Little Sprite
After waking up from my sleep I saw my uncle looking at me with a face that I had only seen once a few years back, he was shaking not in fear but in happiness. I remember the memories from my past and I longed to see them again. Their faces once again got buried from my memories ,as if they were walking like faceless shadows. I almost cried my heart out but...my parents said to keep moving forward snd get stronger, to push through. After that I continued my daily routine and keep going forward.
After getting out from a warm shower I got ready to go back to learning and studying with the other students, but I still feel the emptiness inside like my heart is still missing a piece that had been lost and chipped that still hadn't been found. Then the door opened *kerchak* I heard a few step but then it stop right near the entrance of my room, I sensed two shadows behind me as I was facing the window in the opposite direction from the door. I looked back and saw two person standing in happiness and one was nearly starting to cry and got teary-eyes from joy. I look at them with a smile and opened my arms wide as they run towards me and hugged me tightly with a joyous look..."There, there" I said as they embrace me tighter than before telling me that I shouldn't do that type of thing again.
"What do you mean "there, there"?!" She said while nearly in tear's.
"You guys are going to crush me any time soon...ugh hehe" I said as I start to get short breaths and struggling while catching my breath.
"Oops.. sorry Jake are you ok?...hehe" said Kyle as he laugh in a little guilty way at the end.
"A-are you ok?" May said while whipping her tear's and started to pat me and checked me if I had been hurt.
"I'm fine... I'll be ok ,I promise" I said softly as I fixed my disheveled clothes.
"But... your appearance isn't changing back" May said with a worried look as she use her magic to show me.
A mirror slowly appeared between us three, she was using the water that was flowing from outside my balcony and it flowed inside my room then after a few seconds there was a full mirror infront of us. I saw my original appearance on the mirror made of water . Except for my animal ears and tail I can't hide my appearance. My hair didn't turn black, my eyes didn't turned brown as it used to do. Usually I would be surrounded by sprites feom the forest by now trying their best to shade me from anyone's eyes so that "others" won't see my original form, but they are not even showing nor tried to take a peek.
"Right!!.. something must had changed!" Kyle said as his hands turned into a fist and landed it on his other hands palm looking at me up and down.
"Even your eyes turned redder and bluer" he added.
I looked at the mirror once again "he was right!" I said to myself as I look at my self. My yellowy-sunset colored eye was now reddish-yellow type in color while the other side that was supposed to be night sky blue-ocean eye is now a color like a cloudless dawn reflected from the ocean blue. I look at myself up and down, I think nothing change but other than I can't change my form and eyes changing, everything was alright.
That was what I thought after we sorted it out before the bell rang and now getting on the schools main ground . Sitting in my chair for first period, I see these forest spirit's or should I say sprites . They were peeking through the windows as we started class But then again they are...
He got interrupted from his thoughts after hearing a familiar voice a few chair away from him...
"Are you already alright?" Zine asked while his head was tilting at Jake's direction.
"Ouch..." Jake said as he tugs at his white silvery hair. "That hurts don't tug on it, it's not a toy little one" he whispers.
"Huh?... are you talking to anyone? But nobody isn't even next to you." Zine though as he changed to his original appearance, his eyes turned red but leaving the wing's out of anyone's sight.
"Ahem!...Mr. Zine please refrain from shifting in the room, our class period right now is potion making not shifting" the teacher said as the whole class was staring at him, others were laughing silently while the other half were whispering.
Jake look at Zine who had red eyes looking at his direction where the sprites were hiding on the other side of the window with a curious look.
"I'm sorry ma'am, but there's this flying beings beyond the window hiding..." Zine said without batting an eye on the students and teacher who was looking at him.
"Ohh... really I see.." the teacher said slowly getting closer and closer to the window. "Well that's rare, usually sprites aren't this used to getting this near to us" she said as her eyes turned lively-green and her ears turned pointed like an elf's ears.
Jake looks back at the sprites who were nearly starting to tremble slowly backing away from the window. All of the students who can change form turned back to their original forms while the others change their eyes with their power's. After shifting animal ears and elf ears popped up from their heads, they saw the sprites that were near the windows with different colors and shades like the mana that surrounds the forest floor that gives life and energy to it's surroundings. Everyone was amazed, while the sprites tries to hide. It was a once in a lifetime for the class to see a lot of sprites gathering together, since it's rare for sprites to gather in large numbers like this.
A gust of wind blows, one little sprite was blown inside the classroom, there were only three open windows so the little sprite panicked. It was light and white in color, it flew around trying the room trying to avoid the students who were trying to catch it. Atlas it hid on Jake's hands that was open, it hid there while it was trembling and clutching it's wing's tight.
