Why am I the Villain?...

Waking up in a novel we read would be some of our heartfelt wishes. But what if it was a dark fantasy novel? Now that would be either interesting or terrifying maybe a mixture of both. If you reincarnated as the Hero that is... Waking up as Sirac Saeron Ksharthel, a minor villain was not something I imagined would happen to me, a normal student in my world. If only it wasn't a damn revenge regression novel. And what's this nonsense about becoming the main villain, that I keep seeing on the oh-so-esteemed 'system'? Chapter 2

One plus equals two, right?

That's what I think so too, but why the fuck are there three people in our family carriage instead of just me and Tisha.

"Long time no see, Saric."

Said a girl who was supposed to be the hero's aide in the original timeline.

"Same here, Alice."

I spoke out instinctively, though in reality I was frozen still.

She had long golden blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. However, more than her appearance, it was her aura—pure and refined, that drew people to her.

Though the novel readers were familiar with her other face,

Alice Frank Beister, aka the dark butcher of the hero. The one who ripped the skin of those who had bullied her and then made them eat their own skin.

Her golden blond hair was supposed to be covered in blood, turning it into an uneven mixture of dark red hair with blonde streaks and her iconic spell -

*Shiver*

And that Alice was now sharing a ride with me, a guy who was a villain.

Fuck you, Murphy.

Thankfully, Tisha seemed to notice my discomfort and spoke to Alice, instead of me.

Yes, big sister, I never doubted you.

"How have you been, Alice? I haven't seen you since the last party?"

Tisha asked with a polite tone, as was expected from a noble.

"I am fine, Miss. Tisha. Though I am sorry for intruding on your carriage ride."

"It's fine. It is always good to have more company while travelling."

"Thank you. I am grateful for this and I am sure my father too."

"Nonsense, your family helped us last year when we had a drought by providing farmers water, we are happy to return the favour. Though I have heard that Lord Beister was injured in his recent fight with Bandits?"

" Father has thankfully recovered. He still has a bit of fatigue left, but there are no concerning signs."

"Oh? Is that so, Good. He is a Good Lord, so it is his Good karma helping him."

"You are too kind, Miss. Tisha."

And then their polite talk continued, without me, which I was happy about.

*Yawn*

I stifled a yawn and stretched my body a little, to alleviate the soreness in my body.

Finally, I am here

Modern transport was truly comfortable compared to the carriage I had ridden, though it was more comfortable than I initially thought.

This made me come to a conclusion that I used whenever I encounter shit that breaks my 'Earthly' perception.

Magic.

I thought as I looked at the building in front of me. Which was... underwhelming, to say the least.

*pft*

I heard a soft giggle to my side, which I could immediately recognize.

"What you see is just a portal. Enter the building and we will be transported to the academy."

Said Tisha as she waved goodbye to me. Though she stopped mid-way and tossed something at me.

'A lucky charm doll?'

I thought as I looked at a small figurine with the word "Fortune" written on it.

Before I could say something, she walked towards another girl, her friend. Perhaps, leaving me alone.

With Alice...

I turned back, to see if she was following me. Which she wasn't, as she was still taking her stuff out.

It's not like I have to talk to her.

I thought, Channeling my inner introvert. So I did the only sensible thing that came to my mind.

I ran.

Not physically, of course, but metaphorically.

Within a minute I was at the entrance of the building and showed my acceptance letter to the guards there. Who was making sure not to let anyone without acceptance in.

"LET ME IN, THIS IS UNFAIR, I SCORED JUST AS MUCH AS THOSE NOBLES "

"DON'T PLAY WITH US, THIS IS OUR LIVES"

"PLEASE, MY SON WORKED SO HARD, I AM SURE HE WILL BE GOOD ENOUGH."

There were a few people, commoners, crowded there protesting. However, that didn't last long as guards with long cloth barriers came and surrounded them.

They formed a barricade, that closed the protestants within the cloth obscuring them from the rest.

I hate to think what is going on inside there.

"Please leave all your non-essential language such as clothes here, we will directly send them to your dormitories."

Said another guard who was writing down my name on a sticker.

