Drinks to the Past

"You look gloomy on such a happy occasion" Eric tapped his friend.

They had arrived at the end of her party, and Tatiana was avoiding Jack like he was invincible. He sighed, "Now she's ignoring me," he said.

"Because you haven't apologized, you knew damn well your Uncle was a bad person in her books but still defended him," Eric said.

He watched her give her speech and join her friends to toast.

"If you don't apologize before the new year, you're never getting another chance," Mark said.

"Now go there and ask her to dance," Eric said.

"The last time I asked her to dance ended up in a kiss that broke her relationship with Steve," said Jack.

"You're a coward now, don't let a past mistake stop you" Eric pushed him up.

"You need to grab this chance before it's too late" Mark pushed him away from his seat

After listening to his friends, he walked to whet Alex and Patrica were standing with Tatiana.

"Tati may I speak to you," he asked.

Patrica scoffed, "Finally decided to open your mouth"

"I hope it's an apology "Alex added.

Tatiana was gazing at him from behind her friends with a glass in her hand.

"Will you let me talk to her or not, why do you two go to your boyfriend and fiancee?" he said.

"So trying to get us away so you can insult her again "Patrica smoked.

"That's not happening, we are fed up with your nonsense" Alex yelled

Jack turned to eye his two friends and when they looked at him, he pointed at the two women at his side, mouthing a help.

They nodded got up and walked up to him, and Mark held Alex's hand, "Love you know drinking isn't good for you, let go and have some air" he said.

Eric moved to Patrica who moved back, but he held her arm, "Babe, why don't you join me for a dance" he said dragging her to the centre.

Jack sighed and turned but frowned cause Tatiana was already gone.

"Hi, Tatiana" she heard her name being called she stopped. She had planned to go hide in her room since they were in a hotel and she had booked one for herself.

"Thought you were not coming" she smiled recognizing who it was.

"Dad told me to come since he wouldn't Rina smiled.

"Okay enjoy and excuse me "she turned to leave but Rina held her arm. Tatiana looked down at her hand and Rina slowly pulled back," something wrong? ".

"I wanted you to join me and my friends for drinks. I feel that it's time we put the past behind us and start anew with the upcoming new year "

"I would love to but I have to attend to something "she replied.

"Please, okay just one drink then I can let you go. I want to show you how regretful I am " she said.

"Them send me an email with your apology that's okay too "Tatiana moved but Rina persisted.

"You almost like a big sister to me and I gave up Jack so there is nothing to make us enemies "

Tatiana sighed," Okay one drink and I leave "

Rina smiled and pulled her to where she and her friends were sitting.

They all looked excited to see her since she was a famous figure.
