It has been two days since the revelation of Batman's secret protocols towards the Justice League and it's members. The League held a meeting discussing the topic of Batman and his contingencies against manipulated or brainwashed league members or heroes that decided to go rogue.
After a bit of back and forth from the other members of the league that were not present during the incident with Cell, they yielded it was deemed a necessary precaution. Everybody took extra measures to make sure that the contingencies that were supposed to be used to keep the heroes in line and disciplined, to not fall into villainous hands.
They took great care in keeping the secret and installing additional security inside the Watchtower databanks and the Batcave to not let any intel leak out or expose vulnerabilities.
Except for Cell. During the confrontation with Batman and the League, Cell memorized the audio played by Batman whilst explaining himself. He memorized it word for word, sentence by sentence and syllable by syllable. It was valuable information after all.
It also doesn't help that Cell has access to said information being a League member. But as a drawback to this, Cell has noticed that he was under surveillance from time to time.
Batman did not trust him with the information nor did he trust Cell himself, but he had to put up with him, so with that, Cell was branded as a being of immense strength and incredible resistance. He wasn't regarded as lawful good, but rather in between neutral and evil. And thus, a being of immediate threat should he decide so.
So it was decided that Cell would be a wild card amongst the League. He would only participate in high risk-high reward missions and missions that involve...
"Cleaning up."
Cell wasn't exactly thrilled that he was being told what to do, but he liked the fact that his strength was well valued and his position was respected, so he conformed to their demands...for now.
Red Tornado, who had been in the same situation as Cell when he first started as a hero, sympathized with him and he also had the same rocky relationship with Batman in the beginning, so he thought that Cell and Batman could become good friends down the line in the future.
Martian Manhunter or J'onn J'onzz, was quite open minded towards Cell, and respected his of willing to put down the problem permanently. Although his reasoning and work ethic could use a bit of work. His morals and principles, leaves much to be desired however. Superman is of the same opinion.
On Batman's side however, was Green Arrow and Black Canary. They believed that Cell should be denied certain access to certain information until he could be trusted or when he has proven himself to be worthy of such compliance.
The othee members of the league felt neutral about this, they thought that Cell's power was necessary, a big help should they need to deal with a villain that is immensely strong. And put them down permanently.
Wonder Woman, despite aiding Batman with putting trackers in Cell's room, was one of the few people who remained neutral. She respected Cell's strength and martial prowess, something the amazon's find a good trait.
----------------
It has now been a week since then...
*Punch* *Smash* *Crash*
Green Lantern (John Stewart) , Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman are currently preventing a Prison Break, denying the prisoners of their freedom.
Wonder Woman dodges a punch from a villain to what Cell assumes to be called Cheetah. The description Cell read, matches the identity of this feline villainess. The Amazon Princess easily dealt with the enemy with minor difficulty, dodging her scrathes and attacks and dealing a few, yet precise and well placed strikes coupled by her strength as a demigod.
On the other hand, Batman is faced with an enemy that Cell doesn't recognize, that enemy is armed with a gun that is connected to the Backpack he is wearing. Batman was on the ropes for a while but manages to turn the tide of battle in his favor in rapid succession, by maneuvering through the enemies shots and retaliating with his Batarangs with incredible accuracy disarming the enemy and thereby subduing him afterwards.
John Stewart is faced against a snake man named Copper. Copper was agile and had a potent acid, but it was a poor matchup. With John's incredible defense and offense, he managed to counter Copper with ease. To which he successfully defeats.
And Superman deals with a caveman brute to which Superman sent flying with a punch to the gut and the face. Cell doesn't recognize him, but considering Superman is easily beating him up, he probably isn't worth remembering.
Meanwhile whilst all of this was happening, Cell was just standing in the corner, crossing his arms and watching, as if he was watching a T.V show.
"Tch, pathetic lowlifes. They aren't even that strong." Cell mumbled.
Wonder Woman ties them all up with her Lasso of Truth after being rounded up.
"Are you guys finished? I have a life to you know." Cell said.
"And you're supposed to be helping us out. Remember the meeting? You said you were going to contribute and follow the league rules." Batman replied.
"Oh, come on. You guys easily dealt with them, I don't see why I should bother myself with these weaklings when you guys had it covered." Cell replied.
