Chapter – 1 Transmigration, System, Wishes, and Limitations

"That's weird… where am I?" I muttered, looking at my surrounding in a daze.

After a while of analyzing my surroundings, which consisted of a beach, an ocean as far as my eyes could see, and green vegetation on my other side that is probably a deep forest filled with wild animals, looking at all of this, I couldn't help but mutter in confusion "The last thing I remember is dying because of stage IV cancer… is this afterlife or something… but shouldn't heaven be filled with white and golden clouds and have all those angels… how could it looks like the shore of an island?"

As I was confused about what was going on… suddenly, a peculiar sound sounded in my head.

[Ding!]

"Huh… what was that?!" I muttered, looking around to find the source of the sound but I found nothing that would produce such a sound, it was like a notification from my cell phone, and even when I checked the pockets of my trousers, I found nothing, "The hell is going on here?!"

[Loading… 1%.... 5%.... 17%.... 29%.... 47…. 68…. 85%.... 100%]

"??" I freaked out as I listened to this strange loading sound, "Am I hallucinating or something?" I couldn't see anything, just hearing sounds… "Have I gone crazy because of reading too many Manga, Light Novels, Fanfics, and watching too much Anime??"

I didn't get any answer to my question and the strange sound continued.

[System Online: Conversation Mode Activating in… 3… 2… 1]

[Greetings Host, I will be your assistant system on this adventure of yours, and I congratulate you on your successful Transmigration!]

"Uh… who was that??" I asked, really unable to figure out what the hell is going on.

[Huh? Why are you acting so strangely host? Did something happen?]

"Something happens? Are you seriously asking me such an obvious question in such a confused manner? I don't understand a thing that's going on!

Just who are you? Why can't I see you? Where are all these sounds coming from? Where am I? Is this hell, heaven, or the afterlife? Just what the hell is going on!" I asked so many things at once.

[...] there was no sound from the other end, whosoever was speaking seemed to have gone silent, and only after a while did the same voice come again, but this time, rather than speaking to me, it was talking to itself, [Is it possible there was some problem during the Transmigration?]

"Transmigration? What are you talking about? Have I reincarnated or something?" I asked again.

[It appears that's the case.] the voice nodded to itself, then said [Host I just checked your memories, it seems that there was a glitch in the Transmigration System, so your memories of meeting Samsara have disappeared, but fear not, I will explain everything to you once again.]

'Glitch? Memory Loss? Samsara? Transmigration System?' By now, I obviously understand that something abnormal has happened to me following my death, and I waited for the System's explanation.

[So, it's like this, you died from stage IV Cancer, and met Samsara in the afterlife. Samsara saw that you wanted to live more and live a better life compared to your previous one, so she presented you with the option of Transmigration with memories.

You readily accepted her offer.

You drew a lottery lot to select the world you will be living your next life in.

The world came out to be One Piece.

After the world was selected, you drew the lot for the power that you will get in the world.

In the draw, you got a mediocre helpful system that is neither too broken, nor too shabby.

And so here we are.]

It took a while for me to process all that this so-called 'System' said, I muttered, "Damn… so that means I reincarnated, or better yet, transmigrated to the One Piece World… is that for real…?"

[Yes… that's the case.] System nodded in confirmation.

Although such a situation is too bizarre, being an Otaku, I was able to accept all this information.

"So… I am in One Piece World?" I muttered to myself in realization and as I processed this fact once again, a smile appeared on my face, "So, I am in the One Piece World!" As an avid fan of the One Piece manga, how could I not be excited upon learning that I am in the One Piece World? Pirates, Navy, Bounty Hunters, Devil Fruits, Haki, adventure, piracy, food, alcohol, woman… this world has so much to offer! The more I realized that I am in the One Piece world the more I shouted, "I am in the One Piece World!" I shouted at the top of my lungs, "I AM IN THE ONE PIECE WORLD!" I shouted again… "Hell yeah, this is awesome!"

