Dante pressed the bell and waited. He assumed there was somebody, or more precisely he hoped there was somebody home. Classes at Red Creek academy weren't over yet so he could have taken advantage of the calm to get his things back, but he didn't want a pointless trip if he could avoid it. He had therefore decided to empty his room the next day after his classes.
Indeed, Dante had decided, like Eden, to leave the dormitories and settle for good in the Everetts' house, which looked more and more like a small pack. The five-bedroom, three-bathroom family home made up for its distance from Red Creek Academy and morning shower traffic with the comforts of a real home that reminded him of Bloodhood, even though they were in the middle of the territory of a modern pack.
