A Magical Love That Almost Turned Disasterous

The queen sat in her room crying. It was heard a couple doors down where the king and a servant were having a meeting about what they were going to do about the war. When they heard the cries they immediately got up and ran to the room. The king was the first to enter asking his wife what the matter was. She explained to her love that she had almost killed him because if she had not been able to keep control of the spell that she had used on him it could have had disasterous effects on him.

The king sat down next to his love, dismissing the servant. The servant took a bow and then left the room. He then wrapped his arms around his love realizing that he needed to comfort her. He told her to tell him everything. She told him about the nurses being very angry with him because of them seeing the random turn in health and when they found out what she had done.

This angered the king. He assured his love that if they continued to harass her that they would be beheaded. But that before that was considered there would be a meeting with them and the high council. He pressed the button that called the servants into the room when they needed them. The servants were always very loyal to them and came running when they heard the buzzer go off in the servants quarters.

Within a matter of a minute a couple of servants were at the door of the bedroom of the king and queen. They bowed and asked what the matter was. The king explained the situation and asked the servants to send a message to the nurses station strictly for the two nurses that had been taking care of him and the queen and also to send a message to the high council requesting a meeting this evening.

The servants bowed and acknowledged the request. That evening the king and queen sat at their spots in the council room. The other council members filed in and sat at their spots. The king then looked at the chairman and gave him the thumbs up to call the meeting to order. The chairman turned back to the facing forward position and banged the gavel twice.

"This meeting will now come to order." He said in a deep raspy voice. He was a heavy-set man with silver hair. "This is the matter of the nurses versus the queen."

o "Read the charges chairman." Said a young woman to the right of the chairman.

"It looks like there are two counts of harassment against them for harassing the queen for something she did out of nervousness." Said the chairman. "We will now allow the suspected to speak."

The heavy-set nurse came forward. "First of all, I have no clue why we are even here today! This is just outrageous!!"

"SILENCE" Yelled the chairman

"If you are not going to say your piece then we will just carry onto potential punishments for your crime." Said the chairman

"Fine." Said the nurse in a low, angry tone. "We came in to check on his injuries after he was hurt in the war. And found that he was perfectly fine. We found the queen next to him. We became a little suspicious as she was the only other one in the room with him other than us. When we questioned her she admitted that she may have used magic to heal him because she didn't want to lose him yet."

"So what? Snapped the chairman. Magic is not forbidden here. We have known that our wonderful queen has a little magic inside of her since the day that this wonderful kingdom was formed many years ago!"

"B-But, we don't believe in magic."

"I've heard enough. Guards take them to the dungeon. We will deal with them later." Said the queen.

"Yes your highness!" two guards said as they stepped forward to retrieve the fake nurses.

"Meeting adjourned!" Said the chairman as he banged the gavel.

Everyone filed out peacefully without a word.
