Chapter sixteen

" Amanda was still in her class. She was practicing her role before one of the student rushed to her.

" Amanda, Amanda, there's a boy outside arguing with our lecturer " the girl said.

" what? " Amanda yelled and rushed outside. " who is that crazy guy that... " she paused after seeing Fabian arguing with the lecturer.

" how can they stay overnight here?, do they have food ?, or are you guys giving them food and water?, are they sleeping well?, Amanda is not the strong type. She seems so but not. She's very weak " Fabian yelled at the lecturers face.

" so you don't want this children to progress in their acting career? " the lecturer asked.

" I want them to. But they've been here overnight and they are still here "

" what department are you from? "

" pure and industrial chemistry " he replied.

" oh so you want to be a scientist ?"

" yes. We don't stay overnight here. But I will if necessary "

" what about this students?, they are staying here today because it's necessary "

" but some of them here are weak. Example Amanda "

" ooo so all this is because of Amanda. She is my best one here. I was about to give her a live because she worked hard till this morning " the lecturer smiled.

" oh okay then let's go Aman " Fabian said going to drag her along.

" you like her? " the lecturer whispered in his Fabian's ear.

" she's my best friend " he corrected. He dragged Amanda as they left the school. Amanda couldn't stop herself from smiling. She smiled all the way.

" Fabian " she called. Fabian turned to her.

" why did you drag me out " she asked trying to take in her smile.

" I have money million in my account. I want to buy you ice cream " he replied still holding her left hand, but tighter.

" okay, let's go " she yelled then started running towards the road side, removing her hand off Fabian's grip. Fabian just stared at his hand, he smiled then followed her.

Meanwhile, Kelly, Praise, Collins and Justin were inside a cafe, drinking.

" he took Amanda out? " Praise yelled.

" yes. He even said he was gonna give Amanda his money " Collins said taking a sip from his drink. Kelly and Justin were drinking from one glass, staring at each other.

" I hope Kelly knows that we're still in year one. The relationship is moving too fast" Praise said still staring at Collins.

" na love " Collins said then they both burst into laughter.

" abeg leave us make we love ( please leave us let's love) " Justin said then Praise and Collins laughed even louder.

" dey love well well ( love well )" Praise said.

" Praise, I get girl o. I fit call her, she go come. Better call your own, make we shame them " Collins said holding his phone. Praise hissed, she picked her drink the took a sip from the strew before removing it. She then started drinking from the glass.

Fabian escorted Amanda to the girls campus gate. They said they goodbye and goodnight before they turned to their various places.

Amanda enterted the room holding two selofins. one in each of her hands.

" Amanda has brought something for us" Praise sang as she rushed to Amanda. She took the selofins from Amanda then went back to the couch. Kelly opened one and saw three shawama. Praise opened the other one and saw three medium sized plate of ice cream.

" we fit finish am? ( can we finish it?) " Kelly asked worried.

" wetin dey do you?, if you no fit finish am tell us, we go finish am from you ( what's wrong with you?, if you can't finish it tell us, we can help you )" Praise rushed to say.

" nor mind am ( don't mind her) Amanda said then hissed. Each of them picked on ice cream and one shawama.

" see evening food ooo ( take a look at our dinner) Amanda said smiling.

" this is not your first time eating this, but why are you behaving like... "

" because Fabian bought it for me" Amanda said then kissed her shawama.

" you nor allow me talk finish ( I didn't let me finish )" Praise smirked. "Abeg make I carry my own go outside make there see am ( I should take mine outside do they would see it) " Praise stood up.

" there go beg you oo ( they are gonna beg you for it) " Amanda said putting a spoon of ice cream in her mouth.

" na be wetin I want. I go con give them small. So when I want something, there go say ah no be Praise give me ice cream that time ( that's what I want. Then I will give them. So when I want something, they will be like wasn't Praise the one that gave us ice cream that time)" Praise said.

" truth " Amanda agreed. Praise put her ice cream and shawama inside the selofins. She hold the food in one hand then pick a white plastic chair. She sat in front of the first room in the campus so people would see her well. If they ask her why didn't she eat inside her room, she would say "Kelly boiled rice and the rice got burned. Right now, the room is smoking. Amanda and Kelly are managing it but I can't ".

" the ice cream sweet o ( the ice cream is delicious) " Justin said putting a spoon of ice cream in his mouth.

" so did you tell Amanda that you like her?) Collins asked eating his shawama.

" no" Fabian replied.

" what did you guys do? " Justin asked curious.

" you nor see our pictures for my status? ( didn't you see our pictures in my status ( whatsapp status)?)" Fabian asked.

" I want to know"
