"I've been meaning to say, that's a really nice shirt, my dear." Mrs. Jeon compliments Taehyung's outfit as dessert was finally served.

"Thank you," Taehyung answered with a smile as he felt Jungkook's hand on his thigh.

"Where did you get it from?" Mrs. Jeon continued to ask.

"I got it in Japan," Taehyung answered, Jungkook's hand retracted from his thigh.

"Jungkook told us you were going for the summer break, you already went?" Mr. Jeon asked as he takes a spoon of the chocolate dessert.

"Yes, I just got back about 5 days ago." Taehyung's heart is racing as he felt Jungkook's quietness and coldness obviously not liking the topic of Japan.

"Who did you visit there?" Junghyun asked.

"My brother, he works for Min corporation in their main branch in Tokyo." Taehyung could feel Jungkook's uneasiness, but what is he supposed to do? Dismiss Jungkook's family?

"I met with the Mins before, for corporate law matters when they were setting up their branch in Seoul. Really nice people." Mr. Jeon shares, Jungkook grits his teeth not wanting to hear any more about the Mins.

"I remember it was two years ago right Dad?" Junghyun recalls as Mr. Jeon nods in response.

"I met their son- Min Yoongi, I think? He's quite a snob." Junghyun chuckled remembering his encounter with the Mins.

"He's not." Taehyung defends before he can even stop himself.

Jungkook's jaw clenched hearing this, hearing Taehyung defend Yoongi right in front of him, in front of his family.

"You've met him?" Mrs. Jeon wonders, all of them oblivious to what went down, and to Jungkook that is about to burst.

"I- he's my brother's friend." Taehyung simply answered, feeling Jungkook's glare on him.

Thankfully, the subject changed when Mrs. Jeon brought up the new cafe he wants to set up near Busan University.

Taehyung reached for Jungkook's hand trying to making him feel better but Jungkook takes his hand away from Taehyung placing it on top of the table as he continued finishing his dessert.

They drove home that night, not a word from Jungkook, and Taehyung was too afraid to start a conversation.

Jungkook disappeared to his room without a warning, Taehyung can only sigh in defeat not knowing what to do.

He thought Jungkook has already let go of this, how come he's acting like this all of a sudden?

Taehyung heavily sighed not liking where this is going.

Again.

That night, Jungkook didn't talk to Taehyung, he couldn't sleep either.

He tossed and turn but still couldn't tame his mind with the thoughts bothering and nagging him at the back of his head.

It was 3 in the morning when everyone was already asleep, Jungkook heard his bedroom door open and close softly.

"Kookie..." Taehyung whispered as he softly pads across the room.

No response, but Taehyung can see that Jungkook is still wide awake.

"Are you still mad at me?" Taehyung sat down at the edge of Jungkook's bed.

"You told me we will move past that, why are you mad now?" Jungkook bitterly chuckles as he finally sits up.

"Because Taehyung why did you have to defend him like that? In front of me." Jungkook's voice loud, in contrast to Taehyung's whispers and soft tone.

"Because he's my friend to Kookie, and he's far from being a snob," Taehyung whispered softly trying to explain himself.

"Friend? Do you go around kissing your friends?" Jungkook snickered.

"Oh wait, I almost forgot you kissed Jimin as well right? Should I be concerned about everyone you are friends with Taehyung?" Jungkook accused making Taehyung flinch.

"It's not like that Kookie, I'm not like that." Taehyung's heart aches at the accusation.

"Of course, of course, but I'm sure Yoongi is far from being a snob too, I mean it's not like a snob will make out with you right?" Jungkook taunts Taehyung even more.

"Kookie, I'm sorry okay? I don't know what else to say." Taehyung sighed giving up.

He doesn't know what to tell Jungkook, he already explained himself.

"What even is so great about him? Aside from he's an heir to a huge corporation? Did he have hidden talents that he let you experience?" Jungkook accused Taehyung once more.

"Kookie, let's not wake your parents up." Taehyung pleads looking around in panic.

