After three years of marriage, Wendy Stewart was used to Michael Lucas's sarcastic remarks, his frequent threats about getting divorced, and even his indulgence of a mistress. She thought that she could bear with this her entire life, until she accidentally got pregnant with a child that Michael did not want. Finally despondent, Wendy signed the divorce agreement and left. She thought they could have parted ways forever, but Michael refused to stop looking for her after the divorce. When they met again, she was the world's top designer. Wendy was unwilling to talk, and Michael did not force her to. He put his head back down and hugged her waist as he usually did. But tonight, Michael could feel Wendy's resistance.
He did not want to force her, and so he quietly pulled his arm back.
Wendy was feeling groggy for quite a while before she finally fell asleep. But once asleep, she started to dream.
In her dream, Michael was very affectionate with another woman in the office while Wendy was kneeling in front of them, begging them to spare her and also let her children go.
Michael smiled affectionately at the other woman, but when he turned around to look at Wendy, he had a bloody knife in his hand.
His mouth was moving as if he was saying something, but Wendy could not hear his words. Wendy could feel strongly that Michael wanted to use that knife to kill her and her children.
She begged him again and again for mercy, but Michael would not change his mind.
