Chapter 8

|3rd POV|

Ozpin, the headmaster of Beacon Academy, looks at the screen in front of him with a frown on his face. The show of power in front of him is not something that he has seen in a hundred years.

In his immortal life, Ozpin has never seen an attack like what William is doing right now. Of course, he knew some people in the past who could summon creatures from the other dimension, but it was when magic still existed, and the Gods still lived on the planet.

No. He did not want to make a rash decision. There is a chance in his mind that William is the illegitimate son of the Schnee family. He has the right physical appearance, after all. White hair, slender body, and a power that lets you summon a creator using glyphs. That is the characteristic of a Schnee.

"However, I need to keep an eye on him just in case."

Ozpin is not the only one thinking the same thing. Watching the stream is a young woman called Weiss Schnee. Never in her life was she able to see someone so powerful, yet no one knew who he was.

However, what caught her attention was the man standing alone on top of the wall with a book in hand and a magic circle around him. She did not know that it was a magic circle, not a Glyph, the semblance of her family.

She sees him summon two massive creatures she has never seen before. In her entire life, she only knows that the Schnee family's semblance can only summon Grimm and not other creatures like William does right now.

"How does he do that? Some kind of mutation, perhaps?"

Weiss mutters while looking at her scroll while lying down on her bed.

"That must be it. There is a record of Schnee's semblance mutated, allowing the user to summon creatures other than Grimm. However, it was not as real as him. His summon did not look like a form of energy."

Weiss snaps from her musing when she sees William begin his move.

"Garuda! Take care of the one in the sky!"

"Skreee!"

The giant feathered woman screams and flies to the sky. Then, with a flap of her wings, a massive cyclone appears in front of her and kills the smaller Grimm on the ground and the smaller flying Grimm.

However, the stronger Grimm did not die in a single attack. One of the Beringel let itself fly, using the cyclone to throw its body at Garuda. However, before it could punch her, Garuda released a torrent of wind from her mouth.

Garuda looks at Ifrit and, using a telepathic connection between them, asks Ifrit to fire his powerful attack. Ifrit creates a massive ball of fire and tosses it at Garuda, which makes an enormous wind storm.

The ball of fire combines with Garuda's attack and creates a massive fire windstorm that burns many Grimm at once.

The people on the wall can only see in awe as that attack kills at least a hundred Grimm at once. But, sadly, that attack did attack not only the enemy but also attack the hunter who was too close to the attack.

Lucky for them, William is near them. He quickly spread his hand and cast as many healing spells as he could. Filia runs around the wall to channel William's spell to heal the one who is too far away from him.

"Dammit! Garuda! Watch where you use that attack! There is an ally around us!"

"Screee!"

Garuda apologizes and continues to dominate the sky while Ifrit dominates the land. While both of his summonses are fighting, William has a hard time taking control of the wall. He continues to juggle healing and fighting as the Grimm already breaches the wall.

Lucky for him, the ones who manage to pass the wall are only a few Grimm. As a result, the guard and civilians in the city can defend themselves.

William looks at the giant Beringel and casts another spell.

"Crimson Cyclone!"

He can feel his entire body heat up, and as he dashes forward, he thrusts his fist at the Grimm. When his hand hit the target, an explosion happened and tore the Grimm apart.

After killing the first Beringel, William did not see another one jump at him. A smaller and more agile Grimm. It was so fast that William couldn't block or even dodge the incoming attack.

"Urgh"

William grunts in pain as the Baringel manages to land a solid hit on his chest. He gets up from the ground and points his finger at the Grimm in front of him before saying.

"Ruin"

An explosion is happening, and that attack is enough to kill the smaller Beringel. While the attack did not hurt him directly, the impact still hurt.

William released a long sigh before looking at the battlefield. The Grimm in his area is almost gone. However, the fight is not over.

A massive Grimm manages to climb the wall on the western side of the wall. This Grimm takes the shape of a giant Centipede but with four massive mandibles. The Grimm uses its mandibles to climb the wall and ignore all the bullets hitting it. Its armor is strong enough to take all the bullets.

When it arrives on top of the wall, it roars and spits a lot of acid from its mouth. Three people died immediately from the acid attack, and seven hunters had severe injuries. This Grimm is called…

"Cenitaur!"

William to his right and see the Cenitaur rampaging on their west side.

"Filia! Come on!"

"Kyu!"

Filia and William run toward the west side and heal anyone they pass by. When they arrive in front of a massive Grimm, he quickly casts his spell.

"Energy Drain! Energy Siphon!"

He can feel his mana refill at a fast pace, and when it reaches a certain mark, he casts another spell.

"Ruinja (Ruin IV)!"

A massive explosion is happening as he can hear the scream coming from the Grimm. However, instead of dying in a single attack, the Cenitaur releases a lot of acid from its mouth. William manages almost to dodge the attack but sadly for him, his legs get hit by the acid.

"Argh! Physick!"

While William is busy healing his legs so he can move, the Cenitaur roars and dashes at him to kill him. However, before it can get close, Filia appears above it and releases a torrent of wind. The massive body of the Cenitaur fell to the ground, and each time it tried to get up, Filia would unleash another torrent of wind.

The Cenitaur uses its tail and mandibles to attack Filia. While the little Carbuncle manages to dodge most of the attacks, she cannot dodge the last attack.

"Kyuu~"

Filia whimpers as she lands next to William, who has just finished healing his legs. He gently petted his partner and glared at the Grimm, who roared at him.

"I'm sorry, dear."

"Kyuuu~"

William nods his head and starts to chant.

"Come and answer my call! O Lord of Destruction!"

"I call you from the Land of Living!"

"Come! O Elder Primal!"

"Come from the Land of Nothingness!"

"Let the world see your majesty once more!"

"Summon! Bahamut!"
