Meeting V.I.

The liveshow finished, and the idol group walked through the halls of the entertainment building with smiles and chatter. I looked over at the group of boys who then noticed me with Mikan and Blake.

"Mikan!" One of the twins ran up to her. "Who's this?" The boy looked at me with a childish expression. He seemed happy to see me despite not even noticing who I was.

"This is your new manager, guys." Mikan looked over at me. The young boy didn't seem to be freaked out by her head one bit. In fact, none of these guys seemed to be freaked out. Why was I the only one?

"A new manager?" The singer of the group, which I found out was Sung-Ho because of his fangirls, said, shocked by the announcement.

"Yes. You're performance went smoothly tonight because of Rika, here." Mikan guided her hand toward me. "She has a skill that will help you four improve."

"Awesome!" The boy walked up to me, grabbing my hands and aggressively shook them. "Nice to meet ya, Rika! I'm Tai! That's my twin brother Kai over there." Tai pointed to the shy boy who looked like him.

"Oh, nice to meet you, Tai and Kai." I tried remembering their names.

"This here is Sung-Ho, our lead singer, and right next to him is Jake." Tai continued spitting out everyone's names. I could only hope that I would remember them all...

"Nice to meet you all." I smiled before bowing. "Yoroshiku."

"You're so cute, Rika." Tai said, making me blush a bit. What an honest boy...

"Er... Thanks?" I laughed awkwardly, wondering how to respond.

"Well, now that you four have met your new manager, I'll be off. Okay, Blake, show Rika her duties as a new manager." Mikan left the room.

"Okay." Blake bowed toward Mikan before looking at me with a clipboard in his hand. "Ms. Ito. "

"Yes?" I somehow felt uncomfortable once Mikan left. The four boys were staring at me, and it felt like Blake was judging me.

"Your first duty is to make sure the condition of the idols is perfect. After every performance, one of these boys, or all, could have possibly injuries. So it is always for the best to make sure they are in top shape." Blake explained.

Nodding my head, I first looked over at Sung-Ho, who was glaring at me. I then decided not to check out his condition first and just moved on to Tai. He seemed to be the sweetest out of the bunch.

"Tai..." I smiled at him. He smiled back. "Uh..."

I then looked back at Blake. "How am I supposed to check there condition?"

Blake the started explaining, "Lift up their arms, and then their legs. Ask them if they are feeling any uncomfortableness on their bodies."

Isn't that usually what doctors are for? I don't have a Ph.D. in anything...

"Uh, Tai." I lifted his his arm before gently squeezing it. "Does it hurt?"

"Hehe." He giggled and blushed. "No, but it tickles."

"Is that a good sign?" I looked over at Blake.

"Yes. Now next boy." He replied, pointing at Kai, who was avoiding eye contact with me, using his pen.

"Hello. Kai." I smiled at him, hoping it would make him more comfortable. "Does this hurt your arm?" I did the same thing with his arm.

All he did was shake his head.

"Okay..." I then moved onto the next guy, Sung-Ho. "Sung-Ho—"

"I'm not letting you touch me." He crossed his arms, turning his head to ignore me. I couldn't tell if he was just pretending to be the tsundere type or not...

"You must, Sung-Ho." Blake told him. "If not, you may never be able to dance again."

Hearing those words, Sung-Ho tsked before holding up his arm for me. I squeezed it a little, but he had no reaction.

"Did it hurt?" I thought I'd ask.

"Did it look like it hurt?" He answered in a snarky manner.

"Wow. Geez. I'm just trying to help you." I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Just move on, Ms. Ito." Blake commanded me. If my life weren't on the line, then I would have definitely punched Sung-Ho for sure.

"You're Jake, correct?" I lifted up the arm of the final band member.

"Yes." He answered with a serious tone. I did have to say, it was nice actually getting to see the different personalities of each band member, but something about these guys irked me. Well, not really irked, but something felt off. Like something about their personalities felt strange. They felt...2 dimensional.

"Alright. That should be good for a start." Blake started writing something down on the clip board before guiding me somewhere else. "This way, Ms. Ito."

I looked back and noticed the boys just standing there as they watched Blake and I leave. They weren't moving at all. Weird...

"Do they always do that?" I decided to ask Blake, pointing at the four boys.

"Do what?" Blake turned around, noticing the boys just standing there before smiling at me. "Oh, you don't have to worry about that, Ms. Ito. They're just doing what boys normally do."

And what the heck was that?! What did boys normally do? Stand and stare into space???

"Here." Blake walked up to a vending machine that was placed in the industry's waiting room. He placed a 100 yen coin into the machine before a small can of coffee came out. "Here you go." He handed it to me.

"Thanks. I was dying for coffee." I took a sip of it.

Blake smiled as he watched me drink. I blinked a few times before asking him, "What?"

"Nothing." He looked at my hands holding the coffee before back up at me. "I was just wondering if we met before."

"Huh?" My eyes widened. I've never been hit on before except for older women trying to hook me up with their sons. This was a first. Or... did he actually see me before? "I don't think so. I've never met you."

"Hmm?" Blake started stroking his chin. "Is that so? I swore I've known you. Your favorite color is red, right?"

How did he know that?

"Yeah."

"Because you loved strawberries since you were a child, right?" A warm smile crept on his face, causing me to smile too.

"Yeah. Wow. Mikan must have learned a lot about me, huh?" I shuddered wondering what other information she had on me.

"Oh, it must be because I was reading too many files on you, huh?" Blaked looked up at that ceiling before sighing and looking at me. "Anyway, don't drink too much coffee or you won't be able to sleep well tonight, okay? You will have a long day ahead of you."

"Okay." I grinned. "I'll sleep well."

"Good night, Rika."

"Good night, Blake."

He sure didn't feel as 2 dimensional as those other boys. I wonder why?