"Is it my parents or you just don't want to really tell me the truth?" Taehyung moved closer to Jungkook trying to calm him down.

"Kookie please keep it down." Taehyung pleads once again.

Jungkook got up pulling a shirt on as he dragged Taehyung by his arm outside. He grabbed his car keys as they exit the house.

"Where are we going?" Taehyung asked as Jungkook pushed him into the car slamming the door to the passenger's seat.

"Somewhere we can talk," Jungkook answered, he pulled out of the driveway, the automatic gates opening and closing.

Taehyung can feel the shivers in his spine, and not the good kind.

The drive was short and quiet, Jungkook parked in an empty space facing the beach.

"Okay, talk." Jungkook removed his seat belt, Taehyung did the same.

"What do you want me to say?" Taehyung sighed.

"Did you really not sleep with him?" Jungkook finally voiced out his doubts, his doubts that he repressed.

Ever since the time he and Taehyung had sex after Japan, Jungkook's thoughts have been bothering him at the changes he noticed from the other.

Don't get him wrong, Jungkook absolutely loved and enjoyed it but it was unusual for Taehyung to be like this with him, so he couldn't help but have these thoughts.

Taehyung sighed rolling his eyes annoyed at Jungkook's repeated accusation.

"This is not fair, I already told you we didn't have sex." Taehyung begins.

"We were broken up then, I didn't cheat on you," Taehyung adds, remembering Jimin's words.

"You weren't saying that the last time, you're trying to justify yourself now?" Jungkook grits his teeth, he knows Taehyung is right, they were broken up then.

Jungkook just can't accept the fact that Taehyung was able to do that.

Jungkook can't even look at other people in that way anymore let alone make out or sleep with them even before he and Taehyung officially got together.

"Kookie please I don't want to fight." Taehyung reached for Jungkook but was rejected.

"Then be honest with me, did you or did you not fuck that douche bag?!" Jungkook's voice raised once again.

"He's not a douche-"

"Go ahead keep defending him." Jungkook throws his hand up in anger making Taehyung retract back on his seat.

"No, Kookie I didn't have sex with him." Taehyung softly whispered he's telling the truth, Jungkook knows this.

He can hear and feel the sincerity behind Taehyung's voice.

Which is why Jungkook proceeded with his next question.

"Have you done other things aside from kissing him?" Jungkook asked quietly, not knowing what to expect

Silence.

Taehyung kept silent not knowing how to answer the question.

An awful pit formed in Jungkook's stomach at the realization of what Taehyung's silence meant.

"Oh, my God" Jungkook's voice shakes in hurt, anger, and jealousy, shaking his head in disbelief.

"DAMN IT TAEHYUNG! ANSWER ME!" Jungkook yells, Taehyung's silence is deafening that he couldn't take it anymore.

"YES WE DID! HAPPY?!" Taehyung yells back having enough of it.

"We did more than kissing but we didn't go all the way okay?! We were drunk it was during our last night in Okinawa. What else do you want to know Jungkook?!" Taehyung for the first time in his life raised his voice like that.

Jungkook remained silent, still processing and feeling the pain that rushed through his veins at the new revelation.

Taehyung takes a deep breath calming down.

"I told you already if you don't want me anymore just tell me. I'll go." Taehyung calmly said.

"I thought you understood, I didn't call you out with all the people you flirted with, slept with." Taehyung shots back having enough of Jungkook's hypocritical judgment.

"That was before you Taehyung." Jungkook reasoned out with a stern tone.

"Don't you think it makes me feel insecure? I don't tell you, because I don't want to be annoying but it bothers me knowing how much experience you had with other people, and then there's me." Taehyung admits, voicing out his deepest insecurities.

"It's not like that at all and you know it." Jungkook finally faced Taehyung, his voice softening, his heart clenching at Taehyung's confession.

He didn't know that Taehyung thinks and feels like this.

"Do I? What if one day you woke up and realized I'm too boring for you? Or you don't want to stick to one person any more?" Taehyung whimpered holding his tears back as he finally comes clean with his emotions as well.

