Chapter 9 - This is what I can do For Now! (part 4)

Midoriya still looked a little lost in thought. I wonder what was going on in his head. Until finally he looked up at Aizawa in determination. I looked over at Aizawa who was about to say what we were doing next.

Grip strength. I looked at Aizawa like he was insane, he didn't see me.

I grabbed the machine, it fit well in my hand. There were 4 buttons, an on/set button. Another was an arrow with a /user. The third button had a down arrow with a /and a book-looking thing. The last button was a simple START button.

I wrapped my fingers around the handle and squeezed with all my might. The machine beeped decently loud. It read: 67.2 kg. I was honestly a little surprised and a small smile appeared on my face. I wasn't expecting a really good grip strength. Most people can't even get 56

Someone was surprised by something.

The guy with the zig-zag haircut. He said, "Wow! Did you hit 540 kilograms? You're a beast!" He was saying that to someone with 3 arm-looking things on each side. He had a blue mask covering his mouth and nose. His hair was a light gray and it came in front of his face. His training uniform didn't have arms.

Then a guy added to the zig-zag guy, the boy was the shortest in the class with 4 purple/black balls on his head. He was incredibly short though! "Yeah, like a muscle-y octopus!"

I looked back over at Midoriya he looked disappointed in himself. I don't blame him, I wonder what he even got.

The next test was a standing long jump. Everyone took their turns and when I did mine I did a lot better than what I was expecting. I made it to the end. I was really happy but when Midoriya went he barely made it far enough. He seemed extremely stressed about this.

He was also trying to focus, I could tell but seeing everyone else must've made him feel less than. I wanted to talk to him but knowing myself, I wouldn't be able to talk without stuttering.

Test 4 was a repeated side step. Again we all took out turns, the purple ball guy got a crazy number by bouncing off his balls. That sounds incredibly wrong...

When I went up I got 89, not a bad score, for at least what I usually get. My training was working well! But when I looked at Midoriya again, he seemed stressed and anxious. I felt like I could see him in me, though it was different.

I was doing decent at everything he sucked at he was honestly doing terrible.

The 5th test was a ball throw. I already hated this when we got us lined up. When Uraraka went up, her number was the highest at infinity. Everyone said to themselves "INFINITY?!" I didn't even think that number was possible.

The guy with yellow hair and black stripe in it, his name is Denki Kaminari. He was one of the most surprised, "That's insane! How's that even possible?"

Again I looked over at Midoriya, he seemed more and more depressed and worried as every moment passed. I felt terrible, but I was decently far away from him.

Next, it was Midoriya's turn. He was looking as terrible as before, not to mention he was staring at the ball for a moment, he was in deep thought.

Bakugo and Tenya were in a weird argument, Bakugo was talking about how Midoriya was quirkless and Tenya was saying how he has a quirk. I couldn't tell you, he didn't seem all that powerful. That was at least until I used my precognition on him.

Aizawa was staring at him, he looked like he was hoping Midoriya would shape up, not to mention he looked deep in thought.

Tenya was saying, "Did you not hear about what he did in the entrance exam?" Bakugo was just confused and let out a, huh?

Suddenly, when Midoriya threw the ball he looked like he was about to throw it. My precognition already told me, but Aizawa stopped him. The robot lady said, "46 meters!"

Midoriya looked in complete shock. My eyes widened as I looked over at Aizawa, wondering why he did that. "I erased your quirk." Everyone was now looking at Aizawa, his scarf flew in the air along with Aizawa's hair.

"The judges for this exam were not rational enough. Someone like you should never be allowed to enroll at this school." As Aizawa said that, I was confused. He seemed powerful and obviously had a powerful quirk, but why was he stopped?

Aizawa and Midoriya were talking as the rest of us stood away. I was confused. I wanted to use my precognition, but I felt it was wrong in this situation.

He looked completely determined and he began to throw the ball again, but this time it was different. Everyone had their eyes on him as the ball was let out of his hand and the ball flew through the sky. Whereas Aizawa looked at Midoriya with a different look.

One of admiration and looking at Midoriya like he could be a hero in years, maybe months. Midoriya grabbed his hand saying to Aizawa, "You see? I'm still standing."

I stood far away from Midoriya, but after that, everyone was looking at Midoriya differently. Especially Bakugo. Even I couldn't help but see Midoriya like he was becoming a hero. Quicker than anything anyone else could do.

After a few other people, my turn came around. I walked up to the front, I understood I'd do one of the worst, at least nothing like the blonde-haired guy who was incredibly proud of everything they did. Even if they fell straight onto their face.

I threw the ball as hard as I could and I only got 63 meters. It was okay, that was for sure. But walking back felt a little weird. So far I was not meant for the physical hero work. I could run and do activities better than the average person but my quirk was utterly useless against everyone else.
