Chapter 157: Consume him whole

Perseus POV

The knight then went on say things about the others as well and their insecurities, and based on their expressions, everything was spot on, no one is denying what's he's saying nor is anybody planning to.

I kinda hope he'll slip up and talk about his identity. But as he talked, I don't know what, he took control of the knight's body and used the power of the red jade to erase the barrier that contained him. This man is either the creator or the person with the green jade colored eyes.

Either way, the red jade is scary, let's see Rex recreate this and see how much power does it truly possess. It seems like the ability to nullify magic is one of them,

"All right, shut up, it's been 2 minutes of you constantly talking about me and my sister's mommy and daddy issues, let's get on with it. We got a chapter to finish and based on where you're going, it might be several chapters before all this finish."

"Alright, good bye all of you, enjoy my little gift and try to prepare what's to come." the voice is now gone as the knight now regained its robotic movements and started blasting shots at us with different attributes of magic withing each blast.

Not gonna lie to you, the guy was more cooperative than I thought, I was expecting just a bit more trash talking.

His ways of attacks are similar to that of Alice, the different is that she prefers sniper rifles and shotguns. Max just created barriers to surround us and block us from the attacks.

"Are those jade based on the original, shouldn't they be super reactive to gods? How are your magic withstanding its attack that's being supported by its power. Even though you're not a true one, it should have some effects, right?"

"How'd you know that?" Max asked

"I'm a demigod bro, I know some gods. They tell me things."

"That's because the red one don't give the same effects clearly, I can sense it." he answered

"So did you completed the tower?" I answered curiously

"Why would I tell you?" he replied as he stopped every attacks from coming close.

"Then at least tell me something as compensation, the glitch in the tower system and your incompetence allowed that guy to appear after some people sacrificed themselves bypassing the anti death system you set up." I reasoned

"Fair, if it helps, I was a demigod too, I'm a mix of elves with a bit of gnome in my blood and my mother was a deity of the gnome race." he answered "I'm immune to this even if I'm no an admin, that's all I can tell you."

The knight realized that no attacks are working, so he was slowly charging up mana.

"Say, can you remove the anti killing rule for that guy so I can kill him, he's technically now a raider, right?"

"Already did." Max answered "You want to do this or do you want me to?"

"I'd rather do it myself, that guy was taunting you and came here, he probably wanted you to end your previous prime self for something, so me and my sister destroying your prime self should stop whatever he's planning, so might as well."

"Smart boy." the man with the jade colored eyes commented "If that fraud came close, the jade soldier would follow his command which was to ignore damages and do everything in its power to eliminate one of the powerless rankers, that would have hurt since sou would be possibly fired for letting one of the gods' best source of entertainment die under your nose.

"Perseus Silver, 'The weaver of Calamity'." the man then laughed again "You hid your emotion well today, but I will break you like I did with Zeus, I will create the chaos this world needed, you and your sister shall be the ones who will be the ones who will trigger this world by its root...but you need to pass my trial, you need to get all the fragments before I do."

Perseus POV

I used the system and removed my limiter, luckily Max made sure my identity won't leak as my sister will use her magic to support me from afar while being under the protection of Max who is now setting up a barrier to also protect the outside of the colosseum from our attacks.

"How accurate is the power?"

"90%" Max answered

I need to use my full power, even with that much accuracy, he is a raider good enough to be chosen as an admin, I needed to hit him good, since he's not interfering and didn't put up as much of a fight when I suggested to fight his prime self, it means I have a good possibility.

"I hate to use this, but it's good for a guy who specializes in long range." I said as I got my fangs out.

I bit my the visible veins on my wrist right under my palm and left to huge hole which I let blood flowed onto the ground.

"Wait, Perseus-" Diana realized what spell I was going for "I thought you didn't have it under control."

"It's fine, Max is here, he'll handle it if it comes down to it."

After enough blood flowed out of my wrist, the ground and our surrounding started to turn red giving off an awful stench of blood that was very strong and the sound of screaming and howling is now heard.

Demonic spirits of all shapes and sizes started to erupt from the ground.

The knight started to shoot each and every spirit that were summoned, but more kept coming. One which resembled a top half of a human, pulled and crawled itself to the knight's leg and then open it's mouth super wide which showed several layers of sharp disgusting teeth and bit down on the knight's leg piecing through its armor slowly by biting down repeatedly.

Once it made its way to the flesh, it started to pull the flesh and sinews of the knight slowly and started to relish the taste as other demons attack the knight too and slowly overwhelming him and consumed him whole.
