A Mate For The Devil

"Take me home!" "Please, take me back to my pack, that is the only way to win my heart." I begged. There was a loud bang. At once, anger flashes through his eyes. "Never!" He roared. "Never! That will not happen! You are my mate, Mine alone! The sooner you realize this, the better!" He growled and walked out of the room hitting the door hard. I didn't care. Chapter 3.

Devon's POV.

The loud cries of the crowd filled me whole. Satisfied, I smiled proudly, my eyes not leaving the werewolf in my arms.

I glanced at her, she was beautiful, more beautiful than I imagined her to be. Her long black hair flowed, her makeup-ruined face was pale, and her flawless skin radiated so much royalty, the kind of royalty I need for a mate.

"Welcome your Lordship."

Abadon, my trusted advisor, walked towards me. He glanced at Selene and back at me.

"I never knew you would go on with your deal," he noted, quite impressed.

I smirked.

"Lucifer never goes back on his words."

I turned to the crowd of demons who cheered endlessly.

"Silence!"

The hall became still.

"You all know that I have brought home my long-awaited mate. Soon, she will be crowned as my companion, my queen. No demon, or beast under me will treat her badly." I said, I walked out of the hall and towards my room.

I glanced at her once again, this time, I noticed an expression on her face.

I walked into my well-adorned room, spacious enough to contain a hundred demons. Everything, including my bed, was made of pure gold. I had everything to my taste, nothing except the best for a god like me, a god with all powers.

Gently, I placed her on my bed. She winced but kept her eyes shut.

There was something about her that attracted me.

She proved herself to be stubborn, a trait I admire.

Her scent overwhelmed my nose and my lips curved into a smirk, my eyes filled with great delight.

"I see no reason you had to bring her here."

I turned around to find Venia, a close acquaintance for more than a thousand years.

"She is perfect, exactly what I needed."

She rolled her eyes, it was obvious that Venia had always wanted me, but I had never seen her in any other way than as a good friend.

"She is a werewolf, Devon, an animal. What can she offer you?" Viena's sharp green eyes pierced at me.

"Something you would not understand."

"She is a beast. There is nothing she can give to you that a noble demon can't! You are better off with someone of your standard, not this." There was a strong sense of disgust in her voice.

I turned to her, my lips stretched in a smirk.

"Is that jealousy?"

She suddenly looked shocked.

"Jealousy?"

"Yes, Jealousy. I smell jealousy right out of you, Viena."

She scoffed.

"You don't know what you're thinking you know."

I laughed and turned my gaze at Selene.

"Wait and see. I will prove to you that she is exactly what I and my kingdom need."

Viena walked towards me, she placed a hand on my shoulder, and her black dress flowed graciously.

"You are Devon, god of the underworld, powers over mortals. You have everything any mortal, beast, or demon will need, so tell me, why do you need her? She isn't worth your taste."

A groan interrupted us.

I looked to find Selene slowly opening her eyes. She groaned again, this time, slowly rubbing her forehead as she slowly sat up.

"Where am I?" She muttered, still staring at her dress. Slowly, she raised her head, and at the sight of me, her eyes widened in realization.

"You?" She growls, her fierce eyes not leaving me.

"Where am I? Where did you take me to?" She quickly got up from the bed, her eyes scanned around.

"You are at my abode, my beloved" I smiled, my arms stretched in a warm embrace, but she shoved me away.

"Get your hands off me!"

"Watch your words!" Veina snapped, "You don't speak to Lucifer in such a tone."

"I don't care!" She yelled. "I don't fucking care! I am an Alpha, my parents, and subjects need me. I need to go back to my pack!"

Although I felt anger rising in me, I couldn't help but admire her spirit. No mortal has spoken to me with such viciousness.

"Don't test me, Selene. You are here to stay, and there is nothing anyone can do about it!" I warned, and I saw fear appear in her gaze.

"You don't scare me," she muttered.

At once, I was taken aback by her words.

"You don't scare me, and I order you at once to take me home!"

I couldn't take it anymore, her utterance was so bold, so bold that it disgusted me.

My eyes shone with anger. I grabbed her by her face, and a shriek of pain emitted forth.

Her eyes were gray but helpless. She looked frightened as I stared deeply into her.

"Do not take my meekness for weakness, don't think I won't kill you right now if you say something stupid. I don't care if you have a pack to govern, your father sold you to me, and if you can't pull yourself together, you will regret ever meeting me." I pushed her to the ground.

I could feel a rush of anger through my veins. Never will I accept such an insult, not even from a mortal beast I call my mate.

I turned around to leave.

"I will never be yours, mark my words." I heard her say behind me.

Enraged, I tightened my fist.

"I guess you want it the hard way, you are going to regret this!"

"Guards!"

At once, six hefty demons walked into my room.

"Seize her and lock her up in one of the guests' rooms, no one, I repeat, no one should ever unlock the door."

"No!"

"No!" I heard her scream as one of the guards held her.

She roared like the beast she was, her teeth clenched as the wolf in her made its escape.

Her eyes suddenly became red, her breathing loud as she transformed into the most beautiful werewolf I have ever seen.

She howled and ran towards one of the guards, ready to attack, but he was quick to knock her off.

"Take her away. I have a beast to tame."

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