"Well, some help would be appreciated." John Stewart said.
Cell just rolls his eyes at this.
"Well, that's a wrap" Joked John when the enemies were wrapped by Wonder Woman's lasso.
The others just stared at his joke, indicating it was a bit bad.
"Sorry, been hanging out with Flash too much lately." Replied the Green Lantern Member.
"Good, I take it now that I can take my leave?" Cell inquired.
"We did our part, you do yours. Take them to a different maximum prison. Separately. To ensure they don't plan any ither prison breaks." Batman said.
Cell just grumbles at his words, but suddenly a violet wave hits all of them. Cell felt a different kind of energy Cell as it passes through his body and is bewildered when the League Members disappear when he looked behind him. And not just that, but the subdued villains as well.
"How, Fortunate." Cell said as he flies away. He looks around and sees that the place is deserted. He lands on a road and walks around. He calls Krilla telepathically who is on the watchtower.
"Hey daughter, I sensed a weird vibe from earlier, do you know anything about it?"
"No daddy, Martian Manhunter disappeared too, and all of the other members of the JL. The Young Justice Members are still around though."
"What are they doing currently?"
"Nothing, just lazing around they don't have a particular mission as of yet. Cell Jr is with them too."
"Hm…alright, just keep an eye on things. I feel that something is going on."
…
…
…
Cell continues to walk around and finds…multiple children? They all head to gather at one direction.
'Where could their parents be? Last time I checked human parents do not tend to leave their human offspring behind unless they have matured.' Cell thought.
Cell flies around some more and comes across a Disney like theme park with a LOT of children, he lands but is greeted with a scene change. The clouds become orange, the trees become dead and the buildings of the theme park become horrid and a bit less kid friendly. There is even a guillotine at the center.
'It looks similar to those of medieval ages, in decriptions on books.' Cell thought.
'Fascinating, I wonder what kind of phenomenon could have made this possible.' Cell thought more as he walks around, making his steps audible.
He comtinies to investigate the place for a few minutes until something catched his attention. Cell looks around and then sees a lot of kids head inside a huge castle. Cell walks up to the castle entrance and used his psychic powers to secretly pull one of the kids towards him.
"Hey you! Unless you want to die, you better answer my questions, you understand you brat?!" Cell commanded, as the kid nods erratically in fear of this 7 feet tall being.
"Now tell me, what's in that castle, why are you all going in there, for what purpose?" Cell interrogated.
"S-somebody said that a king lives there and saif that they would grant any wishes." the kid answered.
"Any wishes? Any?"
"Uh-huh!"
Cell then throws the kid in a nearby fountain, landing in the water drenched in liquid.
'Wishes...could they be similar to the dragonballs of earth? Or perhaps some thing else entirely...' Cell thought.
Cell enters the castle entrance, pushing all the children aside telekinetically, saying..."Move, out of my way you little brats!"
His telekinesis caused all the children to be pushed and land on their butts, causing some of them to whine and cry.
Cell is irritated at the abhorent noise they were making.
"All of you better shut up, or else I swear to god that I will send all of you to the afterlife!" Cell threatened as he frowns and points one of his hands and readying a Ki Blast to the crowd of kids. This shuts the kids up but continued crying, suppressing the noise, all could be heard was snifling and silent sobbing.
Some even said..."I want my mommy!"
"And you will, I'm here to destroy whatever the cause of this is, if you all want to go back to your parents, stay out of my way." Cell said with an irritated tone as he walks into the castle.
As Cell entered, he saw the castle filled with stone gargoyles and torches for lighting.
"The person who designed this is terrible at decorum." Cell mumbled.
As he walks, he came across a long hall with a giant double door. He walked in front of it and opens it, and what greets him surprises him.
A small brat wearing purple medieval like outfit who is using magic and sitting on a throne is what Cell sees when he enters.
The Kid hears Cell's iconic footsteps and sees him.
"Y-YOU! What are you?! Who are you?! I thought I made sure that the adults were banished from this world!" The brat says.
"Oh~ so it seems my assumptions were correct. The one responsible for that phenomenon is in this castle. Thanks to that The Justice League are out of my backs, but I'm afraid I'm gonna have to deal with you. I'd hate to see a world ruled by an immature child." Cell monologued.
