CHP 5 : SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST

Yesterday was really hectic for our boys. In just two days of entering highschool they faced so much s**t. But they somehow got out of it.

....but what next?...

7:35 AM.

STREET 7.

Our trio was walking towards school. While going to school they were discussing about yesterday's incident.

"Man yesterday was hella f**ked up. We went through so much s**t and explaing the wounds and bruises to my mom was the worst part. I told them that I, Ken and Daniel were riding a friends motorcycle together and we all had a little accident. Instead of going to a doctor, we went to the school infirmary, treated our wounds and took some rest their that's why we got late...man she still lectured me. And asked me a whole lotta questions." said Jake.

"Holy s**t!! Even I gave the same reason. Daniel don't tell me you too....." said Ken.

"Nah, my parents were out for some reunion of their school friends. Apparently, my mom and dad were in the same highschool, so I just cooked my food, ate it, did some studies and slept. I was deep asleep when my parents came. But no wonder you guys gave the same reason. Evil minds, think alike." replied Daniel.

All chuckled. By the time Daniel said this they all had entered school's lobby. But the school's atmosphere was pretty dense. Everyone was looking at our trio like they saw a freakin' beast. They all were scared. Even the seniors. The trio was really confused by this. They entered the classroom. Their classmates were too scared.

It was now recess.

10:40 AM.

SCHOOL CANTEEN.

"Where's Jake?" asked Daniel.

"Dunno" replied Ken.

Meanwhile Jake entered the canteen and came near Ken and Daniel and sat beside them.

"Guys, I just asked a few guys why was everyone scared of us. They freezed after seeing me but later they cooled down and told me that apparently many of our classmates, seniors and juniors (middle schoolers) saw us with the Abandoned's members. They all thought we messed up and we were done for. But the students who stayed back for club activities saw Jason and Ryan dropping us here. So they thought we are acquainted with Abandoned. This news spread like wildfire in the whole school." said Jake.

"Oh...so that's why this whole table is empty and only we are the ones sitting here." said Daniel.

"Shall we mess up a little with these guys?" asked Ken.

"Then what's the difference between us and those bullies?" replied Daniel.

Ken realized his mistake and said sorry.

"But thank God, no one came to us to give us their food like in those manhwas." said Jake with a smile. But just then,"EXCUSE ME SIR! PLEASE ACCEPT OUR FOOD!!!" said a group of students.

The trio was awestruck.

"Hehehehe, no need of doing this. Please enjoy your food. You can also sit here." said Daniel.

"OK SIR!" said those guys.

Meanwhile, a bunch of guys entered the canteen. Among those guys a person came forward and said (in a loud voice) "I AM MASAMURA SHIN, THE HEAD OF THE JUDO CLUB !!!!!!! I INVITE YOU TO JOIN OUR CLUB SIR!!!!!!!"

The trio was startled by this sudden appearance. Jake asked Daniel in a low voice," What is this guy talkin' about? Why is he here to invite us? Why is he calling us sir?."

"Maybe he heard that we are associated with  Abandoned's Jason so he thought that we must be f**king strong. That's why he is inviting us." whispered Daniel.

Meanwhile another group of guys came in. Again a guy came forward and said (in a loud voice) "I AM MICHEAL JONES, THE HEAD OF THE BOXING CLUB !!!!!!! I INVITE YOU TO JOIN OUR CLUB SIR!!!!!!!"

Just like this almost all the combat sports clubs gathered in the canteen. They all started arguing. Everyone wanted the trio to be in their club. Between this ruckus, the trio ran away from canteen and went to their classroom. The clubs were about to start a brawl in the canteen. The principal had to get into the matter. Soon the matter was settled.

1:56 PM.

SCHOOL LOBBY.

The school had left. The trio were in the lobby walking to the gate. Suddenly Daniel took a different turn.

"Aye, Dany! The exit's here. Where you goin'? Hit your head or something?" asked Jake.

"I am going to join boxing club guys." said Daniel.

"For what? Why all of a sudden?" asked Jake.

"Guys, I had a realization. Remember I told you that if any problem occurs, if we get into some deep s**t, we won't run away from it but just saying this won't cut it. Having only the sprit isn't enough. We gotta get stronger or we'll be killed. It's 'SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST'. If you don't grow stronger, adapt with the surroundings, you will be crushed by a bigger predator." said Daniel.

"But why boxing. Why not karate?", asked Jake.

"I don't know. I just saw Jason that day and I was fascinated. Maybe karate isn't suited for me." said Daniel.

"Well then, count me in. But will you be able to handle studies and this together?" said Jake.

"Think for yourself a**hole. I am Mr. Perfect." said Daniel.

"HAHAHA....I have abandoned studies long ago or studies abandoned me I should say." said Jake.

"Guess, even I gotta join the karate club and resume training. But don't you two dare drop out!!" said Ken.

"We won't this time!!!" replied Jake and Daniel.
