A Surprise

Calista scanned her surroundings and prepared to leave. She put in all of her belongings in her purse and got up to leave when the incharge got a hold of her.

"Where do you think you are going Ms.Calista?. You know we all are setting up the office for the new CEO's visit! I know it's the weekend and we all are skipping lunch too." The incharge spoke as if he knew that Calista was leaving for lunch.

Calista broke into a cold sweat and she was thinking about the perfect excuse. Ultimately she couldn't come up with any so she had to admit that she was indeed leaving for lunch.

"Y-Yeah, But can you please let me go off this time? I have to leave It's really important for me! Please just let me off the hook this one time!" She could only say this much.

"There's no way that I'm allowing that and do you even know how strict the new CEO is? And the Department head will not leave me alone if he finds out that one of us is missing!" The incharge spoke as a matter of fact.

It was indeed an important occassion which was not to be missed. But Calista had her own reasons to avoid it. She had to leave so she came up with the most absurd solution possible. She decided to run away and be ready to be beheaded when she comes back to the office.

This was the only way out! She would definitely face the consequences once she comes back!.

So without giving it much thought she ran away from the place after promising the incharge that she'll be back as soon as possible!. She could hear the incharge call after her but she has to leave!

She got into the elevator and pressed Level 1.

Her heart was beating so fast! "This is it! I've been waiting for this!" She told herself. She couldn't hide her smile. She has always dreamed of this.
