Chapter 25: Class 1A

As the golden hues of dawn painted the sky, Yuki's eyes flickered open, brimming with anticipation. Today marked the beginning of his high school days at U.A.

Yuki wasted no time, he swiftly rose from his bed, a surge of anticipation coursing through his veins. After breakfast, he bid farewell to his family and stepped out of the house where Lady Nagant already awaited him.

With Lady Nagant at the wheel, the car glided smoothly through the city streets, bringing Yuki nearer to his destination with each passing second. His mind buzzed with a mix of excitement, anticipation, and a dash of nervous energy.

As the vehicle came to a halt, they had arrived at the hallowed grounds of U.A. High School. Lady Nagant turned to Yuki, her voice filled with warmth, "Have a nice first day, Young Master."

With confident strides, Yuki stepped out of the car, his eyes scanning the surroundings as he embarked on his way towards Class 1-A. The morning air crackled with excitement. With each step he took, a sense of familiarity washed over him as he spotted the faces of heroes he remembered from the anime.

Navigating through the corridors, Yuki found himself approaching class 1A. He paused for a moment, his gaze wandering across the bustling hallways. Among the flurry of activity, he noticed another figure making their way towards the same destination.

The two individuals reached the classroom entrance simultaneously. Yuki as he looked towards the newcomer, who wasted no time in extending a warm greeting.

"Hello, I'm Tenya Ida from Soumei Junior High School," the person introduced himself with an air of politeness and determination.

Yuki reciprocated the greeting with a polite nod. "I'm Yuki Takehara," he introduced himself, his tone laced with a touch of intrigue. "Are you also a student of class 1A?"

Although Yuki was well aware that Tenya's his classmate, due to having watched the anime and read the manga in his last life, he still questioned nonetheless.

Tenya Ida's face lit up with a genuine smile, reflecting his eagerness to connect with his fellow classmates. "Yes, indeed!" he responded, his voice brimming with enthusiasm.

As they stepped inside, Yuki's eyes scanned the room, searching for his designated seat. Taking note of his assigned spot, Seat No. 6, he made his way towards it. Tenya, Seat No. 4, settled into his own place nearby.

Shortly after Tenya's introduction to Yuki, their attention was drawn to the entrance once again, where Momo Yaoyorozu made her arrival. With a spark of excitement in his eyes, Tenya wasted no time in approaching her, eager to extend his warm greeting once more.

Yuki, on the other hand, focused his attention on arranging his desk, ensuring everything was in perfect order.

As Momo found her way to her assigned seat, she noticed Yuki and gracefully approached him, her respectful demeanor evident in her words. "Hello, Takehara-san. Long time no see," she greeted him, her tone laced with formality. Despite their numerous encounters at some gatherings and Yuki's insistence on being addressed by his first name, Momo still refused.

Yuki couldn't help but smile mischievously as Momo approached him. "Hi, Momo-chan. Long time indeed," he said, his voice carrying a playful tone. Unlike Momo, who maintained a more formal address, Yuki had developed a habit of calling women his age by their first name with 'chan' attached to it.

Momo's expression shifted, a hint of exasperation tugging at the corners of her lips. "You're up to no good, as always, stop calling me chan," she chided, her tone a mixture of annoyance and amusement. She had repeatedly urged Yuki to abandon the habit of calling her 'chan', but he persisted, seemingly unfazed by her pleas.

Over time, she had grown somewhat accustomed to his way of addressing her, and her reminders had become more habitual than genuinely expecting change.

Yuki chuckled at Momo's response, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Then stop being so cute," he playfully called out to her retreating figure.

Momo's cheeks flushed faintly, a subtle blush betraying the effect Yuki's words had on her. She quickly composed herself and made her way to her assigned seat, gracefully masking any signs of her momentary fluster. Deep down, she couldn't deny the undeniable charm Yuki possessed. His striking looks and magnetic presence had certainly caught her attention, but she found herself yearning for more than just external qualities.

As she settled into her seat, Momo couldn't help but entertain fleeting thoughts. Perhaps if their personalities aligned a bit more seamlessly, she might have already fallen for him.

Tenya's curiosity piqued as he witnessed the familiar exchange between Yuki and Momo. Approaching Yuki, he posed the question that had been swirling in his mind. "You two know each other?"

Yuki nodded, a nostalgic smile gracing his lips. "Somewhat," he replied, his voice carrying a hint of fondness. "We met a few times when we were younger."

Satisfied with the response, Tenya turned his attention to the arrival of their other classmates. One by one, the students made their way into the classroom. Kyoka Jiro, Fumikage Tokoyami, Koji Koda, Denki Kaminari, Hanta Sero, Tsuyu Asui, and Mezo Shoji joined the growing assembly.

True to his nature, Tenya took it upon himself to personally introduce himself to each of their new classmates. His earnest greetings and warm smiles endeared him to his peers, leaving a lasting impression as they settled into their respective seats.

The atmosphere in the classroom shifted as the next arrivals made their entrance. Yuki's gaze fell upon Shoto Todoroki and Yuga Aoyama, two individuals he had known since his earlier years. Shoto, in particular, held a significant place in Yuki's life, as he was the only friend Yuki had made since arriving in this world.

In the past, Shoto had sought solace by seeking refuge at Yuki's side. Despite Shoto's typically aloof and distant demeanor towards others, he had always made an exception for Yuki. Their bond had brought about a positive change in Shoto's life, as his father's abusive behavior had ceased ever since their friendship blossomed.

Though the exact reason behind this transformation remained a mystery to Shoto, he couldn't help but suspect that Yuki held some sort of influence over his father.

Yuga Aoyama, on the other hand, was a familiar face to Yuki due to various encounters between their parents. While their interactions had been limited to casual conversations and brief acquaintanceship.

