He did not expect to spend the time with two young girls that he had just met along the way. Caelum considered their encounter was no mere consequence even more so when one had the ability to see ghosts and the other attracted them.
The world he was in was more than meets the eyes and decided to hack vital information in case there was any worth looking into.
Normally, he would have used Omniscient in this kind of situation or even his system. Unfortunately, they were sealed incapable of gathering information unless he took the moment to resort to using his intellect.
Caelum was an expert in hacking and programming due to being part of the Gaming Scripture. He is capable of making virtual reality that could be compared to real-life from the tiniest detail.
Furthermore, the essence of a crafter that is in a weakened state allows him to build his own machinery that creates Virtual Reality devices.
'Maybe I could find a gaming company who could make games for me. Hmmmm I'll check on it later for now I need a phone.'
Caelum had the Gaming Scripture and it would be a waste to not use it in creating a virtual reality. It would be the perfect place to increase his strength by applying a few things.
The Scripture itself is never about the knowledge of games rather everything regarding the game such as how it is created.
He was taken by the young girls to the electronic store to see all kinds of devices that had specific brands.
Caelum had noticed the two girls only had flip phones that showed how they don't have money to buy expensive phones.
The phone display had touchscreen devices yet they were extremely expensive ranging from few thousand to tens of thousand Yen.
"How about you two buy for each other? Don't worry I'll pay for it as a thank you for accompanying me."
"W-Wait it's alright. You don't need to! We were just going to the same place, it isn't necessary to repay us."
"Yeah, we do like the gesture but we already have phones."
They tried their best to reject him while appreciating his charming gesture that he had been doing since they had met.
Caelum is a kind man willing to help people so long that it won't be a problem for him or his family.
He had millions of yen that won't feel any change from buying two phones for them.
Caelum could always fight again in the underground arena and Tokugawa would likely pay him after helping him heal his body.
"Please, I insist. It won't be a problem I promise."
Caelum persistently made them take second thoughts before deciding to accept the offer.
They went ahead and picked their own, taking their time to choose the one that is not that expensive. Caelum notice frowned a bit.
"Don't worry about the price. I have a lot of money in my bank, just choose whatever phone you want."
"Are you sure? We're total strangers, why do this?"
Miko could not help but ask, noticing that since the beginning that he had been kind to them.
She felt in debt to him for stopping those ghosts from scaring her but still had her doubts and hesitations.
"There's a saying that 'strangers are friends you have yet met on your journey.' My guts told me to help you and I did."
At the end of the day, Caelum is fateless that could decide his fate, and everything appears in his favor even how slow or fast it is.
"Miko, look at this phone! This is perfect for you."
Her friend seamlessly picked the phone that was already expensive causing her to facepalm how carefree her friend was.
Miko decided to give in and choose an android Mobile phone that had a fingerprint scanner. Two saw the price slightly anxious then heard Caelum chuckle while handing his card.
"I have over a million after I've won a fight recently. It isn't a large sum enough to break my bank."
"Wait, you're a fighter? Then why haven't I seen you on any television?"
"It's a secret."
Caelum smirk hides the answer making the carefree girl ponder wanting to get the answer. She only understood that this person was perfect from being handsome and strong to be rich but the most important thing is his kindness and charm.
Once they bought the two phones headed their way to have a snack. It was a fast-food restaurant and Caelum had bought nearly all available food.
"Wow, can you finish them all?"
"My body needed a larger portion of nutrients than other people. You would be surprised but this is small compared to what I usually eat."
"...Are you even human?"
"Nope!"
Caelum answered honestly but he doubted she would believe him. They went to find a table and took the time to play around with their phone.
He already knew everything about technology and even had a more high-tech one at his company. Caelum uses the system of the phone to hack into the databases of government intel.
[A/N: as a semi-programmer, this hurts me as it isn't as easy as how movies do it.]
It took a while due to how old the tech is but eventually broke through their systems before copying all the files then removing the traces of his action.
Afterward, He read every document written from the file. Caelum grew interested in a few individuals that by looking at them made his fighting spirit boils.
'Yujiro Hanma, Biscuit Oliva, Hayanama Karou….interesting. The first one is the Great Grandmaster's level of skill and power.'
The images from this person were unbelievable that even the photo made Caelum feel the tenses of its aura. He witnesses his near terrifying yet perfect physique that burns power.
His back muscle made him more fearsome, a symbol of absolute power and dominance that only the primal instinct of running away was the motion. It took the shape of a grinning demon, a sign of natural-born fighting.
This person is comparable to Miyamoto Musashi and reluctant to do his mind training as it would likely fling his body upon impulses.
'Hmm? There's a recent video about him."
Caelum hacked his way to the internet giving access to free wifi and allowing him to watch a fight called the father and son quarrel.
He witnesses the young man before Baki fighting the monster who appeared to be his father. Their battle was fierce, letting him know the impact of every strike and the sound from their first collision was not like human flesh akin more to a cannonball.
Caelum felt invested in every move and power they made, even showing the primal form of fighting. This is the clear difference between a war to a battle.
'This is what I've lost. A simple battle without any extra power, only their flesh and their tenacity.'
Humans had developed guns and weapons, losing their primal ability to fight creatures to survive. They are unable to sharpen their ability causing them to be weak.
This was no different when Caelum relied on magic and mystical power rather than first relying on his natural-born ability. The sight before him is what humanity is capable of when pushed to its limits without any power.
He finished the video clip feeling disappointed at how the end was but to be acknowledged by this monster was an accomplishment that none could do.
"Hey what were you watching? Oh, that! Do you think it's real? It was all over the news and people say it was real but that's impossible, right?"
"Maybe, but if it was real then I'd like to see this person and fight him."
"Waah if that person is real then you would die. Have you seen what he did to that person?"
"Nah, I'm not scared. I've seen much scarier things."
He looked at Miko who had been quietly taking a picture of him then blush when she turned to her quickly hiding the phone.
A few minutes later their food arrived and began to eat their meal as Caelum quickly ate everything surprising the two. He had savored everything to sincerely understand the path of the warrior.
It was the true survival of the fittest. We kill and eat to survive yet humans know when to show appreciation for the life they took. They finished their meal as Caelum decided to head to visit his new home.
"This is where we part ways. I've already shared my number if you need anything from no need to be afraid."
"Is that so…well we had fun, didn't we Miko?"
"Y-Yeah, thank you again for giving us new phones."
"You're welcome. See you two around."
Caelum turned towards the other direction heading his way to the apartment complex where Doppo gave him. He had enough for the day wanting to take a rest.