After all that shouting out of excitement, I finally calmed down and asked the million berries question, "So, System… what is the current timeline? In which era am I in?" To me it didn't really matter which era I am in, it doesn't matter if I am in Rock's era, Roger's era, Whitebeard's Era, Four Emperor's Era, Luffy's Era, or some other era… being in cannon timeline would surely help plan out things, however, even if I am in some bizarre timeline, it wouldn't stop me from doing what I want to do!

[Today is, 02, May 1507 of the Age of Sea Circle] system answered.

"May 1507… If I remember correctly, the Great Era of Pirates began in the year 1501, and Luffy went to sea in May 1522… that means I am 15 years earlier than cannon! Good, that means I can do a lot by the time Luffy sets sail… perhaps I might even be able to find the treasure One Piece before he even sets sail!" I muttered in excitement, "Of course, what I am truly interested in is not the One Piece or the title of the Pirate King, the thing I am truly interested in doing is spreading chaos… I am going to fill this world in chaos and upheaval!"

Setting my goal, I asked the system, "System, what are you capable of… you stated that you are neither too broken, nor too shabby, so can you elaborate on what are your abilities?"

[Glad that you asked!] muttered system, then explained, [I am not too powerful, but I am not so useless either… What I am capable of is giving you 10 wishes.]

I was taken aback, and questioned, "10 wishes… does that mean I can ask for anything and you will grant me that ten times?"

[No, that's not the case, if I had the power to grant any wish that you ask, and that too ten times, then I would be broken beyond limit… but that's not the case here… what I can grant to you is bound by limitation.]

I asked curiously, "Mind explaining?"

[Sure… My limitations are as follows:

Limitation 1: I can only grant 1 wish in 1 year… which means you can't ask for more than one thing at once. And the number of wishes I can grant is limited to 10 in total.

Limitation 2: While I can grant you abilities, I can not grant raw power. That is something you will have to attain yourself. Note that the ability that you will obtain will be as if freshly obtained, and not at their maximum. In easy words, I can't make you as strong as Edward Newgate or Gol D. Roger, however, I can give you abilities that might help you reach that height should you work hard to reach such heights.

Limitation 3: At the same time, you can not make more than 3 wishes to obtain abilities.

Limitation 4: I can not grant you weapons, and I can not grant you Devil Fruits either.

Limitation 5: While I can help you take the Devil Fruit ability of others, you will only be able to take away the ability of the ones you personally killed with your hands.

Limitation 6: At the same time, you can not have more than one Devil Fruit Ability unless you have the Dark-Dark Fruit as that goes against the laws of this world.

Limitation 7: You can not make more than one wish to obtain abilities from the people outside of the One Piece World.

Limitation 8: While I can help you summon characters from other Anime worlds, the strength of those characters will never cross the ceiling of this world and they won't be summoned in their strongest state, meaning they will have to train and grow strong. At the same time, their powers will also adapt to the power system of this world. This also means that the characters whose powers can not adapt to the power system of this world can not be summoned!

Limitation 9: I can not summon more than five characters outside of this world.

Limitation 10: While I can revive characters, that character can not be too major or the ones who left a deep impact on this world while alive and the ones whom a major population of this world knows. That means while I can revive characters like Don Quixote Rosinante, and Bell-mère because they did not leave a deep impression on many people, I can not revive characters like Oden, Noland, Rocks D. Xebec, and Gol D. Roger because left a deep impact on a very large population while they were alive.

And lastly…

Limitation 10: You have to make all the wishes before entering the Grand Line… once you enter the Grand Line, no matter how many wishes you have left, they will become null.

As long as you are asking within these 10 limitations, I can fulfill your 10 wishes.]

"I see… I get the gist of it." I muttered in understanding, and said, "That means as long as it is nothing too outrageous, my wish can be fulfilled… and seeing that there is the only time I can wish for an ability outside of the One Piece World… I will have to be very careful in my choice…

But this is quite problematic that I have to make all my wishes before entering the Grand Line… doesn't that mean I can't enter the Grand Line for the next 10 years?"

The System nodded, [Yes, the tenth limitation is made to protect the original protagonist's chance.]

