91: Gentle or Rough?

"So, where do we start?" Asked an over-excited Zagreus as he looked at Klein, his new teacher that would teach him about Divine Energy. Zagreus was wearing his day-to-day attire, his burning feet were touching the stone floor as heating it a little as he stood there without moving. "We start from the very beginning, a very good place to start in your case would be knowing what special abilities you have, you already told me about Death Defied before but i need to see it with my own eyes," Klein explained to Zagreus what he needed to do in a simple word: "Die. That's what you need to do right now, die. I need to see your Divine Energy in work so I can see its flow and help you see and feel it as well."

Zagreus just nodded, dying was not an old experience for him and he knew he could die several times. "So, how am I going to die?" Klein raised his hand, soon his hand turned into a pointed blade without flaws. "I can stab your heart?" Klein asked, a little uncomfortable with the idea of killing the kid... No, with killing Zagreus, even though he knew he would come back. "Just be gentle, okay?" Zagreus stated, and while he couldn't see what was wrong with his sentence. Klein could. He smirked a little and held in a laugh before he moved his hand. "Huh? Nothing happened." Zagreus said while he looked at Klein, he was confused for a second before his vision changed as he saw Klein falling and turning upside down, he no longer could feel his body and just felt his head falling off his body.

Suddenly, red energy emanated from Zagreus's heart and blood began to spill from his neck where the head previously was, his Divine Energy acted, and together with blood, tendrils of red and slightly golden energy began to pull the head back to its place faster than Klein had cut it, and soon Zagreus's head was back and he coughed. "Ouch... That hurts." Zagreus said as he felt his neck was a little stiff, he cracked his neck a little before looking at Klein who looked at him surprised. "What?" Zagreus asked, but Klein did not answer as he was analyzing the information he got... Zagreus's Divine Energy had mixed completely with his blood, making his Blood part of his Divine Energy, so it should have turned into Ichor, the golden blood of the gods, but ot was still red much like Klein's blood... Also, when Klein saw Zagreus being reborn, there was more than one Divinity acting, at least 4 or 5.

Klein touched his chin in a thoughtful expression and said to Zagreus, who was admiring his thoughtful expression: "I know what we can do to get you access to your Divine Energy. There are two methods, the slow and gently and the fast and rough, choose one because both cannot be done at the same time." Zagreus thought for a second, although the gentle option sounded good, he wanted to go rough and fast because it sounded more like something he would do and was more his style. "Fast!" Zagreus nodded as he chose, Klein smiled and said: "Okay then..." Zagreus felt a sudden chill run down his spine as Klein smiled at him, although attractive most of the time, Klein looked like a beast, a predator, in front of him ready to pounce and murder him.

"Lesson one!" Klein soon entered his teacher mode, his voice was commanding and low, he emanated this 'Dominant' aura that Zagreus found that somewhat sexy, his eyes locked in Klein's now golden-blue eyes as he said: "Never lower your guard." A sudden burst of energy beside him made Zagreus jump and dodge Klein's attack, he lived in the Underworld and tried to escape it several times! Of course, his reflexes were good. Klein nodded when he saw that Zagreus dodged the first attack he made, this was a method Klein used a lot with his students: Awareness. He will randomly attack his students with a burst of explosive energy beside them or near their body, to startle them or make them feel a stinging pain, like that he could make them dodge incoming attacks without knowing about them, dodging by pure instinct.

"Good..." Klein said, Zagreus was going to ask why he attacked him all of a sudden when Achilles's voice echoed through his head and he remembered a lesson he received from the hero: "Be always aware of your enemy and the battlefield, for you do not know when they are going to attack, and even if you do, don't be reckless." As soon as Zagreus remembered this, he got in a defensive stance ready to dodge any attack. "Oh?" Klein said as he looked at Zagreus: "Very well, let's start with a test, shall we? The longer you last, the better you are! Come, let's have some fun." Klein smiled as his hands moved and several spheres of energy formed around him, they were all small in size but dense in energy. All of them darted towards Zagreus at different intervals, giving him a hard time dodging every single sphere. They were all aimed to hurt him and not kill him, and the energy Klein was using was Electric, which would cause him pain but not kill him as Klein did not wish to kill Zagreus.

As Zagreus grew more and more tired, Klein continued to fire more and more projectiles, ready to push Zagreus beyond what normally would be his limit, Zagreus was panting without energy as Klein was still full of energy as he barely did anything to Zagreus, yet he could feel the pain in his whole body. Klein was being rough with him...
