CHP 6 : CRAVING

After the day of incident Daniel and Jake took up boxing. Ken too continued his karate training.

Daniel and Jake became the best boxers in their club in just one and a half month. This was because of their athletic abilities and well-developed physiques. Daniel's strong point was his amazing footwork, he was too fast on his feet while Jake's strong point was his offence, his punches were hella strong. Everyone was impressed by their skills.

2:36 PM

14TH FEB, 20XX.

BOXING CLUB.

NEW DAWN HIGHSCHOOL.



Daniel was having a friendly bout with a ERIC  SHANE of L .WARREN'S HIGHSCHOOL. Eric was an emerging rookie who had a record of 4-0. The boxing club members from both the schools all gathered to see this match. But to their surprise the match was over in just one minute.

Eric from L.W high went all out from the beginning. He threw a cross but stopped midway and threw a jab but Daniel avoided it with reflex. Eric took a few steps back and mantained a distance. Daniel swiftly got close to Eric and gave a right uppercut to his chin. Eric was knocked out and thus the match ended. Everyone cheered for Daniel. Jake was too happy to see this. But this was the first and last match of the day as the 1st unit tests were coming up (AUTHOR'S NOTE - If you readers have a different exam schedule then lemme explain this one. In this story there will be 4 exams and each will happen in 2 to 3 months. Prolly at the end of the last month of every group. Actually I had this schedule previously.

Jan - Feb : 1st unit test - difficulty level - left handman of main boss

March - May : 1st semester or mid-term - difficulty level - Main boss's trump card

The month of June is for vacations

July - Aug : 2nd unit test - difficulty level - right handman of main boss

Sept - Nov : 2nd semester or Finals - difficulty level - main boss.

The month of Dec is for vactions)

The L.W high left after this bout.

"I think Jake and Danny can win the upcoming inter-school boxing championship; they adapted to boxing real quickly, in every department they beat their peers, may it be offence, defence, endurance and much more." said the boxing's coach. The manager said, "Yeah. Ever since I joined as a manager I haven't seen such talent in the past 3 years. But why don't you let them fight each other? We can know that way who is stronger or I should say I personally want to see who's the stronger one ."

"Yeah but they still are not equally strong. They may have their strong points but that's the problem here. Daniel's footwork is phenomenal but Jake's is not good enough and Jake's punches are strong but Daniel's are not as good as Jake's. Even at this point I can't determine who's the strongest. I want them to be on equal footing with each other. It's a good thing that they belong to the same weight class .I want to see their epic fight, I am sure it will be thrilling but I have to wait a little longer." said Coach.

"But it's not like they will be equally strong. One might turn out to be weaker than other." said the manager.

"This is just my wish and I will try my best to make it come true." said the Coach.

"As expected from the National level champion. I guess that thrill is what you people crave for." said the Manager.

"Okay boys pack up and leave. Units are coming up. Study well and score good." said Coach.

Daniel and Jake left the gym.

3:04 PM.

SCHOOL GROUND

"Man, you went from 0 to 100 real quick. You went from a wimpy nerd to a badass fighter." said Jake.

"You too man." said Daniel."Let's get Ken and go to Pizzeria."

"He already got there. He had no training today." said Jake.

But to their surprise, as they reached school gate, they saw Jason and Ryan waiting outside. They were startled.

"Hi guys! How are you?" asked Jason.

"H-hi..."said both

"Where's that Karate kid?" asked Ryan.

"He..he is at our go-to food corner." said Jake.

"Well then, let's go there and yes, if we eat anything you are gonna pay our bills." said Ryan.

"Ha... Why we?" asked Jake.

"Shut up Ryan. (looking at Jake and Daniel) You guys don't pay attention to him and no need to pay.....you can still pay if you want, hehehe." said Jason.

The four started walking towards the food corner.

"Why did you guys come to meet us?" asked Daniel.

"I will tell you all together." said Jason.

3:27 PM.

PIZZERIA

They reached the food corner. They entered and saw Ken in a corner. Ken too saw Jake and Daniel but didn't see the other two

(Waving hand) "Hey Jake, Dani.....el. Why are these guys with you?" said Ken.

"Dunno" said Jake.

They all sat on a one table. Facing each other. The trio was sitting on one side facing Jason and Ryan.

"Will you tell us now why u came to meet us?" asked Daniel.

"The thing is that we are fighting a gang from another city named 'MIZUCHI' two days from now. An emerging gang of thugs which is involved in extortion, drugs and much more. Apparently they wanted to take over X-city by defeating our gang but you know what our FAMILY does. We can't let them run loose. So Adam told me to ask you guys if you want to come with us. You can fight as well if you want but it's totally upto you. We won't force you to come along." said Jason.

If our three boys were the trio before entering highschool they would have immediately denied but ...

"Yes!!! We will come!" said the trio.

The trio was not a bit hesitated to say 'yes'. Ever since they fought Abandoned and started boxing they craved for fighting, they started to like it.

"Well then boys! At 9 pm on wednesday near your schools gate, Marco and one more guy will come to pick you up be ready!" said Jason.

"Guys, this will be good chance to test our strength. No bull**** rules, no protective guards, no time limit. This is gonna be lit." said Ken.

"There's no going back now!" said Daniel.
