All lies

Something broke in me as I heard my mother say "Please take good care of her." as her footsteps left the room and the door shut. Then everything changed. For the next 3 years I heard animals, felt the sun on my skin, and I could feel lots of uncomfortable tubes up my nose. All I could do was think and sleep. It was so boring, and sad.

I thought of my mother every day and tried to cry. Why did this happen to me? Then came the day I woke up I was so happy I cried! Then I was determined to get out of here!
