Alastair waited for Samantha to fall asleep before he returned to check Calix's condition. Even though he already knew what his physical state was, he still had to make sure that the young man was fine and in good health for the time being.
Samantha's words kept reeling in his and he frowned slightly. Calix's condition had turned for the worse suddenly and nobody among them had been prepared for it.
'In that case, I wonder how Eleanor and Killian are. Are their conditions serious too?' He thought as he approached the room where Calix was staying. 'Why is Duke Zale not back yet?'
Alastair was so lost in his thoughts that he did not realize he was already inside the room and the guards were bowing at him, waiting for his acknowledgment.
"Your Highness, this is a miracle." The old physician shouted, thrilled on seeing the young man now out of danger. "I am yet to believe that we were able to remove the poison from his body."
