A Reincarnator's Journey

David Valor, a normal sophomore student, dies in a cliche 'truck-kun' accident just to get sent to another world by the system! Using the 'true' system, he slowly rises to the top of the food chain before truly begining his adventure! (David may not be a "Good" Mc as I want to write it in a way of what I would do if I was in this situation myself. Of course there will also be some things different than what I think as well.) *** Note: I have no real plans for this story, it was made on a whim, so it may lose quality on the way, please read with caution! Schedule: I'm still in school so updates will also be somewhat slow, also, english is not my first language so please comment if I wrote something wrong! Thank you for reading!

Sub-Occupation Classes?

"I'm not late... not late!"

His voice traveled through the room, prompting everyone to stare at him.

Bennett saw that everyone was already in the classroom as if waiting for that last person.

Seeing that everyone's gaze was at him, he scratched his head and went to sit next to David.

Gluri coughed, "Bennett Vale, check. Don't worry, for the early morning event, classes should've started 15 minutes later... but since everyone is here, we can start now."

'Ah... my precious mana...' He cried to himself.

David patted his shoulder, "Don't worry... I'm pretty sure you'll do fine... ok... I'm taking out the sure part..."

David could sense the low levels of mana Bennett had right now. Did he use mana to enhance his body all the way? Did he use a taxing spell to propel himself here? Why was it so low? David didn't know.

"Wh... it's because of my mana isn't it?"

David stared at him, "Yeah, I was wondering why you had such low mana reserves, it was only a few minutes ago when we were last together."

Just when Bennett was about to explain, Gluri interrupted them, "As you all should have seen from your student handbook, today's class will be dedicated to sub-class training. Whether you find it interesting or not, it is required that you at least have a look at it."

"But do not worry, you'll just be doing the very basics with them, starting with... blacksmithing."

Gluri didn't wait for their response and opened a small portal.

"Do not go in yet, I will talk with the others inside so they can be prepared in advance."

He entered the portal, leaving everyone in the room alone.

Inside the dimension...

In an instant, the world had merely one large building as its border. The rooms looked like they were made from mostly stone instead of wood.

There were several rooms, each with their own set of tools... for blacksmithing?

*Clang~ Clang~*

The moment Gluri entered, he heard the noise of a hammer and metal bang together.

It wasn't that hard to find the room that was occupied, his senses were much better than ordinary people. He would've found it in just a minute or so, except for that the fact that was some smoke and sparks coming out of a certain room.

Gluri turned the other way, took a breath of 'fresh' air, and entered the room.

When he entered, he saw a middle-aged dwarf who was swinging his hammer, covered in sweat.

Like any other blacksmith, he's wearing a white t-shirt, with a brown apron, and a pair of black pants rolled up to his knees.

*Clang~ Whoosh~*

The dwarf hammered the metal on more time, and an oppressing aura spilled out of it.

It was strong... but was only about the strength of an early tier three being, both of them were able to easily resist it without a change in their expression.

The dwarf stopped, "So... the students are here early?"

"Yes, I will inform the others."

The dwarf didn't stop him when he opened another portal, disappearing with it.

"Better be some good candidates this year... gettin' rusty." He stretched his arms.

His name was Sitlui Stone, back in the dwarf territory, he would be considered that of a noble, considering both his family and his own personal skills.

He was an honorary professor, mainly a blacksmith, but recently picked up the hobby of teaching the new generation.

He was found by Luke, quite recently, about a few years ago when he was teaching a few other dwarfs the basics of blacksmithing.

He glanced at the blade on the anvil and the hammer next to it, sighing, "It's been a few years, ain't it?"

He jumped off his stool, grabbing all sorts of materials from the bin next to him.

'This oughta be enough for today...'

He brought out the tools, setting them up neatly on the anvil.

'Pre-heating, check, hammer, check, materials, check, quality anvils, check... and that should be all.' He looked pleased with how he set everything.

Back to Gluri...

He didn't rush, nor did he take his time, but it was done faster than expected only about three minutes!

*Whoosh~*

Gluri arrived back in the classroom, "Alright. I've informed all the teachers to be ready slightly earlier than usual. Our first class should be ready by now." He pointed to the portal.

"When the time is up... or when class starts, there will be a bell ring, which then a portal will appear. Good luck on your sub-occupation classes!" He waved.

*Step~ Step~ Step~ Step~*

Walking into the portal, everyone had their own expectation for what today's class was going to be like.

*Whoosh~*

They had entered the same stone blacksmith shop that Gluri had stepped into. To some of them, it was very dull, maybe a bit too dull, but they didn't dare speak out in front of a professor, even if it was just an honorary one.

*Ring~*

Hearing the ring, all the students stayed put, waiting for their new teacher to come out.

"Oh? Seems like all the students are already here..."

Since no one was talking at the time, the voice echoed through the halls. The calm, yet raspy and low voice made some of the students shiver in fright.

*Step~ Step~ Step~*

Footsteps rang out in the hallway, revealing... Sitlui.

"Ello. I'll be your temporary... well depends if you want to stay in this class, but, I am the head blacksmith in charge of the weapons, shields, and armor of this school. I'm Sitlui Stone, just call me Mr. Stone, or boss, either is fine. Any questions so far?" Asked Sitlui.

Bennet raised his hand, he didn't have any interest in this profession, but it'd be nice to at least get to know about it, so he kept himself motivated.

"Yep... Bennett, right?"

"Yes, boss. I was wondering what we'll be doing, or crafting today?"

"Heh... although I don't want to scare off any grunts... I can't give ya'll shortcut, so most of you are gonna be just hammering metal and see what it feels like for you." He shrugged.

He waited for any more hands to be raised. Seeing none, he turned around.

"'ight. We don't got much time here. So let's get to it! Follow me!"