As Shoto and Yuga entered the classroom, Yuki's face lit up with a warm smile. He wasted no time in greeting them, his voice filled with genuine excitement. "Hey, Shoto! Hey, Aoyama! How have you been?"

Aoyama returned the greeting with his signature flair, acknowledging Yuki's presence before making his way to his seat. Meanwhile, Shoto approached Yuki, the familiarity between them evident in their interaction.

A playful glint danced in Yuki's eyes as he brought up a topic that had been on his mind. "Looks like I win that bet we made about ending up in the same class," he teased, a hint of triumph lacing his voice.

Shoto's response was quick, accompanied by a small smirk. "I'm sure you cheated and used your family's influence," he retorted.

Yuki couldn't help but smirk at Shoto's accusation. Shoto was only partially correct in his assumption. Yes, Yuki had utilized his family's influence to secure a place in Class 1-A. It would have been awkward for him, with his vast knowledge of the anime, to end up in a different class. However, Yuki did not use his influence to affect Soto's class assignment, due to him already knowing from the anime that he will enter this class anyway.

"A defeat is a defeat, are you a man and honor the bet we made?" Yuki's voice carried a playful challenge, laced with genuine curiosity. Their bet had been a simple one: Shoto would embrace his fire side and no longer solely rely on his ice abilities.

Shoto's response was a solemn nod, his gaze meeting Yuki's determined eyes. He had been resistant to the idea, clinging to his deep-rooted aversion towards his fire quirk. However, over the years, Yuki's unwavering influence had slowly chipped away at his reluctance, urging him to confront his own fears and insecurities. Yuki's constant preaching about embracing one's power had ignited a flicker of acceptance within Shoto's heart.

The culmination of this was this bet, a small trick Yuki used to give Shoto the final push. Deep down, Shoto had never expected to emerge victorious in the first place. Over the last few days Shoto already mentally prepared himself to embrace his fire side.

During the exchange between Yuki and Shoto, the classroom gradually filled with their classmates, their presence lending an air of anticipation to the room. As the seventeenth student entered, the atmosphere shifted dramatically with the arrival of Katsuki Bakugo. His fiery temper was on full display as he immediately directed his intense gaze towards Yuki, a mixture of anger and disdain burning in his eyes. Without wasting a moment, Bakugo made his way towards Yuki, completely disregarding Tenya's attempt at a friendly greeting and instead shouting. "Out of my way".

As he stood next to Yuki, Bakugo wasted no time unleashing a furious outburst. "What trick did you bastard use during the examination?" Bakugo's voice reverberated through the room, his accusatory tone dripping with hostility. The intensity of his question hung in the air, demanding an immediate response.

Yuki, however, remained unfazed by Bakugo's outburst. Instead of retaliating or engaging in a futile argument, he chose to ignore the provocation. This deliberate act of silence only served to fuel Bakugo's anger, stoking the flames of his anger even higher.

"You shitty extra!" Bakugo's voice grew louder, laced with contempt. "Not even answering me! You think you're better than me!"

The tension in the room thickened as their confrontation escalated. Whispers circulated among the other students, their eyes darting back and forth between Yuki and Bakugo, sensing the explosive clash of two formidable personalities.

In the face of Bakugo's escalating aggression, Yuki remained calm, his voice carrying an air of authority. "Silence," he uttered, employing a small spell that momentarily rendered Bakugo mute. This however only served to amplify Bakugo's seething rage, manifesting in an attempt to resort to physical violence.

Before Bakugo could land a punch, however, Yuki effortlessly manipulated the situation, using his powers to send Bakugo hurtling through an open window. As Bakugo landed with a splash in a pool of water below, Yuki's words lingered in the air like a warning. "Next time, you won't just fly out of the window."

Minutes later, a dripping wet Bakugo reentered the classroom, his determination undeterred, as he once again directed his aggression toward Yuki, his mind consumed by a single-minded desire for retaliation. Ignoring the lessons of his recent defeat, he once again wanted to attack him.

Meanwhile, in another corner of the classroom, Izuku and Ochaco, the eighteenth and nineteenth to arrive, engaged in a conversation, their words mirroring the interactions witnessed in the anime.

In a stroke of unexpected fortune, Tenya intervened just in time, stepping forward to confront Bakugo and preventing him from launching another assault on Yuki. It seemed luck was on Bakugo's side, for had Yuki would have teleported Bakugo to a rather unwelcome vacation in the heart of the Sahara otherwise.

"How undignified!" Tenya's voice boomed with righteous indignation, his eyes blazing with disapproval. "Attacking another student because of his hard work! What nerve! And you claim to aspire to be a hero?"

While the students were engrossed in their conversation, the arrival of their homeroom teacher, Aizawa, brought an abrupt end to their exchange. Aizawa, wrapped snugly in a yellow sleeping bag, peered into the classroom through the door, his disheveled appearance a stark contrast to the disciplined atmosphere he sought to enforce.

"If you're gonna be hunting for buddies, do it elsewhere. This is the Department of Heroics!" Aizawa's voice addressed Izuku and Ochaco from his peculiar vantage point on the ground.

With a fluid motion, Aizawa emerged from his cozy cocoon, standing tall as he stepped into the classroom. His sharp gaze swept across the students, assessing their reaction time with a critical eye. "Hmm, it took you lot 8 seconds to quiet down," he commented dryly. "Life is short, kids. You all lack common sense."

As he stepped out of the last remnants of his sleeping bag, revealing his full appearance, Aizawa introduced himself in his usual curt manner. "I'm your homeroom teacher, Aizawa Shouta. Pleasure meeting you." He then reached into his sleeping bag and retrieved a set of sports attire. "Wear these immediately and then shove off to the P.E. grounds."
