Yun Xie walked around the courtyard, as Li Qi Ye sat down on a boulder thinking.
Yun Xie, as normal, went to bug Li Qi Ye when he had nothing to do. I mean, Yun Xie could theoretically bring his wrath down on some poor bandits but that would get boring quickly.
Completely clapping canon fodder was really fun but he wanted to beat up some more high-quality canon fodder. There were a few sects around, but Yun Xie was not that much of a jerk.
He also wanted to experience the "atmosphere" of the novel, and wait until the actual events happened. Besides a few…. Yun Xie had learned that secret realms and other treasures were a dime a dozen in the Mortal Emperor World, so he would go have some fun with that later…
"What are you doing here anyway?" Li Qi Ye turned his head to the wandering Yun Xie.
"What do you think? I'm bored." Yun Xie clarified, kicking a rock.
All for the sake of the atmosphere. It was all for the sake of the atmosphere.
"Oh, Senior, you are also here!" Nan Huai Ren bowed deeply, before motioning for Li Qi Ye to follow.
"Where you guys going?" Yun Xie followed behind the pair, as they made their way deeper into the sect, admiring the good view.
"Senior, we are heading to Heavenly Crow Peak, where most of the valuable treasures and manuals are located…." Nan Huai Ren stammered.
The trauma was still not gone. Nan Huai Ren would forever remember in his heart the torture these two demons had put him through….
The Heavenly Crow Peak, was from what Yun Xie could remember, created to honor the guy standing beside him. Probably created by Min Ren.
They walked up the long, long steps. Yun Xie was completely befuddled by how people managed to create these many steps.
Soon, the group reached the top. Heavenly Crow Peak was huge and majestic, radiating light in the late sunset.
A huge triangular building sat at the top of the peak, with a shrine in front of it.
In the shrine, was a man with great stature. He had a messy untrimmed beard and long rugged gray hair. His tattered brown robe had probably seen many years of wear and tear.
The old man breathed in and out, his eyes closed as if he was in a trance.
Chains held him in place, attached to the old man's neck, legs, and arms. Probably made from some profound steel or whatever they called it.
Nan Huai Ren whispered to Li Qi Ye. "That is the protector of the triangular building, no one knows who he is… Besides maybe the sect leader."
Li Qi Ye looked in curiosity, "Why is he there?"
Nan Huai Ren shook his head, as he also did not know why the guy was there. "Let's go in."
The two entered the pavilion, with Yun Xie staying behind.
Nan Huai Ren looked at him questioningly. "Wanna check something else out…." Yun Xie smiled, approaching the old man, who opened his eyes. The man was pretty powerful, it was as if his very gaze could tear through cosmos and it could probably shake the likes of Royal Nobles and Enlightened Beings but Yun Xie stayed as still as a rock.
Yun Xie sat down in front of the old man, extremely relaxed.
A few disciples whispered in shock as Yun Xie sat down.
"Even if he is really powerful, isn't that courting death?"
"Well… Don't some experts keep a youthful appearance even at an old age?"
"A' Re is so domineering!"
"No… It is obviously A'Ke Te!"
"You're an idiot! It was definetl-"
The situation from Nine Saint Demon Gate or whatever was repeating here….
"Wanna fight?" Yun Xie was a battle-crazed idiot at times. This was probably the strongest man Yun Xie had encountered throughout all of his meager travels. "I mean…. Sorry to interrupt you, but you look pretty strong so…."
The old man stared at Yun Xie for a few minutes. Before he started laughing. "Heh! Kid…. You really want to fight me?" The old man or Mu Shaohuang stretched his body a little, and after so many years, got out of the lotus position.
Yun Xie scratched his head sheepishly. "Umm….. Yes….? Please?"
Mu Shaohuang was speechless. He knew this kid was a tier above the current degenerated sects disciples, the fiery display from a few days ago convinced him. But this kid was also a complete enigma. Mu Shaohuang was sure this guy was a complete mortal, yet possessed quite the strength. Probably able to fight a Named Hero, which was a huge accomplishment, at the tender age of 16.
(A/N: I changed his age I think?)
A genius for sure. Usually, Mu Shaohuang would write this off as another idiot, but it might be a little fun. After all, even with his strength at the Virtuos Paragon level, sometimes, life was sort of dull…..
(A/N: I had nothing better to do…. So….)
(WCM: Seriously?)
(A/N: Is that all you can say? Well, I say seriously a lot too but….)
(WCM: I came up with the idea for the fanfiction…. And even though my scuffed character could probably beat one of those Dark Existences to death easily, I was not planning on having Yun Xie fight a Virtuous Paragon in like the 14th chapter….)
(A/N: Don't worry. I like slow-paced and will not turn it into OP dude goes across the whole entire nine worlds in like three chapters. That will not be interesting. I just wanted to use more God Of Highschool, and Demon Slayer stuff….)
(WCM: Is that a spoiler I hear?)
(A/N: Well….. Whatever, lemme publish it.)
(WCM: K.)
