Backwards and forwards

I can feel the excitement at the fact I am right and the fact my ability isn't as they said but at the same time I am worried as someone with the ability too turn back time is likely too be viewed as too dangerous and I may be sent too a mutant containment facility instead of too the mutant training facility.

But if I want too hide my difference I need to learn how too hide my differences and too do so I need complete control of my ability.

So for the following week when not doing schooling or other required things I am in the bathroom practicing although little results have come of attempting too control I have successfully activated my ability once without injury.

I realize it is far harder too do then I could have predicted as the only reason that I succeeded in that attempt is because I imagined the tingly sensation from when I healed and was able too lift a single drop of water back into my hands but only that and after I went too sleep as I was exhausted from just that. Apparently if not in a life or death situation using my ability has a massive draw on my stamina.

I am adjusting too the new life when out of nowhere an alarm happens and even as I wait for people too some as to know what is happening no one does, I wait but even after the alarm dies down no one comes and so I continue back too practice.

It isn't until tomorrow morning I learn that a group of rebels broke in and wanted too steal information.

Apparently they would have killed the oldest girl if they had succeeded so the base had already known in advance and could catch them quickly, but I realize if I wish too fit in with them I needed too also see the future but I am unsure if my ability will allow that as all I have been able too do is turn back time not go forward they are drastically different concepts.

I contemplate how too practice such thing and think of using one of the metal cups in the bathroom in order too practice trying too make it rust, if it does the I can also speed up time rather than turn it back and may even be able too peer into the future.

So my practice changes from turning things back too making things go forward but nothing comes of it even as two weeks pass slowly my belief it will work wanes and I ask the doctor who visits for information on how they train mutants as I was big on biology and want too study it since I can't do anything else right now and no one tell.

They agree too the request and I am given the training book the next day and begin too read it, the way too use ones ability is a mix of imagination and feeling the energy inside ones self.

I am able too imagine but my capability in sensing the energy is limited too imitating what I have already experienced the advice from the book says hat meditation often helps those with low sensitivity too control it better so that is what I do.

After another month of meditating and practice a small tiny spot of rust shows on the cup after one attempt, barely the size of the tip of a pencil it is proof that I can both speed up and reverse time.

I can somewhat control the energy but I need too focus all of it too one spot to even have it take affect I am a far way off from truly using it but I think I may know a way too see the future as manipulating my own body is far easier then manipulating other things.

I focus the energy too go forward into my eyes and slowly think of the next attack too come and nothing not even a hint at anything.

I groan as sleep time comes and still nothing I continue too try and do it even as sleep claims me.

I awake too an alarm and the sound of gun fire my room pitch black from the lights having been cut, sounds of bodies hitting the floor can be heard and I go too the computer too see the date 09.19.3054.

A good two months from now is when the next attack is set too occur at least from what I can tell is occurring.

I hear banging as someone comes closer then the door too my room is busted and a man in pitch black combat gear and an energy gun in hand stand there, he comes too me and grabs my hair dragging me behind him as I see the others also being forcefully taken except for the oldest who's room only has a gunshot come from and a person in the same uniform walks out with her nowhere too be seen.

We are brought too the room in front of he elevator and sniffling from the two younger ones is heard, I need more information so I ask.

"Why do this it's not like you can beat the military so why." I get a smack too the face and a gun pointed at my face.

"Silence or you will be shot down just like the other one." Okay no information then.

I wait until we are brought up the elevator and too a warship before attempting too use my ability on the man too see what would happen if I sped up time on a person, within seconds he is nothing more then a sack of skin and bones on the floor and shots ring out as I am killed.

I wake panting and too a doctor in front of me asking me questions I can't quiet hear slowly sleep claims me once more, no visions come this time.

Awakening too a pounding head and an I.V. in my arm I look too see a nurse sitting at my bedside and seeing me awake she pushes a button next too her and starts asking me basic questions like how do you feel and what type of mood I am in.

A man in a military uniform enters and the nurse leaves after making sure all is alright.

"The vision you had appears too have quiet an affect on you we need too know what you saw so we can prevent the problem." I tell him everything I saw from the men breaking in too the date it would occur.

The man appeared shock at the date I gave but when asked if I am sure then is when it will occur I nod my head and he purses his lips, thanks me and leaves.

I am sent back too my room to relax he rest of the day before I will return too the normal schedule.

I was knocked out for two days apparently and nothing they did would wake me up causing worry that something had gone wrong, but like nothing happened everything returned too normal and as the time of the attack I predicted comes the eldest girl also disappears for a day before returning.

On the day of an alarm rings for only a few minutes before calm returns and the days return back to normal.

Finally my first year here passes and I am thirteen years old when another induced vision gives me a shock, I see the head doctor of us and the military man working along side the rebels too catch us and no matter what I do they do not kill us making it so I can't claim it a vision.

The break in I saw was only two weeks away and there is little time too warn them.

I go to the bathroom and do the only thing I can think of too get attention to myself I drown myself in the bathtub, although the bathtub has a emergency feature meant too prevent this I use time ability too make a part wear out and like that I lay under the water using a blanket too keep myself in the water by tying it around my neck and then to the plug at the bottom.

Blackness over takes me and I hear the alarm ringing and the sound of the door opening.
