ava, have you found anything yet?"

"Yeah, I found something over here."

"What is it?"

"It's a box."

"Did you open it yet?"

"No, I haven't yet."

When I walked over to Ava She opened the box. Inside the box were a set of sharp knives and the brand "futuristic glasses" which are called "Statistic glasses." like what the glasses are called it gives information on the item or organism.

"Are these glasses?"

"Yeah, they are. To be more specific there "Statistic glasses" you should already know what that means. You should keep those. I already have a powerful weapon of my own."

"I'll keep this then. This should be enough for me. You have Levin there who's a bloodsucker weapon and me who has a blue shield as her power which can levitate me when it's under me and some sharp knives and "Statistic glasses."

"Pack those and let's keep searching for any clues."

'Master, mutants are coming your way.'

"How many?"

'4 mutants.'

"Hold on Ava. Weren't all of them dead Levin?"

"There's no way for them to escape since it's surrounding this whole place. The mutants must've just been wandering avoiding it."

"Ava, There are some mutants that are about to pass us. Do you want to try out those knives of yours because there is no way I can fight them?"

"Yeah, I need some practice."

"You should have had close-combat training right?"

"Yeah, I did learn it once in a while when I had a break. Sometimes on breaks, the instructors would bring me out to learn close combat."

"Alright, the mutants should be about to go by us."

To make sure it wasn't a failure. I brought out Levin hiding behind the door just like Ava is going.

'Master the mutants just passed.'

"What!?"

I looked back at Ava to see she was already gone. I went out and saw that Ava had already killed all 4 of them. One mutant was still alive; it stood back up behind Ava.

"Duck!!"

Ava Ducks.

I shot at the mutant as fast as I could. When I shot at the mutant, multiple round electric balls Spat out at a fast speed. When the mutant was shot in the head it stunned the mutant after a few seconds the head splattered everywhere. Luckily none got on me somehow.

"What the hell was that Levin?!"

'That was a Rapid shot. It's-'

"I can already guess the rest so no need to tell me."

I went back to Ava.

"Ava? Are you okay?"

"Yep, I'm all good here."

"Why did you rush in?"

"I wanted to try what I learned. And guess what!?"

"It worked?"

"It f**king worked! I mean that was damn awesome! I sliced the 3 mutants in an instant beside the last one that was still alive."

"Yeah, I can see that."

I looked at the dead mutants to see half their body was split.

"How did you cut them that far?

"Oh, When I was focused and all, it suddenly just came to me that if I could use my power to shield and levitate why to change the shape. It could be used as a weapon. So I focused on wanting my knives to transform longer and sharper.

"Ava, are you a natural battle genius or something?"

"I don't think so. It just came to me."

"...Let's just keep going."

After a few minutes of searching, we started to find dead mutants everywhere.

"Whoa, what happened looked like they were slammed towards the walls and ground and everywhere." Ava wondered.

"No idea. Just keep on searching."

After many minutes we haven't found anything from all the rooms.

"Let's stop, there's no way we can find any clues after this long...Ava? Are you there?"

I walked over to the other room to see Ava laying on the ground.

"Ava!"

I ran towards Ava and could see that Ava was alive and breathing.

"What the hell happened?"

"I was looking around and something fell on my head."

Looking around I could see something shining green like the roots of flowers. I bent down and grabbed it. It was shaped like a cylinder. When I turned it over I could see through the glass and inside of it was a catalyst and other substances.
