40. To the lighthouse

Shivani spent the night in the living area of her mother's cottage, sleeping on the couch while Ray layed beside her, fast asleep on the water matters, magically summoned by her mother.

Sleeping would be a far fantasised word as, whole night, all she could think of was, why? What did she do to take the fall into this pit of unimaginable instances?

As it turned out, Mendendo was her mother's romantic partner and along with that, a werewolf.

Not that she never dreamt of having her own werewolf as kid, it's just that, she never imagined things would take such bad turn that desire for a normal life would become distant thought.

"Shivani?" Ray spoke up from his mattress on the floor.

"Huh?"

"You are awake?" He lifted up his head to see Shivani, playing with her red hairs, that almost looked black under the dim yellow lights.
