"I know my guts were right, you aren't ordinary, huh??" Bernard said, still seated in his seat with a smug expression.

"So who are you?? The Supercop?? It would make sense because they are the guys with the best disguise."

Hearing what Barnard said, Ruby thought: 'This confidence; he has something brewing?"

Just from the way Barnard spoke, Ruby could tell that the latter was hiding something or he had a trump card that might allow him to escape.

But before that, Ruby first threw a punch, cutting Barnard off guard; however, Barnard yanked Muna to his side as he tried to use her as a shield, but the latter sent an elbow to his face quickly fleeing before the punch connected to Barnard's face.

And as the punch made an impact, Barnard was sent toppling, bouncing as he skidded through the ground.

"This is super strength no doubt." Standing up, Barnard wiped the blood trailing from his lips.

"Whoever you're, we could talk this out. It doesn't have to be a fight. Let's act civil!"

"…" Ruby stared at Barnard as though the latter was an alien. From what his live feed transmitted, this asshole was grinding human kids, which was anything but civil!

"you bastard! How dare you call yourself civil?"

"…" Barnard started sweating as he heard what Ruby said; he was starting to worry if they'd find out about his secret business, but he still tried to play along.

"I'm civil! I'm not the one who throws punches randomly."

"Playing along? Acting like you don't know, then let's do it your way!"

With words, Ruby darted toward Barnard, who had already clenched his fist together.

When he got closer, He made a wide swing with his hands. Barnard raised his hands to block the attack, but in mid-air, a shadowy sword appeared in Ruby's hands.

Stunned, The sword slashes into Barnard's neck.

And his neck rolled off from his head!

"This is strange. I saw that creepy smirk on his face."

While the sword was just inches away from Barnard's face, Ruby glimpsed a slight grin on Barnard's face before his neck was severed off!

'He couldn't just die like that, right? I mean, the system won't offer such rewards for a weak—"

Cough

Suddenly, Ruby heard a cough in the quiet casino which was filled with people, but these people didn't say anything, waiting for the physco to finish what he was doing and leave them, hopefully!

However, when the cough came, their heart started thumping. Sweat rolled off their heads. Then, everyone started cursing whosoever coughed.

Ruby soon, realizes something:

'This mother fucker is still alive." As he held the shadow sword tighter, he proceeded to slice Barnard's lifeless body. However…

…As the sword slash Barnard, his body faded into blurs and the shadow sword just passed through it as if no one was there in the fireplace.

'Now this is more like it! I knew this guy wouldn't die just like that!'

Ruby started to scan the hall for any sight of Barnard, then he saw it. Standing in the crowd was Barnard; his neck was still intact with no speck of blood on his body.

"Hey, I'm Barnard, you think you could just kill me like that??" He smirked while approaching Ruby.

The onlooker had a sudden outburst of excitement when Barnard introduced himself.

"Finally, I thought we'd die today, luck is on our side!"

"Kill the madman!"

"Kill the psycho!"

One after the other, they started yelling, pointing their hands at Ruby, who now had two giant shadow fists protruding out of his hands!

'A superhuman with super strength and these strange…shadow powers.'

It was no secret that each superhuman could wield only one superpower; never had he seen anyone with a dual superpower.

Soon, Barnard vanished from his spot as he drew closer to Ruby, who had already slipped his shadow self out. During his little training at the cave, he had found out about the shadow's keen senses, and with some experiments, he discovered that the shadow could also sense life force and that's what it was currently doing, trying to fish out where Barnard had vanished.

'Just from the way he phased through my attack, he should have some sort of invisible ability, right??'

Soon, Ruby felt a cold hand on his shoulder and without looking back he spun around and slash horizontally; however, the sword just passed through the ghostly figure there!

'This is annoying! Well since he wants to play around, I'll play as well.'

A creepy smile broke out on Ruby's face as shadows started crawling from the ground to his head. Soon, he was shrouded in shadow armor, then several hands popped out of his back. He sprayed his hands wide. And a shadowy dome enclosed the spot Barnard's ghostly body was!

"Let's see if you get out of this as well."

Sometime later, the ghostly figure flickered as Barnard's real body came into view!

"Your one hell of a super human—"

Before he could finish his sentence, Ruby already teleported to his side. He grabbed Barnard on the neck and smacked him into the ground, then another smash again before he brought out a dagger and stabbed Barnard in the ear!

Ruby's eyes went bloodshot as Barnard phased through that attack as well and escaped his grip!

'Although I can't stay longer in my ghost form, I can still use it, but it won't last long again.'

Placing his hands in his pocket, Barnard yanked out a gun.

But it wasn't any ordinary gun!

This gun was classified as an (S) rank weapon. It was in the same rank as the sword Beaumont used on him.

"Seems like you know about this gun!" Barnard suddenly gained confidence and started approaching Ruby.

In a blink, Ruby sunk into the shadows and directly popped out behind Barnard, who had already shot at the spot just as the energy bullet passed through the figure that popped out behind him.

He stared at the figure. It wasn't Ruby, but instead, it was the shadow clone!

Gripping the trigger tighter, Barnard promptly spun around, but tall shadow hands started rushing out of the surface as they grabbed his hands open in place, revealing his chest.

"Phase! Phase! Why isn't this working?! " Barnard's eyes were wide as he tried to free himself from the clutches of the shadow hands!

Then, Ruby popped out, with his real appearance. Barnard's eyes widened as he saw the creepy smile on Ruby's face!

"Hey, remember me?? I'm the boy your boss chopped his sister to…

… pieces!"
