He slid his hands inside his pockets while waiting outside the police headquarters. The breeze was cold, so he zipped up his jacket while waiting for her. He doesn't know why he is waiting for her to finish the remaining paperworks but he has the urge to do so. He crossed his arms and leaned on his car while staring at the glass doors. He remembered how she looked so anxious earlier at the restaurant. Perhaps it was the reason why he is doing things for her. He has gone through those kinds of situations and he wanted to be a help for her.

"Kenta!" A smile formed on his lips when a senior police detective approached him. The older man was in a rush, so they just had a quick talk before hailing a cab to go home. He waved his hand when the older man finally left. He looked up and it started to rain.

He was about to go inside the car when he saw her walking under the rain. He quickly took his jacket off and ran towards her to cover her with it. She was surprised with what he did. He forced her to get inside his car and then, he took his handkerchief from his pocket to give it to her. She didn't accept it, so he grabbed her hand and placed it on her palm. She stared out of nowhere but since she was already soaked with rain, her tears started to fall from her eyes uncontrollably.

She doesn't know why she is crying. She is feeling sad. She is feeling empty. She feels like she is missing something and she doesn't know what it is. She reached for her phone inside her bag and dialed her second brother's contact number. She couldn't just let him bring her home. She is an unmarried and uncommitted woman. She knows when to keep her guard up. After a few rings, the call finally connected. She asked her brother if he could fetch her up from the headquarters and he quickly said yes since it was raining hard.

"You don't need to do things for me. I can take care of myself." She said as she gave him back his handkerchief. Instead of getting it from her, he covered her with his jacket instead. She gripped on it tightly before giving back everything to him. She got out of his car and continued to cry silently under the rain.

A few minutes later, her brother finally arrived. Sho took the umbrella he prepared earlier and got out of the car to cover her with it. It took her a while to feel safe inside the car while her brother was driving back to their home. Their parents were so worried about them, especially about her since it was just a month since she recovered from comatose. Her future sister-in-law prepared warm soup for her but she didn't like the taste because it tasted weird. She noticed the small bump on her tummy, assuming that it tasted weird because of her pregnancy.

"Nee is pregnant?" She asked and her brother nodded. She smiled faintly and continued to drink the warm soup instead. She shouldn't be picky with food right now. She finished the soup and took a warm bath before going to her old room.

She already moved out of her parents' house when she started attending the police academy. She froze on her spot the moment she walked inside her old room. She felt incomplete, so she looked around to find what was missing. She rummaged through her drawers and she found nothing but unused school materials she brought a decade ago. She sat on the bed and closed her eyes to listen to the sound of the rain.

"Taiki! What are you doing?!" She shouted at him when he suddenly ran outside and played in the rain. He pulled her hand and they let themselves get soaked with it. He held her close as he hummed softly, swaying their bodies together, dancing with the sound of the rain.

"The rain is too cold today, love." Her voice was so sweet yet very concerned about him. He rested his forehead on hers, staring deep in her eyes before kissing her lips. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he wrapped his around her waist.

"I love you, Ren." He whispered between the kisses and she smiled softly. She felt butterflies in her stomach, so she broke the kiss and buried her heated face on his chest. He left a kiss on top of her head and then, he carried her in his arms to go back inside her house already.

The two went to the bathroom together and continued what they were doing earlier. The drenched clothes fell on the floor and he leaned her naked body down to the tub. He filled it with warm water and then, he joined her after pouring her favorite liquid bath soap. He leaned closer and kissed her lips once again. He was her first but it was not their first time to do it in the tub. She felt like running out of breath when he decided to control her body on top of him. He filled her bare skin with love marks but he made sure that he would be the only one who could see it when she is naked.

"Love.." She called for him while gripping on his shoulder tightly. She dug her nails on his skin and accidentally left scratches on his chest. He buried his face on the crook of her neck as they both reached the climax.

He stared at her sleeping figure while smiling. Two hours had passed already since they made love in the bathroom but he really couldn't forget how much he needed her that time. He reached for her hair and gently caressed it. He couldn't sleep and he didn't want to force himself to sleep, so he just admired her beautiful face while she was asleep. She turned her body to the side and hugged the pillow instead. He chuckled silently and hugged her from behind while leaving kisses on top of her head. This woke her up, so she asked him why he was not sleeping yet.

"I'm not yet sleepy. Would you like to make me feel tired?" He asked and since she was half-asleep, she went back to sleep instead. He looked at the small pill bottle on the bedside table, knowing that it contained contraceptive pills. She took one earlier after they made love, just to make sure they will not have accidents yet.

"Let's get married in the future, Ren." He whispered before burying his face on her back. He slowly closed his eyes as he suddenly felt sleepy after saying those words to her. He wanted to marry her and build a family with her. It was one of his greatest dreams with the love of his life.
