An Intelligent Hovercycle

Suddenly the hovercycle shows a hologram up above it and words appearing every second

[Answer: Making use of all the unuseful parts attached i've made it so it could carry all of you for a limited time. As my owner summoned me again and a new companion arrived It seemed that there was an emergency as I scanned your faces and surrounding area of the vehicle to know the situation. I've done an emergency upgrade with 10% of success]

"I have a question for you. When did you even gain intelligence?" I said,

[I've had it since the beginning.]

"Then why didn't you say anything the whole time?"

[When I was picked up by the human which my owner had met, multiple parts of me were already destroyed especially the program to be able to have communication besides the motherboard. As the human had turned me to another machine the human installed a repairing system in me that could only repair minor parts such as the surface layer. Along with that I used 50% of my energy and 21% of material to be able to improve the repair system. With the improvement of the repair system a simple communication system was made which was supposed to be installed in any vehicle like mine.]

"Well that was a long explanation" Ava says.

"Then you used the most of the energy that was left. What does material life mean? What's with the tinkering status?"

[The material life is the external function of the hovercycle and the most important one which is called the motherboard. With every high/big damage to the exterior the interior will slightly be damaged along the way. It's been maintaining a material life this whole time, doing everything possible to have a high material life of 98%. It has been lowered to 77% as I failed to improve myself while tinkering.]

"That's all the question I have. Ava did you have any to say?"

"I don't have anything to say."

Isra, how about you?"

"What were you previously?" Isra asks with a sense of curiosity holding back from asking anything else."

[I was a car.]

"...Anything else?"

[I can only work as a transporting vehicle. 90Na3. Call me Sonar.]

Isra's curiosity is still in her eyes but she decided not to ask anything else as she was hungry.

"Eat this. We should get going since we're running out of food for you two."

"Where are we supposed to go now?"

"What else we're going to keep following the road. There isn't any other way to go.

"Then what about the forest?"

"What about it?"

"Couldn't we live in the forest or something. There has got to be something to eat."

"All the plants mutated. They can eat you alive."

"Wait a second, what about the trees and grass shouldn't they have mutated and eaten us when we were sleeping?" Isra's eyes told me she was scared when eyes slowly turned black as she shivered.

"The trees and grass are passive. I have no idea why though since it's been only a year. All you need to know is to never and "Never" ever enter a forest or anywhere that is full of plants since you would have known what kind of plant or mutated thing would be in there.

Her eyes turned blue as she sighed in relief

"I got it. I'm already having fun being with you two besides the terrifying things that we encounter."

"That's a nice thing to say but really though we're running out of food there's only about 2 cans of food left."

Ava went on the hovercycle.

"Are you two getting in or not?"

We both got in while I was in the back. We rode off.

"It's pretty cozy since you asked me besides the dust getting in my face. At least you two have a windshield covering you.

"Which is?"

"...I'll be fine without a windshield. I haven't heard you talk for a while Levin."

"I guess I don't have any questions right now."

Riding the hovercycle at top speed. The area hasn't changed at all with no city in sight.

*22 minutes later*

Riding on we noticed another road connected to the main road. A sign for both roads was shown. Above both of the roads there were big signs.

[MainRoad: FellerRoad < - 20miles]

[NewRoad: SunnyTown - > 6miles]

"Where should I drive?"

"SunnyTown we really need food." I said,

From the back I could hear Isra's stomach rumble despite the hovercycle being loud enough to block the noise of talking face to face. I could see Isra's ears turning red behind her hair, which was a pretty interesting thing to discover.

"I agree and don't mind the rumble that's the hovercycle not me." Isra's ears were still bright red as we drove off.

We go to the new road heading towards SunnyTown.

"At this speed we'll get there anytime." Isra says sure of herself.

*5 minutes later*

"Here we are."

We got off the hovercycle with Ava putting the hovercycle back in. Just about to enter the town we see a welcoming sign which looked all rusty and old as there were vines covering it that we couldn't even see most of what the sign says.

SunnyTown didn't look as destroyed as the cities. Just that it was eerily quiet, no sounds of mutants, monsters or any odor of what you would smell from corpses and no sight of blood splattered anywhere.

"This place is freaking me out a little." Isra says.

"Same here I have a bad feeling about this place." Ava was on guard now.

"We don't really have much of a choice."
