On the Asgard Rainbow Bridge, a gust of wind announced the arrival of two figures. The crowd watched in shock as Thor swallowed hard, gazing at Saitama, who was being carried by Xu Mo.
"Give him the hammer," Xu Mo instructed, handing Mjolnir to Thor. After Thor caught it, he prepared to leave.
"Wait," Odin commanded, turning to Thor. "Thor, are you awake now? If so, come over and show the world your repentance."
Odin's intent was clear: Thor needed to apologize publicly, or he wouldn't be accepted back as Thor. Odin, facing the end of his life, wanted to ensure that Asgardians had a good future, possibly aligning with Midgard.
Thor hesitated under Odin's piercing gaze but ultimately approached Xu Mo and the others, offering an apology.
Xu Mo, observing the scene, noted, "Odin's quite the strategist. This gesture might just mean that Thor will have to show respect to Earth in the future."
Despite Xu Mo's thoughts, this was a minor issue. Saitama's love for fighting remained undiminished, and Thor's arrogance had played a part in the devastation.
Odin's eyes gleamed as he extended an invitation. "I sincerely invite you all to visit Asgard next time. There are many wonders to see."
Odin hoped that beyond this gesture, they might form an alliance. The conversation was awkward, especially given the recent events, but he hoped that future dialogues would be more favorable.
"Alright," Xu Mo agreed, his gaze revealing his deep thoughts. With a wave of his hand, a pink door appeared, surprising the onlookers.
With a soft "crunch" of the door's handle, Xu Mo and Jieluosi, carrying Saitama, walked through, and the door closed behind them.
As the space returned to normal, Heimdall's excitement showed. "That was spatial teleportation. It's similar to the star gates of the Shia Empire but even more efficient."
Odin turned to Jane and Coulson, noticing their tense expressions.
Jane: "Looks like Thor's father isn't thrilled about our relationship."
Coulson: "And here I am, wondering what to do next."
On Earth, Suburbs of Manhattan
Xu Mo, Kaneki Ken, and Saitama returned to Villa No. 2. Kaneki Ken noticed Saitama still unconscious on the sofa.
"He's been out for a long time," Kaneki Ken remarked, puzzled by Saitama's prolonged sleep.
In the living room, Xu Mo was watching TV. The broadcast showed Congress in session.
"I declare that the proposal for the mutant registration bill will not pass due to overwhelming opposition," declared the Speaker, slamming a gavel.
A week prior, following the exposure of mutant experiments, America had begun to distance itself. The unethical nature of these experiments was condemned globally.
The military's Ministry of National Defense faced significant backlash, and the President's approval ratings plummeted. Re-election seemed improbable.
Meanwhile, many Congress members advocated for mutant rights, gaining popularity. Charles Xavier met with these members, and the X-Men, now known as the Hero Academy, became active in heroic endeavors.
The public, seeing mutants in a positive light, began to accept them more. The Hero Academy, formerly Xavier's Institute, now included both general and hero subjects. Charles was concerned about the lack of students in the General Division.
"Dudu."
Charles called Xu Mo as he was about to start the lottery on the rooftop. "I need your help."
"Help with what?" Xu Mo asked.
"I want to use Saitama's name to attract more young mutants to the academy. With too few mutants joining, we need to boost our numbers."
Xu Mo sighed. "Saitama isn't available right now. Instead, I suggest someone else."
"Who?" Charles inquired.
"The Symbol of Peace," Xu Mo replied, hinting at the potential of using another prominent figure to attract attention.
