"Look, Akira if you are messing around with me please stop it. This is going too far." Kiara looked around thinking she was being recorded or something but Akira stared back at her with a heartbroken look. 

"You know what hurts more than being rejected?" he spoke in a hazy voice. "It is when your feelings are considered a joke." He gave her one last depressing look before he walked away. Kiara was unsure of whatever had just happened and she felt like her joints had been glued togather making her unable to move. She stood there looking at Akira's back with a heavy look. 

'What happened just now? How–" The confession was one of the most unexpected things that had happened to her, Of all the people Akira had fallen for her and she wasn't even ready for it. Kiara's feet gave up on her and she crouched on the ground and slipped her hands into her hair while her eyes were wide open staring at the floor on the pavement in front of her.
