(The Cullen's House - Same Day)
-Carlisle's POV-
I just came back from the hospital. I entered the living room and saw my family enjoying themselves, cuddling and chatting together as they usually do. Esme approached me and asked how my day was.
"How was your day today?" she lightly hugged me and asked.
"It was a bit busy, but everything is fine," I smiled and lightly kissed her forehead.
I turned my attention towards my family. Emmett and Rosalie were cuddling together on the sofa, while Jasper and Thea were hugging and chatting lovingly. Jasper found Thea in Greece while we were traveling together in 1968. He saved her from drowning and turned her into a vampire. She has a useful gift of healing any wounds and putting limbs back together. However, she can only use her gift once a week and cannot bring back the dead, as we tested it before on a squirrel.
Then there's Edward, my first-born vampire in the family, playing the piano as usual. He hasn't found a mate yet. And lastly, there's Alice. She always seems to be happy, cheerful, and energetic, never showing sadness. But deep down, we know that she feels lonely and longs for a mate, never losing hope that one day she'll finally find one.
"Well... isn't it time for a hunt?" I said, and everyone just smiled and smirked. We immediately went deep into the woods.
-Alice's POV-
As we came back from a hunt, everyone immediately cuddled up with their mates, except for Edward and me. I picked up a vase and went back to the living room, where I saw Edward playing the piano as usual. I felt jealous of my other family members. But suddenly, I had a vision and dropped the vase, startling everyone in the room.
"Alice!... Describe your vision slowly," Carlisle and Esme calmed me down, and I began describing my vision.
I saw a young woman holding hands with Edward. She is petite, with a height of roughly 5'4, and has a very translucent, pale complexion. She has thick, long brown hair, a wide forehead, and a widow's peak. Her eyes are chocolate brown and widely spaced. Overall, she is a natural beauty. But before I could explain further, I had another vision.
"I-I had another vision, and this time it's two different visions," I said, and everyone had a questioning and confused gaze.
"Please describe them to us," Carlisle said, and I began another explanation.
In the first vision, I was on a cliff surrounded by trees with pink-colored leaves. It was devastatingly beautiful. Then I saw a man with white skin, but not too white, a well-built body, and long black hair darker than the night, reaching his shoulders. He was standing at the end of the cliff, staring at the beautiful moon. He was 6'3 tall (190 cm), wearing a black robe with gold accents on its sides and something written on its back, but I couldn't understand what was written. He had his hands behind his back. I saw his lonely back, felt his burden, and felt that he carries the weight of the whole world on his shoulders.
I approached him, and he turned towards me, smiling. I saw his glistening crimson eyes staring at me. At that moment, I felt that all his burden suddenly disappeared and was replaced by a warm feeling towards me. I was smiling back at him and was about to say something, but he interrupted me. "I'm sorry, my love... but you don't belong here." After that, the vision suddenly ended.
"..."
I saw everyone's confused faces, and no one said anything. I could see that Edward seemed anxious, but I didn't know what was on his mind. So I smiled excitedly and continued with my explanation.
In the last vision, I saw the same person, but this time, I saw him, me, and everyone gathering in the living room. We were singing, dancing, and celebrating something. At the end of the day, we all seemed happy. I saw everyone smiling widely, and this time, Edward was smiling slightly too.
"We're still confused about the first vision, but I'm happy that you both finally met your mates," Carlisle said.
"Yes, it doesn't matter as long as at the end of the day, we're all happy," Esme said, smiling, followed by Jasper and Thea.
"Haha... it seems like we have to celebrate this wonderful news tonight!" Emmett said while Rosalie rolled her eyes.
"..." Edward stayed silent, seemingly thinking about something.
-Edward's POV-
I was playing the piano after the hunt when suddenly Alice had a vision, and I read her mind. I saw myself and a girl holding hands,
She's extremely beautiful to me. But at the same time, I feel sad because I don't want her to be like me, a heartless monster.
I was about to say what was in my mind to my family, but Alice had another vision. But this time, I can't read her mind. There seems to be something blocking my ability. This is the first time that my ability doesn't work. I tried again, but it didn't work as well.
I was about to give up, but Alice had another vision. I tried to read her mind and this time it worked. I saw a man and Alice by his side while we enjoyed each other's company with our mates as we sang and danced. I slightly smiled and thought, 'As long as we're safe and happy, anything else doesn't matter to me.'
After everyone expressed their thoughts, I finally said what was in my mind.
"I-I don't want my mate to turn into something like me. I think we should avoid them and leave them alone," I said, and immediately everyone began to think about what I said.
"I don't care about what you said! You can do whatever you want with yours, but I'll do whatever I want with mine," Alice said angrily and went to her room.
Everyone rolled their eyes. Carlisle and Esme approached me, and he said to me that I shouldn't make a rushed decision because this was the time that Alice and I finally found our mates.

(Mikael's House - Present Time)
-MC POV-
I was sitting on the sofa and drinking a cup of tea while looking at the money that I'd got from robbing criminals for the past 2 days. I'm honestly happy yet disappointed at the same time because the amount of money that I got was not the amount that I was expecting.
"Sigh, only $2,000," I rubbed my temples and decided to buy the guitar and save the rest in the bank.
I immediately went out of the house, picked up my bike from the garage, and took off to the music store.
(At the music store)
I entered the store and went to the clerk.
"Hey, how are you, man? Do you still have the guitar that I asked you to keep for me a couple of days ago?"
Clerk: "Yeah, I'm fine, thanks. And of course, I still have it. Wait here for a moment."
The clerk went to take the guitar, and after a minute, he came back with the guitar, the maintenance kit, and the case.
Clerk: "Here, try it first."
I picked up the guitar and did a little bit of fingerstyle. The clerk was quite surprised, but I just shrugged it off.
"Alright, everything is fine. And here's the money."
I handed him a thousand dollars, and he said, "Pleasure doing business with you, and I hope you become a great musician."
I just smiled and walked out of the store. I went to the bank next to store the rest of my money and only kept $200 for pocket money. After that, I went home and prepared for tomorrow because school starts tomorrow.
-Cullen's POV-
Alice can be seen in her room painting a man while smiling the whole time. "I can't wait to meet him tomorrow!" she said excitedly, giggling.
The rest of the family can be seen smiling and chuckling as well, except Edward. He seemed to be having internal conflicts with himself.
