06. Realizing

Li Na was sitting in her room and tried to decipher many words that she never saw before. They seemed like old words, so she scanned them with her phone and tried to find a translation. She felt like she was a foreigner that couldn't read her own words.

Many of the words made no sense until she didn't complete the whole sentence so it was like a strange puzzle that she started putting together. And it was fun. After a while, she would recognize some of the signs, write the meaning in her own book and would chuckle about half-finished sentences as they would have a completely different meaning than complete sentences.

''What is so fun that makes you chuckle the whole time.'' Li Jing was pleasantly surprised. Li Na was not a cheerful child. So seeing her smile and chuckle made her curious.

''I am trying to translate this old book, but if the sentence is not complete it become always something strange.'' Li Na was not hiding anything.

''That is an old book. Is it so interesting to read it?'' She could see that it contained medical terms. This child liked medical books the most. ''Li Na, later in life, do you plan to become a doctor?''

Li Na rose her head and sighed. ''I am not sure. For now, it is quite interesting. Even if I become a doctor I plan to use traditional medicine that wouldn't be as harmful as chemistry.''

Every time her aunt drinks one of those pills she feared she would have some of the side effects. Most natural medicine would be made exactly for the given person lowering the possibility to get another sickness instead of it. She hated the side effects the medicine had.

Li Jing didn't know her thoughts and just felt that this child was smarter than other children. ''Soon it will be time for you to go to school. Can you do me a favour and make some friends? It is not bad having friends, you know?''

Li Na knew that she meant it well so she just accepted. ''I will try. But I can't promise. If people treat me good I will treat them good if they treat me bad...''

''Don't worry. People in this country are friendly to everyone. You will be fine.'' Li Jing chose this country for that reason. Strong laws and friendly people.

Actually, Li Na knew that people were quite friendly as many neighbourhood children came often to take her to play. She hoped to see some of the children in school as well so she would feel comfortable.

The days passed and the more she read and translated the weirder the book became.

''Ten eyes of secondary Black Widow. Five legs of red firefly. Two tails of silver pearl... What are they talking about?''

She took her phone and started searching for information but couldn't find anything that would fit the description even in the nearest sense. What is this book about? Then she remembered the book she saw before. Meng Empire. She checked the data again and nothing normal came out.

Then her memories took her back to that day when she regained her consciousness. The day that woman asked her to open the door and she did it, somehow. She wanted that woman to go away. Leaving such a small child alone with an aunt and escaping to save her own skin but not taking the baby with her. She chuckled. No need for such a mother.

What no one knew was that she was reborn. Into her own self twenty years back in time. But in her other reality, she was living a horrible life. All alone and on the streets, fighting for a piece of bread. When she became older she started working in one household as a cleaning lady. It went well for some time but one day something snapped in the owner of the house and he blew the whole up house in the air, including her.

She was reborn after birth and when she opened her eyes that day, she knew her body was hurt. That woman didn't even realize that the child in her hands was on the brink of death. Yang Lanfan was holding her baby in front of her when she came out, so few small knives that were meant for her were stuck deep in the child's body.

Strangely, that woman didn't even care. Just pushing her into the arms of that older woman and asking her to give her a way to escape together with another man. Luckily that aunt snapped out of her daze as soon the two people disappeared and when she saw the blood slowly wetting the white nightgown she had on her, she rushed to the hospital and even gave her blood to replenish, as they had the same blood group.

When Li Na woke up she saw her pale face right next to her, while patting her head and smiling warmly at her. In her eyes, only this woman can be considered a mother, so she wants to keep her alive for a long, long time.

As she thought about everything her memory snapped back at portals. What did it cause to open? At that time she felt the energy in her that she could use to make her wish happen. But at the moment the energy was strangely quiet. It was there but she couldn't use it.

Li Na suddenly had an idea. Checking the internet she saw that at that time the full moon was high on the ground. The full Moon. Well, she can try it. Full moon lasts for a long time so she can open the window and leave it for short while open? Right?

At that time it was morning so it was already waning moon. It seems she has some time in between. She still doesn't know how it works. But there is time, she can wait and try it out.

Next full moon is in two days anyways, she can see if she could find the possibility...