I gave him my trunk and bag while still keeping some stuff on me and looked at the faintly glowing magical circle on the ground.

So without further Ado, I stepped on the portal and instantly teleported to

The forest, at least this scene is same as the novel.

This wasn't.

I thought as I stared at the third time 'The Villain system' had shown up to me.

And I am sure the novel didn't have one.

Honestly, I had thought over it many times over the past few days, debating whether or not to ignore this nonsense.

But if it increases my chance of survival against the 'Hero' and the 'Purge', I'll take anything that comes my way.

But who put me and the system here? Why me?

I shook my head to clear the repetitive thoughts I had since I came to this world and focused on the system which was displaying various things.

I mentally clicked on the blinking cache storage.

[You have successfully entered Act 1. Here are the Beginner bonus]

[Villainous aura- Basic, Mind reader charm-basicx2, collar, leash, underwear]

I mentally clicked on the items again.

[Villainous Aura-Basic: A small area effect that distorts a person's natural perception, varies depending on the target object.]

[Mind reader charm- Basic: You can read the target object's thoughts for 30 seconds]

[Collar: It is a collar normally worn by animals and sometimes Huma-]

Enough. I am not even going to read the other two.

Better than nothing, but at least you could have given me something, that helps me directly in a fight.

The first act is also known as the 'Forest Test- incident', In the original timeline was just a normal cliched 'Academy Entrance Test' scenario.

Just a Magical Forest which had some dangerous animals / monsters,

You know the ones with eeire silence ,tall trees and a dark atmosphere due to the trees blocking out the sunlight,Ominous aura, etc- The same overly used troope.

Our goal was to reach the end of this forest.

That is also the reason why I kept some basic stuff such as a knife and a generic staff on me. That would have been enough to clear this 'test' in the original round.

But in the first regression cycle, This is also the place where the 'Hero' 'De-armed' one of the viscount's sons causing him to not be able to use his magic or sword.

Which leads to him getting mauled by a normal bear.

He survived it, though he was traumatised and would eventually quit the academy, as he got 'PTSD' whenever he looked at another animal.

So what am I going to do?

Hide, of course.

What? Did you expect me to one-shot this test or something?

Life is too short to be a main character in a fantasy novel.

I personally, would like to live.

So that's what I did. I waited and I waited, till a person crossed where I hid and then followed them.

Ah, there comes one person.

I focused on the person. Black clothes, White hai-

Nope, not going to follow him, I am pretty sure that the hero had white hair.

What's up with that though, it's always the white-haired ones who are Overpowered.

And I have dark reddish black hair, that normally supporting characters had.

At least it matches my theme as a villain. Imagine if it was pink.

I shivered as I removed that thought from my head.

So I waited for another target.

Brown hair, and a girl too. Perfect.

And then I stalke-followed her, without permission.

Slowly the girl started to gain momentum. Which made it a bit difficult for me to follow as I had to make sure not to step on any twigs or dry leaves.

That would be a stupid way to get caught.

Seriously, what does this girl eat?

Finally, she stopped when I was just about to find another target.

What is she doing?

She hid behind a tree, peeked across it, and took out her staff.

Another person or a monster

I thought as I struggled to see what she was doing.

She once again began running the other way, so I too did the same. Without a single thought of looking at what had made her run, as any person with common sense would do.

*AHHH*

That was before I heard a massive scream and the trees started to break.

"AHHH...NO...NO HELP ME. BEAR .HEKP AHHH"

And then the scream ended.

Oh

My mind raced with a thousand thoughts and came to a single conclusion.

I followed the Hero.

I FOLLOWED THE FUCKING HERO.

WHAT THE FUCK. WHY IS THE HERO A GIRL IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A MALE. FUCK, FUCK , FU--

My mind blanked, unable to formulate a single coherent thought. My heart rate went out of the roof.

The scent of trees, the tatse of my own saliva, the sensation of non existent-wind on my skin all hit me at once.

My body instictually backed away.

*clank*

The knife which I had attached to my belt fell.

"Come Out. I can see you hiding."

I am dead

How is the second chapter?

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
