Lunch...Date?

12:30 PM, Blue Ocean Restaurant

Blue Ocean Restaurant is famous for hot pot and seafood. Something that the four discovered the night before is that hot pot plus seafood equals nirvana so this was perfect. Lin Ya and Fan Mei exit the car and wait at the entrance of the restaurant for the men. They catch the attention of all the men in the area, something that displeases Qin Jie and Pan Huan upon their arrival.

The four of them enter the restaurant and go to the VIP table. After they sit down Qin Jie immediately cuts to the chase.

"Thank you for accompanying us for lunch today. What is it that you had to talk about?" His tone is relaxed but Lin Ya senses a slightly nervous undertone. 'Why?'

Lin Ya nods to Fan Mei who pulls the printed email and contract from the NGO, TY. She hands it to Pan Huan who reads over it before passing it to Qin Jie. Lin Ya's eyes never leave Qin Jie as she watches his reaction to the letter. She observes that his eyebrows raise.

"What does this letter mean?" Qin Jie asks despite knowing the meaning already. He just wants to hear it from her own lips.

"TY was the NGO that helped me get through a lot of bad stuff in the past. It is the reason that LY enterprises exists today. They have never asked for anything before until now. As you see, they want me to model for them now that I am exposed to the public. They said that I can either choose a male partner or they will provide one for me. Frankly, I am not comfortable modeling with people I don't know so I was wondering if--"

"I can do it." Qin Jie cuts her off. Of course he would accept the opportunity with the girl he supposedly 'loves.' Besides, it would be horrible for her to appear on the big screen with some other man. The thought was too terrible to imagine.

"I will warn you that this ad will be produced and put almost everywhere. You will have more exposure than before. TY is promoting a youth advocacy program that will appeal to people under 30 years old." Lin Ya is sure to inform him of what will happen if he accepts the deal.

"I still accept. I am already widely known as the nation's most eligible bachelor." Qin Jie says with a shrug making Pan Huan and Fan Mei almost spit out their drinks. Isn't Qin Jie acting too shameless right now.

Lin Ya seems unaffected on the exterior - much unlike the assistants.

"Good that you will do it then." She gives a warm smile to Qin Jie who is once again awestruck by the innocent beauty in her face.

"When is the shoot? I need to arrange my schedule around it." Qin Jie's tone in all business again. He is taking this opportunity into the highest consideration and of the highest importance.

"In two weeks from today, at the TY headquarters in City A. We will travel by plane together as it is convenient." Lin Ya is unaware of the sparks igniting in Qin Jie's heart as she says the word 'together.' She continues to innocently blink her eyes, unsure of why there are strange reactions from the rest of the people at the table.

Pan Huan can only sigh in pity at his bosses excitement. Fan Mei feels the same but is astonished again by her best friends naivety.

The food arrives quickly afterwards and the four eat together and then leave back to their businesses.

Qi Corporation

Qin Jie can't focus on his work anymore. His concentration was shot once he signed the contract to be in a modeling ad with his woman. If Lin Ya asked him to do anything, he realizes, that he would be at her beck and call. Even if it was crazy, he would do everything in his power to make her happy and to see her warm smile again.

Pan Huan is in his own type of trance like state. He can't help but be drawn to Fan Mei. He admires her for subbing for Lin Ya for years while building the LY enterprises up to its current glory. She has a tiny figure but when necessary, produces a domineering aura that can make the harshest business figures bite their tongues and comply with her demands. Seeing her happy face when confronted with food at the restaurant, he knows that she is a foodie and not ashamed about it. Her puppy-like innocence speaks lengths to him.

It is not until the third time Qin Jie calls his name that Pan Huan snaps out of his mind. Seeing his best friends smile, his face pales a little bit.

"What are you thinking about, Pan Huan?" The teasing tone grates on Pan Huan's nerves. He automatically starts to blush red.

"N-nothing right now." Pan Huan quickly says and to his surprise, Qin Jie drops the subject and instead looks over a text from Lin Ya that just came.

It seems that life has thrown a curveball at the both of them, thoroughly transforming them into boys with love.