Jungkook's heartbreaks, even more, he couldn't understand how Taehyung is thinking like this.

He loves Taehyung so much that whatever Taehyung is worried about is far from happening.

"Tae, that's never going to happen." Jungkook tries to assure his boyfriend who he didn't know is full of these thoughts.

"You don't know that for sure Jungkook." Jungkook this time reached for Taehyung's hand lightly squeezing it in reassurance.

"I am sure that I love you and I always will, I am sure of you. I have never been more sure my entire life." Jungkook confessed his heart out.

"But we can't keep going like this, you can't keep telling me you're done just because you're annoyed or jealous. If you're really done with me now because of what happened during the time we were broken up then tell me." Jungkook can hear the pain in his voice.

"I'll leave you alone Jungkook, I won't force you to be with me if you can't forgive me but I don't want to go on and on about this again." Taehyung firmly said despite the tears that are beginning to form in the corner of his eyes.

"Don't say that." Jungkook's voice breaks.

"Don't say you will leave me." Jungkook's words sounding like a plea more than a statement.

"Then what do you want from me? I'm tired." Taehyung closed his eyes leaning on the headrest.

"Of us?" Jungkook's voice cracks once again, tears threatening to fall from his eyes.

"I'm tired of fighting, I'm exhausted," Taehyung admits.

"No please, don't give up on me yet. I'm sorry." Jungkook panics.

"I will- I'll let this go, for real this time," Jungkook promised with tears flowing from his eyes.

"Please don't cry." Taehyung's heart shatters at the sight of Jungkook crying.

Jungkook's strong facade, nowhere to be found.

Taehyung couldn't take the sight of Jungkook being so vulnerable, he leaned in placing his lips on Jungkook's in an attempt of kissing Jungkook's pain away.

Jungkook kissed back putting his hand on Taehyung's nape as their kiss escalated from soft, calm, and gentle, it became, hungrier, being fueled with passion.

"Are we okay?" Taehyung whispered looking up at Jungkook.

"We are baby. I'm sorry, for..." Jungkook stopped not knowing which one exactly.

"For everything."

"I'm sorry too." Taehyung apologized, Jungkook leans in placing a kiss on top of Taehyung's head.

"Can you promise me one thing?" Jungkook softly asked, rubbing Taehyung's back.

Taehyung hums in response.

"Promise me, that it will only be me because it will always be just you for me Taehyung," Jungkook tells Taehyung, his heart desperate for Taehyung's full commitment.

Jungkook doesn't know what Taehyung has done to him, before Taehyung, Jungkook couldn't care less about commitments, promises, love, exclusiveness.

Those were nothing but bullshit to him.

He remembers those times when some of his regular hookups start demanding commitment and relationship.

He simply laughed at them and now, look at where he is, desperately begging for Taehyung to give him the full assurance that it will always be just him.

"I can't imagine life without you anymore," Jungkook confessed.

Truth be told, Jungkook used to hate plans, he hated how his dad had planned out his brother's life and is glad that they let Jungkook be on his own.

He used to just want to live in the moment.

Yet, now, he's not ashamed to admit that he sees himself with Taehyung until the very end.

He's not ashamed to admit that his whole life is planned out in his mind and that Taehyung is the one holding that plan together, without Taehyung he couldn't imagine his life anymore.

"I promise." Taehyung smiled uttering his promise.

"Promise you won't leave me again?" Jungkook softly caressed Taehyung's cheeks.

"Promise you won't give me a reason to?" Taehyung looks up to Jungkook with hopeful eyes.

Taehyung wants to make this work, he really does.

"I promise," Jungkook replies.

"I love you so much Tae, you have no idea," Jungkook whispered.

"I love you too," Taehyung answered, moving up to place his lips on Jungkook's.

They shared a gentle, reassuring kiss, a kiss full of promises.

The couple stayed in the car, they waited and watched as the sun slowly rises from the east, signifying a new day.

A new day, a new beginning for them, with yesterday remaining in the past.

Or at least, hoping that the yesterday will truly remain in the past.
