(A/N: After these few, the pace will be faster again…. Probably.)
Yun Xie sat on top of one of the Martial Hall's many high stone walls, looking down as Li Qi Ye beat all of them with a stick, his form flashing back and forth as Qi Ye's hand blurred, striking out at certain areas. Next to him, Li Shuangyan stood, watching over the procedure of sorts coldly.
"You get a stick, you get a stick, everyone gets a stick!" Cheerfully smiling, Li Qi Ye smashed a poor dude's head, the guy fell to the ground, passing out.
"Bloodline: Byakugan." Yun Xie whispered a little, and suddenly, his pupils dilated, eyes turning a milky white as veins protruded from the sides of his eyes.
Shuangyan stared at him for a second. Those eyes must contain some sort of secret…
As Yun Xie looked over the crowd, he watched as Li Qi Ye struck at disciple after disciple, who cried and screamed in pain. A few minutes ago, one dude, maybe his name was Zhang Yue had managed to withstand the beating for quite some time. Due to having some strong Dao heart or whatever crap Li Qi Ye would say, the dude stayed upright for a while before collapsing no doubt to trauma and Qi Ye's mere toxicity.
Byakugan truly was a unique experience, being able to see every blood vessel, organ, energy, and much more. Well, some stuff…. Yun Xie would rather not see actually… Sharingan was sometimes even worse...
"He seems to be hitting their weak points and such…" Yun Xie commented, looking up at Shuangyan for a second.
"! ! !" Shuangyan's eyes widened, as she looked on, her eyes flickering back and forth, inspecting the way Qi Ye struck the fodder. Through some xianxia genius bull, she could also somewhat see what Li Qi Ye was doing. Apparently being a "Genius" also came with a side of good eyesight….
Though one would usually write off as xianxia and wuxia mostly having more powerful abilities than manga and manhwa, this wasn't really the case. Byakugan could crush most sensory abilities in the Nine Worlds, and Breathing Styles were actually extremely profound sword arts, more so than most martial arts in this area. But then again, martial arts in this world were usually looked down on somewhat.
Combined with [Amplify], he could turn the weakest crap into some seriously busted stuff. Of course, he had already repeated this more times than he could count. But it would be funny using Thousand Years Of Death to completely annihilate a Dark Existence. But at the same time, Yun Xie felt that it might be a little….. Eh.
"Hell Supressing Physique it was…..?" Yun Xie muttered as veins pulsed in his eyes. He had thought Byakugan would feel sorta uncomfortable, but it was more like a weird pulsing sensation. Of course, Yun Xie had experienced it many times before, having nothing better to do, when he was younger, he would just go into the forest walking around, just experiencing the likes of Sharingan and Byakugan…
Suddenly, the veins resided back, as a young female disciple confronted Li Qi Ye, engaging in a short conversation. Li Qi Ye seemed satisfied by her explanation and proceeded to try beating her up again. The young girl used a movement technique to try to run and evade the blows but gave up after a moment, instead unsheathing her sword, trying to fight.
After a while, she was also beaten the crap out of, with Li Qi Ye proceeding to mercilessly beat the rest of them too…
Yun Xie reached into his pocket, tossing a pale white apple to Shuangyan before taking out a banana, which he hurled across the Martial Hall, which practically nailed the dazed Nan Huai Ren. The guy managed to catch it in the end though thankfully.
The two were already used to him handing them random food from time to time. They couldn't really complain, it was always strange, yet also delicious food.
Li Qi Ye smiled, a little relieved that these idiots managed to grasp the core of the lesson, as moans of pain spread throughout.
It took another three hours for the "lesson" to be complete, Yun Xie dropping to the floor, stretching his limbs a little. Shuangyan and Huai Ren followed after him, approaching Li Qi Ye, who was leisurely sitting on the chair above the piles upon piles of half-dead fodder.
Yun Xie tossed out an orange to Li Qi Ye, who quickly peeled it, chewing.
They stood there, eating some fruit for a while before Yun Xie spoke. Most of the beaten disciples had gotten up and were resting at the sides of the Hall.
"Ya know….. You're pretty good with that stick…" Yun Xie laughed heartily, producing yet another apple out of thin air…
"....." Li Qi Ye stood there, the wind blowing in his face as he looked out across the big Martial Hall. Behind, the tall Martial Hall main building stood, casting some shade over the courtyard.
"Can I give it a try?" Yun Xie suddenly asked, before continuing on. "I got quite a few spells and arts I wanna play around with, sometimes I feel like I won't ever use them..."
"Oh? Quite arrogant…." Li Qi Ye answered, shifting a little.
"I'll take that as a yes?" Yun Xie jumped to the ground, the remainder of the remaining disciples watching.
(WCM: Repetitive much?)
(A/N: Meh, I feel like it, and don't worry, the part after this should be a little more interesting….)
(WCM: You always say that….)
(A/N: Shut up. Well, I'd say it is pretty original and random but for me at least, it'll be good fun.)
(WCM: Ok. Whatever.)
(A/N: My MC lacks much ambition, as OP characters do, so it is a little more annoying to do interesting storylines. Well I can do them, but it might become somewhat lackluster.)
"They are sparring?"
"Senior A'Te?"
"Who do you think will win?"
Soon, as rumors spread through the chain of beaten disciples, a small crowd had congregated at the outskirts of the hall, watching as the two squared off.
Yun Xie clapped his hands together, flames flickering.
Li Shuangyan watched over from the chair looking down arrogantly. It was a weird scene, looking like those stories about two young men fighting it out for a maidens love, but in reality, it wasn't like that at all. The two weren't even paying attention to the Princess, obviously wanting to fight. Qi Ye, because he was sort of curious, and Yun Xie, wanting to test out some cool flashy moves…
(Spoiler: They aren't flashy.)
