Meeting the mother in law (Part 1)

All the things of Lily is shifted to Leonard room. Today they are going to meet Leonard's mother. Lily is inside their bedroom, she is folding her clothes properly placing it inside the wardrobe, beside his clothes. Lily still couldn't believe that she is married and from now onwards would be sharing a room with her husband.

Everything seems surreal to her. She never in her life imagine that there would be a dramatic turn in her life. Lily heard a knock, she turns and saw a girl of her age wearing maid outfit "Can I come in ma'am"

"Yes yes come in" Lily said.

"Hello ma'am my name is Mia, Aunt jenny hired me to personally tend you. If you need anything please don't hesitate to call me" Mia said.

Lily give her an awkward smile "You can call me by my name". Mia give a polite smile " It's against the protocols ma'am "

"Oh ...okay" Lily said nodding.

"I shall take my leave" Mia bow and leave the room not before turning and giving a last glance to Lily back.

Lily done with placing her clothes. Suddenly her gaze falls on the magazine cover which titled "Newly bachelor to tie the knot". The cover is of Zachary with his arms wrap around Alice waist. This picture is of before their marriage. He is no doubt one of the influential figures So, how come media didn't attack Lily after their divorce. A sarcastic smile spread across her lips.

Zachary and Lily marriage was very small and secretive event. He agreed to marry her only if the event kept hidden. So, no reporters or relatives were present except the close family members. There was rumours flying around about their marriage but not once he responded. In every event he appear with different women as if he is ashamed of her to even introduce her as his wife. He sure make it very clear that she is anything but a burden he is carrying.

Leonard came inside of their bedroom. He just end his call when he saw Lily staring magazine cover. A weird feeling spread inside him, he don't know how to react. He walk towards her and sit beside her " Your ex"

Lily suddenly break away from her reverie and look at Leonard "Yes"

Leonard nodded, he takes the magazine away from her grip and look at the picture of Zachary "Do you still love him?" he said still looking at the magazine.

Lily blink several times 'Do she still love him' she thought. But looking at the cover there wasn't a slight change in her emotions. All she felt was disappointment for loving someone who never cared for her. She look at Leonard who is still looking or rather glaring at the cover. A small laugh leave her mouth. Leonard look at Lily and frown "What so funny?"

Lily grin "You look cute when you frown and to answer your question No, I don't feel anything for him"

Leonard release a breath in relive that he don't know was holding "Good" he murmur.

Suddenly Lily realise something"By the way did you inform your mother. And what's her name? what do she like? I'm meeting her for the first time what if she don't like me.... Which I'm sure... Argh!!!! I already had a war like relationship with my ex mother in law. How will I handle another? " Lily groan.

Leonard look at Lily with amuse. He hold her shoulder and pull her towards him, placing a kiss on her lips. Lily eyes widen with his sudden kiss "You are panicking for no reason. I already told you she is unlike any other women"

Lily nodded "OK ... What should I gift her afterall I will be meeting her for the first time!"

Leonard cough awkwardly "the thing is Lily... My mother name is Larisa Marshall"

Lily eyes suddenly widen "What!!!!" she exclaim looking at Leonard with wide eyes.

"You mean the Larisa Marshall who is the mayor of our city" Lily exclaim.

"Yes" Leonard said.

Lily narrow her eyes at Leonard "Just who are you? and why haven't I heard of you?"

"The thing is Lily I tend to be rebellious and with my personality nobody believes that I'm her son. And mother and me usually stays low profile. We both are busy with our work" Leonard said with awkward smile.

"She surely gonna hate me" Lily reacted with a facepalm.
