Chapter 309 - Legendary Swordman!?

Moments later after Miko had woken up and calmed down finally felt her mind had acquired its peace. She was looking at the young man who helped her to notice his body had bruises.

"How do you feel? Actually, can I have a moment to talk to her? It's nothing important but it is best to ask her privately."

"You're not planning on doing anything are you?"

She asked only to receive a laugh from Caelum. He understood her concern as they had just met and it would be bad to trust a stranger like him.

"No need to worry since if I had I'll intention then I would have already done it. You realize we're the only ones here right?"

Hana suddenly realized as they were far from the city and the shrine was an abandoned place that it would be easy for him to take action.

The worst thing is that no one would be able to know it was him. This made her relieved that they had sent him instead of other creeps.

"You're right, sorry for that hehehe."

"No, it's fine. You did the right thing to be wary of me but you two should have gone to a place where there are people or have more people presents to assure your safety."

She nodded before leaving the two to have a private talk. Caelum noticed her daze looking at her slightly anxious being around him and quickly understood. 

However, he put it aside for now and decided on focusing on her unique ability. Caelum never saw such powerful spiritual energy from a normal human even on earth; there were only a few people that had this energy.

Meanwhile, her friend had the same issue but the opposite as her spiritual energy drew the spirit towards her like a moth to a flame.

"You did great…"

Caelum patted her head making her look at him while tears fell from her eyes. She felt the warmth from his hand that finally broke her into tears. 

"I know you could see spirit, am I correct? No need to lie."

"Y-Yes, I have been able to see them recently and tried my best to ignore them but it is becoming more frequent. I just want them to go away."

"It would be difficult, to be honest. Do you know the reason why you acquire this ability?"

She shook her wanting to know the answer and thought it was a curse that made her this way. Caelum had few theories regarding the manifestation of her ability.

"I have a few guesses, one of them is from your heritage that passes down that has remained dormant. It has the highest possibility of being true." 

"Do you have a way to stop me from seeing them?"

"Unfortunately, No...at least not now. Though, by that time you would still suffer from seeing them unless you're willing to learn other methods."

"I'll do it! I just want them to go away."

She gave a desperate face making Caelum feel pity seeing his sister looking at her face. He gave a reassuring smile while patting her head.

"Well, I can't explain everything. How about meeting me in this location with your friend for safety then I'll explain ways to help you? For now, recite this phrase to help you counter them and make sure to remember every word."

Afterward, Caelum gave a simple sutra that calmed her mind and made the speed go away. It won't remove her vision but it helps ease her mind. 

Seeing grotesque creatures in day-to-day life is mentally exhausting and still shows how strong her mental state is. 

Miko buried every word from his mount, memorizing them instantly due to her desperation to finally escape seeing those monsters. 

She noticed that each time those were spoken a sense of soothing air surrounded her body and calming mind. 

"That's it. Now, this is the place where I stay. Feel free to visit on Saturday as I'm still in the process of moving."

Miko nodded as her friend returned asking her what he asked her but only lied about it. The two decided to give their prayers to the shrine before heading back down along with Caelum.

"Hey, can I ask for your phone number?"

"Ah, sorry I don't have a phone right now. I was planning to buy one."

"Oh really!? Then how about you come with us and help you pick one?"

"If you insist then I don't mind but aren't you trusting me too much?"

"Hehehe true but we were planning to go to the mall anyway."

"Then sure, I'll go."

"Yehey!"

Caelum chuckled then noticed how Miko got closer to him and did not want her to be at his side. Though, her friend couldn't tease her about it.

"Aw~ has my best friend found her first crush?"

"H-Haaanaa…!"

"Fufufuf look at you so flustered. Hey Caelum-san what do you think of my friend?"

"Alright stop Hana. We should get going."

Miko dragged her friend to stop embarrassing her while Caelum followed to find it entertaining how the two interact. 

They rode the public train that brought them straight to the mall as Miko at his side took a glance before turning even though Caelum noticed it even with his eyes closed meditating.

It was then another terrifying ghost appeared in front of her yet this time used the phrase to calm her mind removing the insanity-inducing effect.

She smiled from the release and felt gratitude at the man beside him who shut open his eyes before the ghost disintegrated into nothingness.

"W-What did-!?"

"Shush, you don't need to think about it too hard. Anyway, can you two tell me about yourself?"

Caelum asked to change the topic as the two told them about themselves, namely their schools and the year they were along with their hobbies.

"How about Caelum-san, anything about yourself? Do you have a girlfriend?"

"Hana told you to stop asking stupid stuff like that!?"

"Hey, I just want to know if he's single. I think you two are cute together."

Callum contemplates for a moment as he does have relationships with over a hundred thousand women within his Yggdrasil realm. though it was only possible for them to accept it was in their culture. 

"It might be weird to say this but I have multiple lovers from the country I live in."

Technically, Caelum's old country did not have to approve of polygamy but he had his own country. The jade emporium that he had ruled over.

"Wait, how does it even work? Do you treat them equally?"

"Yes, I do try to spend time with them as much as I can. They knew what they were doing when they gave their hearts to me and I appreciate every moment."

Caelum made sure to change the time dilation of the Yggdrasil to not make them wait for too long. He couldn't enter both his Jade pagoda and Yggdrasil at the moment but could still influence it.

Hearing him speak in so much passion under his words made the two blush. He accepted that equality would never achieve but try his hardest to provide love to each and every one. 

Though some of his wives rarely want attention like Alexstrasza (Ddraig) and

Lumeila (Albion) along with the rest of the dragon group.  

"Can you share their names? I want to meet them."

"Hehehe unfortunately not. I can't tell you why though."

"Awwww that's a bummer but thank you for being honest."

Meanwhile, Miko, who had her broken-hearted hearing his words then regains hope when she finds out they didn't mind sharing.

They chatted for a few minutes getting shocked by Milo when Hana showed the video of him training and saw the phantom surprising her. 

It was clear as day and even felt every impact of the strike collide with his flesh. It made her ponder more about him every time she discovers new things about him.

"Amazing! Where did you learn to move like that? "

"Training and meditation. Oh, we're here.

Before long the train arrived near the mall and headed their way to the place. He followed the two while gaining a few people's attention due to his aura around him.

His fierce gazes and shredded muscle was enough to make few people crane their heads, especially his foreign red hair. It was akin to a certain man who held the title of the strongest creature.
