Triple Attribute

All of the people present in the hall stood up and their eyes were bulging out of their eye sockets. Nobody could believe what they were seeing at the moment. They all held their breath as if their breathing might cause some trouble.

"TRIPLE ATTRIBUTE?!!" The wrinkled old man who berated Zion and the group of kids along him exclaimed. He looked starstrucked.

Even the king and the crown prince looked flabbergasted. They both couldn't believe what they were seeing right now. 'It's..actually the legendary triple attribute.' Although on the outside the king looked calm and collected, turmoil was brewing in his mind. His grandson who he didn't give much thought to had a triple attribute?

The reaction of the people present in the throne hall was given as in the entire history of gaia, only a few people had triple attributes and they were all the descendents of the hero who brought glory to humanity. Hell, even most of the well accomplished descendants of the hero only had dual attributes. Only the hero himself and few of his descendents were known to have triple attributes.

Although everybody present in the room was surprised, they all still kept quiet and collected themselves. They were not inexperienced fools but rather people who have experienced countless things.

Before long, after the liquid divided itself into three parts, one part of the liquid transformed into thunder, without breaching another part. At the same time the next part transformed into soil and minerals and the last one transformed into water. They all filled the crystal to the brim, except thunder.

"He has peak affinity in all of them too except thunder! Even if he has only earth grade talent, or even peak mortal grade for that matter. He will have the potential to stand next to our crown prince as one of the greatest geniuses of our kingdom!"

"Doesn't the crown prince also have heavenly grade talent and peak affinity for thunder?"

"It isn't surprising that the son of a phoenix also turn out to be a phoenix"

The woman conducting the test was also baffled but she too collected herself soon after. "Okay now let's test your talent" she said.

She then brought out a small cricket ball sized mana crystal that was overflowing with mana. She instructed Zion to touch the crystal and absorb as much mana as possible.

As Zion was not really interested getting into political drama and didn't want to stand out too much as it might disrupt his peace, the more he thought about it, the more he felt stupid.

He was the son of the crown prince for god's sake. It didn't matter what he chose to do, as at the end of the day, he will get involved in the political drama. He was also the son the greatest prodigy Nordicia has ever seen, so what did he have to fear?

So without any hesitation he absorbed as much mana as he could from the crystal. The crystal had an abundant amount of mana. As Zion absorb the mana at an astonishing rate like a black hole, the room fell into pin drop silence. Nobody could utter a single sentence.

"Don't..don't tell me he has a heaven grade talent." The king muttered. HIs eyes were twinkling and he felt his heartbeat rise. He simply couldn't believe it. Having a triple attribute and a heaven grade talent was inconceivable and unprecedented.

Everyone's eyes were fixated upon Zion. Some looked envious while some looked excited. "He..Heaven grade talent!" the woman conducting the test exclaimed.

After her confirmation, everyone felt like they could finally breathe. In an inconspicuous corner, a man covered by a dark aura was silently observing everything unfold and nobody seemed to notice him, not even Zion.

"Heavens have blessed our kingdom with yet another heaven grade!", an old person sitting on one of the chairs cried out,"The rise of our kingdom is predestined!!!"

"I agree with Marquess, our kingdom's inexorable rise is coming!!"

"All hail king Aldrich, All hail the Celeste royal family" Everyone shouted simultaneously as if they had rehearsed it previously,

"Haha..Good good, my grandson has made me proud." Aldrich said with a grin that looked gentle yet creepy at the same time,"The Celeste family will be holding a banquet in a few days to celebrate the birth of our proud son of heaven"

His voice was chilly and condescending, as he reinforced a state of peace and quiet in the room. "Everyone may take their leave, except for Zion; we will be continuing this aptitude testing program tomorrow"

Soon, no one but Zion and Aldrich were left in the throne hall. They both stared at each other without talking for a few minutes.

"You are quite a brave one son" The king chuckled as his face finally relaxed. Although Zion had a stoic face on the outside, only he knew how nervous and scared he was. Even though he was a reincarnator who was mentally alot older than the body of his, the intimidating aura of the king of a mid sized kingdom was still too much for him to bear. His increased intelligence and resilience helped him alot in staying collected, otherwise he would have already pissed his pants.

"You are now 5 years old, I assume"

'What do you mean you assume, you old faggot, how come you have to assume your own grandson's age' Zion silently cursed him.

"Yes, your majesty, I just turned 5 a few days ago."

"You don't have to be so formal. I am your grandfather before I am a king"

'This old man really knows how to butter his talk, damn' Zion thought. If he was actually a 5 year old kid, he might have fallen for his trap. He didn't give two shits about him in his whole 5 years of life in this world and now suddenly when it was revealed that he had immense talent, he suddenly became his lovely grandfather.

'How convenient.'

"Yes, grandpa." Zion somehow mustered up a smile and giggled cutely. Of course it was all an act to showcase that he liked his supposed grandad.

Both of them were just as shrewd; no wonder they are related.