"ANSWER ME YOU HEATHEN! I AM YOUR KING, KING MORDRED! AND I DEMAND AN ANSWER! TELL ME WHO YOU ARE OR I WILL EXECUTE YOU!" the brat demanded.
"Ah, where are my manners, my name is Perfect Cell. The perfect life form. And I'm here, to end your pathetic life." Cell said.
"Perfect? Ha! To end me you say? Surely you jest! I'm the one who is going to end you!" said Mordred as he summons three robot toys and enlarges them and ordered them to attack Cell.
"Toys? Really, toys?" Cell said mockingly as he fires his Death a death beam, in the toys joints, rendering them immobile. The robots were down for the count.
"W-what?! That's impossible!" reacted the brat.
"Well, time to die brat!" Cell smirked as he was about to fire another death beam but is interrupted by…
"Cell! Stop!" said a voice.
Cell turns around to see…Wonder Woman, Batman, John Stewart and Super Man. In kid bodies.
Cell stares with wide eyes before he begins to laugh.
"Hahahahahaha! If I didn't recognize your life signatures, I would've assumed you to be children cosplayers. Cheap wannabe's." Cell mocked.
"So, Justice Tweens, why should I not kill this brat?" Cell mocked further.
"Because, we don't kill." Batman said.
"And who's going to stop me? You're all kids. Weaker than me. I can kill you all right this very moment…" Cell said as he points a Ki blast at them. The others get to defensive positions.
"And besides, nobody's going to miss a people like him." Cell added.
Batman narrows his eyes at this.
As this conversation was happening, Mordred saw an opportunity and used his powers to conjure a pit and makes the others fall in a trap…except for Cell.
"I can fly you know. Are tou blind? Can't you see my wings? You think these beetle wings are just for decoration?" Mocked Cell.
"What the?! Grrr!" Mordred blurts.
"Oh, and to answer your question as to why I'm still here despite your little spell, is because I'm only less than 10 years old from birth." Cell said as he fires a death beam at Mordred, piercing his stomach.
"NOO!" yelled John Stewart as they all come out of the pit, with an extra member. A yellow demon.
Cell turned around and comments..." How could you all fall for that trick? Most of you can fly!"
"Y-You killed him?!" Kid Superman mumbled with a horrified expression, that all of them donned.
"Calm down. He is still alive…against my better judgement. I didn't hit any vital organs, and the beam seared the wound after it hit so he isn't in any danger." Assured Cell as he comes near the boy and grabs the amulet.
"So this is the cause of this phenomenon…such power in the hands of a mere brat." Mumbled Cell to which Batman became weary about.
"But, Magic isn't my thing. I'm a science guy." said Cell as he crushes with his hands.
…
…
…
Everything went back to normal, the adults returned and the theme park was restored to its original state. A woman with a mask with red robes approaches the Justice League.
"A bargain is a bargain." Said the woman as she restores the league to their adult forms.
"And who might you be?" Cell asked.
"The mother of the child you did battle with. I am Morgan la Fey"
"Oh please, it was hardly even a fight. Your son made for a good target practice however." Cell mocked, to which Morgan stayed quiet,
"Ah, so you are that brat Mordred's progenitor. Hahahah" Laughed Cell.
"A warning to you and your child miss Fey, The next time your child crosses me, or pulls something like this ever again, I will make sure that your child's lifespan will be immediately cut off. Same with his unsavory attitude." Mocked Cell.
"I will keep that in mind." la Fey answered as they vanish into a portal.
"So, Batman you wanted contribution, there it is. I take it that I can leave?" Cell asked.
"No-" Batman replied but is cut off by Superman.
"Yes Cell, just make sure to keep this in you." Superman hands him a tracker.
"What is this?"
"A communicator, to make sure we can keep in contact when you are doing your business."
"I see, very well. I will now take my leave." Said Cell as he flies off.
Batman then glares at Superman and says "What do you think you're doing?"
"Calm down, I know he won't cause trouble without reason. Besides, he helped us so that earns him a bit of trust right? And he didn't get rid of us when he had the chance to." Retorted Superman.
"If anything happens, you better take responsibility." Batman said to which Superman nodded.
As Batman walked away, Wonder Woman caught up to Batman and talked with him, as they both got in the Batmobile. Presummably to do something together.
