Unwanted

My life has been a living hell ever since I got engaged to Llewellyn, a man of the great Gamer household. He was a man from the aristocratic family.

All he ever wanted was a meek and quiet wife, the one who won't reject his orders, the one who takes him as her master. Never, to set foot out from the mansion against his will, and the worst thing of all these, his parents were in support of this.

They treated me as trash, like a toy that will be thrown to the dust when done with. I tried begging my parents to stop the marriage but unfortunately they mysteriously disappeared leaving only a letter in the house as a way of ' consolement'.

And that was the beginning of my life with the devil…

He was a coldhearted man with no regard to his subjects, he treated everyone like a tool and only those that survived lived to tell the tale.

"Astrid, isn't it time for you to greet his highness? Why are you still on the bed?" A crisp voice jolted me out from my thoughts and I opened my eyes staring at the white ceiling. I was mentally exhausted from the stress that I have passed through but what can I do? I need to be a dutiful wife rather than a scorn for others to gossip about.

"Good morning Lady Galleyn, I was about to get up before you came, '' I said as I walked out from the bed weakly to the bathroom.

"Hump!" She humped at me not believing my words one bit. Lady Galleyn is my personal ' maid' and my closest friend to be at that. She was the only one closer to me in the huge mansion, although she seemed mean and harsh all the time, that's her unique character for she was a friendly woman.

"You have 1 hour 24 minutes to prepare miss Astrid and his highness does not accept lateness as a meal" Lady Galleyn said walking towards the maids who were arranging the beautiful gowns, trying to pick one for the miss to wear.

"Would you prefer almond, blue or red? Because it's Monday and you know his highness loves these colours. Do you want it to be sleeveless or ?.." Lady Galleyn added as she picked a beautiful almond dress.

"Any of the dresses you think is best, is okay." I answered meekly.

"Then I am going for this one. I will call the maids to come over for the dressings, Cha Cha let's go." She clapped her hands and walked out from the room followed by the maids in the room.

'Why?'

I kept on asking myself that question but I failed to have an answer for it. Why am I treated like this?

His highness always loves it that I wear some dress code every day of the week and every month. I never for once had peace in this house.

All I thought of was to run away from here…

..

..

The sound of heels clankled along the golden tiled floor of the long hallway as I dressed in a gorgeous almond dress with red stripes on it. My long long golden hair cascaded at my back, almond eyes stared ahead with no light in them. I glanced at my pale hands that held the dress as I walked elegantly along the hallway.

I smiled meekly as I stared ahead.

"At the other side of the door lay my problems," I took a deep breath and pushed the huge door open.

A golden chandelier hung inside the huge hall, with a long dinner table in the middle with rows of chairs at its side and on one of these chairs sat a man with black hair with a cup in his hand. Although his head was lowered I can still notice his beauty from his way of movement.

Lord Llewellyn Gamer the first son of the Gamer family, heir to the household and a devil of a husband, 36 years old and married.

I walked towards him and took a seat opposite to him but he didn't budge when I took a seat and I wasn't surprised about it.

"Good morning, my Lord" I greeted him as I controlled the emotions running wild in my heart.

Silence!

"Astra!" He called instead of answering me after keeping quiet for a while.

"Yes my Lord?" A slim lady ran towards him in a hurry with a long black wipe on her hand.

"When was the last time you took her?" His cold voice resounded In the room as I watched him sip the content in the cup.

"Her? I mean my Lord, who are we referring to?" Lady Astra asked confusedly. She was responsible for the elegant ' must be' in the house and she was very strict and distant.

We never get along…

Crash!

I raised my head in shock as I saw a broken cup on the floor. ' Isn't that the cup he was using?' I turned towards Astra and I saw her face was bleeding but she didn't dare to touch it as she quietly stood there.

Llewellyn took a fork and ate his meal quietly pretending like something ever happened.

"I understand my Lord." Astra replied and bowed toward him and left the place.

I stood there in shock not understanding what was going on. What did she understand after the cup hit her face? Did she lose her memory before? Or what?

I thought as the maids served my meal and I ate quietly. This is not something new but I can't get used to his cold character.

I detested him so much…

I hate him more than anything in the world…

Ever since we got married I can count how many times he has talked to me…

We never talk!

We never communicate!

..

"I'll be taking my leave, my Lord" I said as I stood up ready to leave.

He stood up and walked out from the hall without sparing me a glance. I sigh and walk out from the hall heading to the garden where my mind is always at ease.

In the entire house, the most favorite place I have is the garden. It's quiet, peaceful and a good place to calm myself from the troubles happening around.

I walked towards the bunch of flowers and squatted.

"The roses are my favourite, to me they represent my bleeding heart" I smiled as I picked a flower examining it and lost in thought.

"Lady Astrid, your training will begin at 3pm and lady Astra is waiting" A maid walked towards me with her head lowered. She wore a long blue gown with a white apron, she had silver hair which reminded me of Cinderella.

I glanced at her and I noticed her hands were trembling.

"Do I have a meeting with his highness today?" I asked.

"Yes, my Lady," She nodded.

"I'll be on my way" I said as I left the flower and stared at the blazing sun.

'I don't feel good about this…I feel unease today'

'Sigh, I've always felt unease so this is nothing new'

'Just hold it on for a while…'

'Although I don't believe in miracles but I hope for a change…I pray to get out from this nightmare'

I turned and headed towards the mansion, to get ready for the so-called training.