After asking a few more questions that the system quickly answered, and after that, I muttered in understanding, "I see." Then after deeply thinking about it, I asked the system, "In that case, I would like to make my first wish…"

[Alright then… make your wish.] nodded system, and beckoned me to continue.

[I would like to inherit the abilities and powers of Ban, the Fox Sin of Greed from Nanatsu no Taizai, which include both Immortality––that he gained from drinking the Fountain of Youth of the Fairy Forest––and Snatch.]

[...] After a while of silence, the system said, [Granted]

I nodded, "Alright." And I waited for the changes, however, I didn't feel anything. Confused, I asked System, [System, are you sure that I have got it, I don't feel a thing.]

[Regardless of whether you feel any changes in your body or not, you have gained those abilities… if you want to confirm, just check your status.]

I asked, not sure how to do that, [Alright, and how do I do that?]

[Just open the system panel, and see the details.] answered system, and added, [To open the System Panel, just say System Panel.]

[Alright!] I nodded, then said [System Panel]

Immediately as I said this instruction, a translucent window appeared in front of my eyes, it showed a few details, such as; name, age, gender, Tribe, occupation, and skills, in the following manner.

[Ooh… I really seem to have obtained Immortality and Snatch.] I exclaimed in surprise, and then I looked at other details that were filled with question marks and couldn't help but ask the System, [Hey, system, why are my name, age, Tribe, and occupation filled with question marks?]

System answered, [That's because they haven't been set yet, you have to set them.]

I asked, [Oh, okay… how do I set them?]

System answered, [Just click on the question mark, as you do that a new window will pop up, just fill in the details on that pop-up window and you will be good to go.]

Looking at my status board, suddenly a doubt came to my mind, [Okay, and one more question since I have obtained Ban's immortality, does that mean I won't age as well? What happens if I set my age to an 8-year-old kid, will I always remain a kid?]

System answered my doubt, [Your aging will stop after you physically become an adult, that is around the age of 18 to 19… so you don't have to worry about the problem of age, even if you set it to a kid, your body will grow until you become an adult. Also, you don't have to set the occupation, it will change depending upon what path you take when you leave this island.]

[Alright then… here goes nothing!] I muttered and got to work.

Setting these details didn't take too long as I didn't have to think too much, after making all the changes, my Status looked like this.

'From here on my name is Fox D. Ban, I gotta have a D in my name… that's customary!

I chose to set my age to 12, this will give me quite a few years as a child and allow me to build a solid foundation while I am still a child.

As for the tribe human, well, I could have set it to some other tribe as that would have granted me some advantage like if I had chosen Mink, I could control Lightning and also have a Sulong form, if I had chosen Mer-folk, I would have base strength ten times that of normal humans, I would be able to survive in water and also control water to some extent, and if I had chosen Lunarian, I would have the ability to fly with black wings and also have the ability to control fire along with resistance to pain, but upon rethinking it for a while, I chose to go with the human race.

After all, generally, the people standing at the peak of the world are humans. Moreover, I don't want to ruin my appearance, I have already checked, and my current appearance is that of Ban too, I can't imagine how Ban would look as a member of another tribe and not a human… so the tribe Human was my final choice.'

As I was done with all that, System's voice sounded, [Perfect, almost everything has been taken care of, now you can live your life in the One Piece World.]

[Yes] I nodded and looked at the horizon with a passionate expression, "One day, I will conquer all that!"

Hey guys, this is the first chapter of this One Piece fanfic that I have started to write. There are a few things that I am going to make clear at the start:

1. The crew has been decided, and most likely, there won't be any changes to it, of course, the readers are welcome to make suggestion for other members along with their role, if I like the suggestion, I might make changes to the crew.

2. This fanfic is going to be slow, also, the updates will be few as I don't have a lot of time on me to delve all my attention to this fanfic.

3. Please be a healthy reader who would make useful suggestion to make the story better, and please avoid toxic comments. I have a set view of One Piece world, and there is a strong possibility that our views differ, there's no need to argue over different views.
