Unexpected Power

"Holy... just how much stronger did you all become?"

Mina watched in wonder as everyone tore creature after creature down inside of the Smith's Dungeon, except for Chisana and Suriza. They had finally entered the fifth floor, granting them brief respite from the constant battles.

Melody and Mina had stayed back, knowing the strength they held would be enough for most of the enemies lying in the depths, but the newly evolved and enhanced beast girls were proving their own strength with much excitement.

Crowding around Mina, they were all desiring praise for their efforts. Mina found it cute, though she hid that fact.

First up, Inferna. Since she had been with Mina the longest, she patted her head and gave her hand a small squeeze.

Mina looked into her eyes, the amber growing smaller as her pupils expanded.

"Inferna, you've gotten faster... a lot faster, but don't forget that you learned magic. [Feralize] isn't your only combat based ability. But... you look stunning when you're dashing between enemies with little to no resistance."

Her ears flicked, but Inferna looked away.

"Thanks, I guess. Totally not happy you were watching."

Mina could see her tiny smile, as well as feel her tail flick towards her legs.

Next, Mina looked at Fubuki. She stood taller than Mina, but she was incredibly confused.

"Why am I wearing this? It's light and airy, but shouldn't I wear armor? This makes shouldering attacks hard."

Mina touched the fabric, realizing that it was durable and dense. With a flick of her hand, she punched Fubuki's shoulder.

"Yeah... totally not meant for defense. Fubuki, you look like a yuki-onna... but tougher and wolf like."

Mina wasn't kidding. The wolf girl wasn't buff, but her body was toned. Her pale skin glistened in the magic lights, while her foggy blue tail swished behind her. It was incredibly fluffy, matching the hair that reached down her back. Her wolf ears were directly facing Mina, almost like every word was law. Her outfit was similar to Mina's, though the sleeves were incredibly wide and flowed through the air.

'She's holding a pair of incredible, yet floppy shields. Her legs are bare, but she's got insane jumping force.'

Dominant Howl- Attracts hostility and stuns weaker enemies.

Frozen Gash- Claws gain icy dominance. Chance to freeze and bleed enemies.

True Ice Control, Creation, and Manipulation- Mastered

Deep Frozen Aegis- A powerful frozen shield of ice that can be erected around yourself of nearby allies. While inside, healing effects are increased and water is nullfied. Flames can be used to break down the Aegis faster, but MP will be chipped away first.

Deep Freeze Howl- A large cone effect that can freeze beings for as long as you exhale. Frozen beings take constant cold damage over time.

"So what's a Yuki-onna? It's definitely not food, but it's not something I know of."

Mina reached up, barely able to touch Fubuki's ears. Instead, she pulled some of her hair out of her face and gave her a smile.

"Powerful, and beautiful ice spirits. They're usually wearing stuff like this, but uh... less leg is shown."

Fubuki looked down.

"Are mine a problem? Oh great... if I were smaller, then maybe-"

Mina reached up again and tapped her nose.

"Nothing is wrong with your legs. They're strong and nice to stare at..."

She turned a little pink as she went to check on Asahi. The little bird was standing around Mina's height, excitedly hopping around.

"This body is lighter than I expected. Too bad I'm not an actual harpy."

She pouted a little, but Mina tapped her shoulder. Turning around, Asahi gave a big smile.

"Hey. I saw you take a pretty serious hit."

"Oh all good. Healed up to full!"

Mina was careful as she examined Asahi's body. It was thinner, basing itself on speed and magic, so she was quite weak to heavy physical attacks.

Mina slid her fingers down each arm, then between the feathers connected to both. Asahi turned a little red, but beyond that all she did was shiver a little.

"Hmm. Could've sworn it hit your arm, so I'm glad you could heal it so quickly."

Lightning Creation- Due to high electric values in your blood, you can arc electricity from your body. Mostly useful for striking a target at range.

Lightning Healing Lvl 6/20 - A variant magic useful for healing small wounds or damaged limbs. Cannot be used to resurrect.

Avian Cry- May stun weaker beings. Also causes many to distance themselves from you.

Intermediate Lightning Magic Lvl 1/30

Bolt Stream- Forward bolt of lightning movement, capable of shifting direction three times up to a total of 30 meters. Collisions will hurt.

Bolt Back- Able to dash backwards in a bolt of lightning. Tagging a friendly can allow near instant teleportation like speed. Only up to ten meters.

Body Shift- Transform into a Harpy variant for a short time. In this form, magic and speed are drastically increased.

Mina stretched, an actual physical body felt good during times like these. She let out a squeak, her eyes peeking around.

"Chisana and Suriza didn't get to come down this time. Their changes were pretty drastic, huh?"

Asahi nodded before shifting back into her avian form. She puffed out her wings a little.

"They wanted to come, but the three of us were seen as beasts. The two of them actually appear to be monsters now, especially Suriza."

"Hmm. Well we have the last floor! Once we clear it, we can go back to the girls. They've been asking to go hunting when we return."

Mina giggled, making Asahi beat her wings a little more.

"I'll help if I can. Maybe try something tougher so they can practice?"

Nodding, Mina began to head towards the next door.

'May as well check my own damage.'
