Divine Phoenix Imperial Palace.
"What is this place?"
In one of the rooms, a youth sitting on a canopy bed engraved with an ancient Chinese calligraphy motif muttered.
Lifting his hands, he began to rub both of his drowsy eyes intending to wake up from his dream.
When he reopened his eyes which were much clearer, the vision before him, however, did not change in the slightest.
He was in the same room with an unknown origin.
*Gulp*
A gulp could be audible in the room.
With trembling hands, the youth quickly got hold of the golden curtain of the bed which was swaying due to the wind.
"H-How can this be possible?!" He couldn't help but ask himself in a quivering voice.
What he held in his hand was a hand-woven curtain. If this was before, he would have thought that this glistening curtain was machine-made. But when he noticed the fine craft, he was certain that this cannot be done with low ability but an obvious expert.
If he tried, he was sure to sell it for not less than a million yuan.
How can a casual thing in his room be worth so much?
Climbing out of the bed, his eyes darted at every nook and corner of the room. After a very thorough observation, he was sure that he was in some kind of an ancient luxury room with even more luxury items nothing short of heaven.
Where on earth was he?
Wait... Was he even on earth?
*Gulp*
When the thought crossed his mind, the youth could only gulp once more.
Taking deep breaths, he began to calm himself down.
After a while, when he finally stabilized his condition, he took light steps and arrived before a mirror.
When his eyes landed on his own appearance, he was immediately startled. He was wearing a golden robe with a phoenix emblem engraved on it. He had jet-black hair, tied on top of his head with a few strands of hair flowing down his back.
But what startled him was his sharply outlined features which seemed much handsome than he was before. He looked more refined than when he was on Earth.
His previous plain body was now filled with adequate bulging but well-toned muscles which gave him the feeling that he could just punch a hole through the wall.
He need not touch to feel how smooth his skin actually was.
'Why do I feel oddly familiar with what is happening right now?' he thought.
The more he thought of his present situation, the more strange he felt.
The youth was called Feng Xiluo. He was a student who in his spare time, was used to reading many web novels. The night before, he continued to skim through various web novels. But not finding one to his interest, he discontentedly returned back to sleep.
Before he knew the reason, he was here.
As Feng Xiluo was deeply pondering over what happened, his body shook as if an electric current passed through him.
"Ah.."
With a sharp cry, Feng Xiluo squat down shutting his eyes.
In a fraction of a second, distinct images flashed through his mind which seemed to be the locked memories of the previous owner of the body.
Although they were not his memories, each of them was clearly imprinted in his mind. It was like he had just received his memories of his past life back.
When the pain began to recede, Feng Xiluo slowly stood up catching his breath.
Instead of feeling relieved, a sense of crisis washed over him.
The world he was currently in was 'Against the Gods'. As the title implied, it was the story of a cultivator with cheats who opposed the Gods themselves. An existence feared and aided by the heavens. He was someone whose plot armor knew no bounds.
Even if he was at his last breath, he would continue to miraculously live on. And, of course, there would be countless female leads in his harem who somehow coexist together. Wherever he goes, there would be many young masters who would get stepped on by him. Obviously, played to death.
'Damn!' As Feng Xiluo continued to recall the events of the 'plot', he couldn't help but curse in his mind.
Well... It was not bad if it was just that!
Not only the person who provokes the Protagonist gets killed but even the entire clan wasn't spared!
All the offspring including toddlers would be slaughtered by the Protagonist!
Even though it was meant that the Protagonist was indeed too cautious, Feng Xiluo couldn't bear to picture his ruthlessness.
The original Feng Xiluo's destined death would be the best example.
Did Feng Xiluo ever offend the Protagonist?
He never did.
Did he ever mean personal harm to him?
He didn't really.
The original Feng Xiluo only had filial piety. Though he loved his sister more than a brother, he never really made trouble with the Protagonist himself.
But, how did he end up?
It was a fate worse than hell.
Why?
He was the 14th Prince of the Divine Phoenix Empire, son of the emperor Feng Hengkong. That's it.
Then, what about Feng Hengkong who was the real trouble-maker?
When Feng Xiluo's sister Feng Xue'er didn't want the Protagonist to kill her father, he actually obliged.
What the hell!
Was his existence just to serve as cannon fodder?
Was he not even worthy to be a Villain?
Feng Xiluo, who shared the same name as the cannon fodder, when he read this part, was clearly enraged. But he insisted on reading it.
It ended up as an immense regret thereafter.
Despair.
It was nothing short of Despair.
As the plot progressed, the Protagonist left the planet in order to chase after a female-lead leaving behind the rest. In fact, in more than half of the book, the female leads go missing. A certain female lead went missing for almost more than a decade which wasn't really surprising.
Then, unnecessary events soon followed increasing the girth of the book.
After what seemed like an eternity, when almost all the readers were in need of a glorious end, one among the female-leads actually burned up most of the planet where the Protagonist's harem was residing due to his own stupid activity.
Absolute despair!
Feng Xiluo couldn't make himself read further. He was certain that he wouldn't get the answer back. Not anytime soon...
Indeed, it remained to be his ever-lasting regret.
Feng Xiluo had even given up reading any web novels with girthy books, altogether. But he now was in the same book which he very much wanted to forget.
He was a doomed Villain.
Rest assured, Blue Pole Star still stands. It was actually swapped by Shui Meiyin during the time when Qingyue tried to incinerate it. As told here, Feng Xiluo had yet to know this answer.
